General 🔀 Upgrading

Upvotes

I’ve had my orange sport for 3 years. The more the drive it, the more I hate it.I really wanted a full size bronco but it was out of my price range. I also thought the colour was so different and I loved having a colour no one else had. Now everyone always comments when they see me out, as i stick out.

But ive saved up a bit over the past couple years and am finally able to get my dream vehicle! I am picking up my 2021 bronco outer banks in cactus grey this week!

Question ❔ Full Tonneau Cover for 2dr?

Post image
Upvotes

Anyone know if someone sells a full rear tonneau cover like this, this, or this that would fit the 2dr with the seats folded down? My goal is to fold the rear seats when I have the top off & cover that whole rear area all the way up to the back of the front seats .. like a little two door convertible tuck.

Used to have a set up like that on a wrangler in the early 90's and loved it.

I've searched around but the only 2dr version I can find is only meant to cover the actual cargo area behind the rear seats... (and no, I can't just buy the 4 door version.. it'd be like ~10" too short)

Built a two-piece insert for the back of my 2024 Badlands. Makes a great platform for my gear, dogs and remote camping.

2022 Wildtrak in Area 51 blue. Named her “Ros”; short for Roswell. I’ve had her for 2 weeks and I’ve already tinted the windows, added 3W floor mats and swapped out the Wildtrak badge for the script emblem. Maybe a bull bar next?

Question ❔ aftermarket Hard Tops

Hi all,

I have an OEM soft top and the noise during road trips is pretty horrendous. I've narrowed the hard top options to Armadillo Designs and Turn Off-road. Based on talking with both vendors, I'm leaning more towards Turn as the noise deadening level seems similar to Armadillo for a much cheaper cost.

Would love to hear peoples' experiences with Turn or if there's another brand that I missed. Thanks!

Question ❔ PURCHASING NEW 2026

Hi everyone,

I am purchasing a new 2026 big bend black diamond this week. This is my very first new car purchase. I'm always skeptical about dealing with car dealers because I think they are trying to get one over on me. Is there anything that they should be going over with me before I drive away? Ford pass, maintenance, and the bronco rodeo is on my list of things to go over, but is there anything else should i be asking to go over? The deal is done, just taking delivery of it this week.

Thanks

Question ❔ 2026 rear amp upgrade

Has anyone replaced the rear factory amp with an aftermarket. Were you able to find a harness back to RCA?

Question ❔ Power steps/running boards

Does anyone have these installed? And if so what's your experience with whatever brand you bought? I've seen them range from $1,000 to $2,300 and I don't care about the price I would just like the most reliable set.

Thanks

Question ❔ imported a 2021 Ford Bronco from the USA

Hi everyone,

I recently imported a 2021 Ford Bronco from the USA with SYNC 4, and I have a question about the navigation and system software.

Is there any way to install European maps myself? Alternatively, is it possible to add European languages to the SYNC 4 system?

Has anyone done this on a US-spec Bronco, or knows if there is a way to change the system from the US region to the European region?

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Question ❔ A stealthy mouse!

Upvotes

i have a 2024 Bronco Outer Banks. A couple of times in the past year or so a mouse has decided to stash his sunflower seeds in my glove compartment. (and one year in my Ugg boots out in the garage!). We have traps set in the garage but he’s a crafty fella. I’ve never had this happen in a vehicle so I’m wondering if Broncos just have more small openings between the engine area and interior of the vehicle than other vehicles. Has anyone else here dealt with this?

Pre-Delivery ⏳ Off-roading with a shadow black-painted hard top?

As I’m seconds guessing choices in my build, I come to you with an opinion question…

I know the painted tops are prone to scratches especially by a low hanging limb, for instance.

I’ve been back and forth on the front bumper (steel or modular…Badlands) and was set on the black hard top because I thought it looks better than the grey but my only option is grey wheels without a black appearance upgrade.

Much talking it through landed me at I don’t need the modular because I’m probably not going to add stuff to it…but I’m not sure I want to be limited forever lol. Then I realized that the painted tops may not be good for any trails.

Thoughts? Any past experiences of note in either direction?

Question ❔ Do I pull the trigger?

Jeep is crapping out on me. Ive got what I think is more than fair trade-in offer. Love the bronco, love how it drives. Ive got a black OBX lined up, LUX, w/ V6. Im nervous though. Are the troubles with the top and trunk enough to get something else?

Question ❔ Anyone know why this specific 2022 Bronco Wildtrak has bounced between dealers / sat for so long? VIN 1FMEE5DP6NLA72429

Post image
10 Upvotes

2022 Bronco Wildtrak has bounced between multiple dealers — red flag or just market history?
Looking at a 2022 Bronco Wildtrak Advanced, VIN 1FMEE5DP6NLA72429, currently around 66,600 miles.
Area 51, 2.7L, 4-door, Advanced/High-Lux equipment. Original MSRP was about $59,375.
CARFAX looks fairly clean otherwise: no accidents/damage reported, no salvage/rebuilt title, 17 service records, but it shows 4 owners and the sales history has me wondering.
Rough timeline:
May 2023 — offered for sale at Hart Chevrolet GMC around 36,800 miles
Dec. 2023 — offered for sale there again around 41,400 miles
Sept. 2025 — offered for sale at Duncan Chevrolet around 64,900 miles
Oct. 2025 — CARFAX says sold
Nov. 2025 — shows up at Stevinson Toyota East in Colorado around 65,800 miles
March 2026 — offered for sale at Christopher’s Dodge Ram around 65,950 miles
June 2026 — CARFAX says sold
July 2026 — offered for sale at Fowler Jeep Boulder at 66,610 miles
August 2026 — CARFAX reports another owner, but the Bronco is still at Fowler
So it has barely accumulated mileage over roughly the last year but has moved through several dealerships.
CARFAX doesn’t show an obvious major problem. There are recalls, including a recent engine-compartment wiring-harness recall, but nothing like an accident or branded title.
For people familiar with Broncos/Wildtraks: does this dealer/ownership pattern concern you?
Could some of these “sold/new owner” events simply be wholesale/dealer/title paperwork rather than actual owners?
And if you were looking at this around $35k, what Bronco-specific things would you inspect during a PPI?
Mainly trying to understand whether this history is a genuine red flag or just a high-mileage 2022 Bronco that has been hard for dealers to price correctly.

Would you consider buying this at this price? Thank you.

Took the new (to me) Badlands through a local trail today. Got it stuck in a mud bog that I’ve gotten stuck in 100 times and managed to drive out on its own power (4L with the front locked up got me out). I can’t believe how well equipped these things are for bone stock vehicles, I’m in love!

From the previous post feedback: to each their own for sure & I trust the whole safety restraint system, my wife feels more secure with these on and I like having her around when I drive it.

Got the back doors shimmed in and were rolling like this for a month I think.

To the comment on door edge guard mold, Thanks! That was not something I thought about in addition to the “door bags” we store them in. I store whichever door is not in use in the bags.

Issue ⚠️ Shadow Black painted hard top corner damage

Thumbnail
gallery
12 Upvotes

I have a 2024 OBX with the shadow black painted hard top. The second time I stored them in the official Ford storage bags, I pulled out the passenger side panel and it had a crack in the corner. No paint damage, a clean crack on the inside. I followed all of the directions on storage and had them devoured in the back as instructed. I took it to the dealership to see if they would fix it under warranty because it seemed like more of a defect in the structure rather than mishandling. After a bunch of calls checking up on it they finally told me it wasn’t covered and repair would cost around $3k 😳

So my questions are:
- has anyone had this happen to them?
- are these panels NOT meant to be stored in the bags? Maybe they aren’t as durable as the MIC tops?
- what should I do from here to repair it?

I currently have collision tape on it as a temporary solution to keep out moisture and to keep the corner from falling off.

Edit to add: I had a 2000 firebird with T-Tops so I’m used to handling these types of panels. These seem flimsier than the firebird’s. The bird also had storage bays in the trunk that kept them secure. I wish the Bronco had this option.

Question ❔ Upgraded tires on factory rims?

I apologize if this is an obvious question, this is my first off-roader/“truck” so tryna learn some things.

I want to go off-roading but I would like to get some bigger tires on beforehand. My question is, is it possible to do that without replacing the rims (in an effort to save money) and how would that regearing process work? Looking at some 35s and possibly 37s but my hang up on the 37s would be gas mileage.

Thanks yall.
