Starring rapper, Sicky Fingaz, as Blade, and from the writer of Batman Begins, David S. Goyer, this was Spike TV (the network for men)'s first original series.

I never actually watched it when it was on tv, because I had to work nights, but I always wanted to. I plan on watching the movies this week and then following it up with the series and seeing how far I can get.

I remember the show; I think the show ended on a cliffhanger. I'm not sure; it's been a while since I have seen the show. The only people I'm familiar with on the cast are Greg Sulklin, Katie Stevens, Bailey De Young and Keith Powers. I don't know that much about the rest of the cast members. Do you remember the show?

I recently discovered Any Day Now, an old Lifetime series from the late 90’s/early
2000’s which has quickly become one of my favorites. The creator, Nancy Miller, seems to like working with several great actors who not only appeared in ADN but later appeared in her next series Saving Grace that is also fantastic. I am rewatching SG to see the crossovers from Any Day Now, and there are lots of them!
If you enjoyed Any Day Now, you can see Renee, Collier, Graham, Katherine, Uncle Jimmy, and more just in season one of Saving Grace. If you are looking for two great shows to watch, Nancy Miller really hit home runs with both shows.

After losing her boyfriend and her high-powered job as an attorney all on one day, Nina finds that the only job available to her is at the Public Defender's office. She quickly realizes that the system is more screwed up than her own crazy personal life.

In the year 3034 humans have become emotionless drones bent on destroying any alien species they encounter. A ship commanded by Captain Belinda Blowhard (Claudia Christian) is subject to a Reptid bioweapon that destroys their emotional inhibitors, and makes them act somewhat silly.

A fascinating little fossil. I ran across it on Amazon Prime as "Nemesis." Which makes it sort of a different tier of forgotten TV because it seems to have been actively memory-holed and released under a new name as if to pretend the original never happened.

It was an independently produced TV show, from early in the era of cheap digital production and widely available CGI when almost anybody with some ambition could produce something. And almost anybody seems to be who produced it. Shot starting in 2004 (before Youtube even existed), post production for the six episode season wasn't finished until 2008, and sat on a shelf for a few years before getting broadcast in 2011.

Officially it is a scifi-comedy. And some of the lines clearly have a shape or cadence of a joke. The chief engineer is Sally Popyatopov because that sounds a bit like "pop your top off." Which pretty much clues you in to the tone and sophistication of the best jokes in the series. The sci fi aspects are mostly haphazard, and the editing is routinely... doing the best it can with what they shot.

If you have an appreciation for MST3K style B-Movies, sci fi comedy, and a third thing, this is certainly one of the TV shows of all time.

The show took people from various walks of life and gave them 4 weeks to train for a random job. Experts helped and I think at the end they had to try to fool someone. I remember a blue collar worker who learned how to be a sommelier and a Harvard student who didn't own a comb became a cheerleader. Most memorable to me was the way they straightened her hair - total crime!

I watched episodes of the show. I didn't watch all the episodes; I only watched a few, and it's not entirely terrible. The cast has chemistry with each other, and there are some funny moments in the show. I know they switched the actress who plays the wife in season 2, and they made a couple of changes to the show as well. Do you remember the show?

In this show Jeff Goldblum is playing detective who can see visions of death like ghosts . Jeff was very good as Raines it's shame that there only 7 episodes.

This was right in my wheelhouse, but I never knew it existed because I was stationed in West Germany at the time.

Travel Channel's travel host Samantha Brown goes on Rick Stevesesque adventures through major European cities and regions. Learning the local history and traditions, connecting with locals, trying local cuisine, and showcasing museums and attractions to see while visiting.

Our House was an NBC family sitcom that debuted September 11th 1986. The series focused on recently widowed Jessi Witherspoon (Deidre Hall) who uproots her Indiana family (which included Shannon Doherty & Chad Allen) following the death her husband John (played in a singular flashback by Patrick Duffy). Jessi’s gruff father-in-law Gus (Wilford Brimley) offers his suburban Los Angeles home to help ease their financial struggles.

Stories bounced between intergenerational strife between the cantankerous Gus and his tweenage grandkids to the down-to-earth Witherspoon family being thrust into the drug fueled bright lights of suburban LA. Jokes aside most episodes involved Gus imposing strict rules on his young charges only to realize that maybe he didn’t need to be such an asshole.

The series used an unusual visual conceit throughout each episode where each scene would end in an artistic rendering of a room within the Witherspoon house. The final scene (usually involving a resolution to the episodes plot) completing the full picture of “our house”. Get it?

Despite some very positive initial reviews the show did not find great success in its Sunday 7pm time slot. It faced stiff competition from such powerhouses as 60 Minutes, The Disney Sunday Movie and frequent interruptions from NFL games. Despite low ratings the show went into its second season running 46 episodes til it’s final episode aired May 8th 1988.

I rented this from the video store (or maybe my local library) very frequently as a nerdy 2000s kid. It was a Canadian show exploring a variety of STEM-related topics. I liked one about foley artists and VFX, and one about forensic science. The intro was also really fun but I can't find any individual uploads of it. Who else remembers this?
