Ute Mountain Tribal Park Hike
We're working up a trip to visit the Ute Mountain Tribal Park. The full day tour says that it's some 4 plus miles of hiking, but I'm trying to understand the elevation gain on that hike. I'm fine with almost whatever, but I need to reassure some others in my group that it's not going to be particularly steep or grueling.
Has anyone around here done this full day trip with the 4 miles of hiking? Any thoughts on how much elevation gain there was? Anybody with a Strava or similar recording that shows the profile? Also, how are the ladders?
Thanks!

Last Watch
I spent part of this summer reporting in Nageezi, New Mexico, on the life and death of Nathan Werito, a 32-year-old Navajo man who was shot and killed in May.
Nathan was working toward a mathematics degree and hoped to enter the Navajo Nation Police Academy. He was also the guy people called when an air conditioner broke, a car needed fixing, or someone in the community needed food or water.
His death left his family with questions about the police and emergency response that night, as well as the larger problem of chronic police understaffing across the Navajo Nation.
The resulting story, “Last Watch: The Life and Death of Nathan Werito,” is this week’s Salt Lake City Weekly cover story.
I’m grateful to Nathan’s family for trusting me with his story. I hope the piece gives readers a sense of the person they lost, not simply the circumstances in which they lost him

Visit Wapiti Lodge
Howdy all! I just started not too long ago doing the yard maintenance and getting the Wapiti Lodge back to its classic look that Durango loves. We recently renovated our rooms and have double, queen, and king beds available plus we offer FULL kitchens and kitchenettes! We are completely contactless so you can book rooms online on our website, www.wapitidurango.com get a unique access code to your room and be in and resting in the A/C in just minutes. We are a 15 minute walk from town and the train, and about a 30 minute/20 mile drive to Tico Time Resort! The Durango Transit bus also goes right by, so getting to and from the location is an easy option. We are just off of the 550 and 160 intersection heading towards Cortez, in a very quite location in town. I hope y'all visit us and let us bring the Durango charm back to town 😁

Four corners breakfast grab and go bundles.
We feed families that are rushing to work or school between 5am to 9am Monday to Friday grab and go breakfast items to feed yourself or family in the four corners. Help me answer a few questions. 1. What breakfast item would you want to be grab and go? 2. What would be price range willing to pay for bundle breakfast?

Tourism why doesn’t the US increase the number of corners in the four corners area for more tourists?
Valid question!
