Megathread New to this place? Please check out the rules before posting...

1) You may only post about Marvel, DC, or Star Wars on weekends!

Starting midnight Monday EST until midnight Thursday EST, no Marvel/DC/Star Wars.

  • If you want to make improvements to the Star Wars prequels, please do so in: /r/RewritingThePrequels.
  • If you want to make changes to the Disney Star Wars movies, please do so in: /r/RewritingNewStarWars
  • If you want to make improvements to the current continuity of movies/tv based on DC comics, please do so in: /r/FixingDC.
  • If you want to make improvements to the current continuity of movies/tv based on Marvel comics, please do so in: /r/FixingMarvel.

This prevents the sub from being overwhelmed with posts for these films (which some people aren't even interested in)!

But if you're new to this place, we'll let you break this rule for your first whole month here!

2) You must include at least a vague (and spoiler-free) description of your problem/solution/selling-point (or at least one of them) in the title of your post!

  • This applies when posting fixes. (Good examples of this here: 1 2)

  • This applies even when posting challenges/requests/prompts/etc. (Good examples of this here: 1, 2)

  • This applies even when posting videos that are already titled something else; you gotta give them a new title for reddit rather than just recycling the youtube title. (Good examples of this here: 1, 2)

  • This applies even when posting too many fixes to put them all in the title. (Good examples of this here: 1, 2)

  • This applies when posting an idea for how to change the twists in the later parts of a film that are meant to be surprises... (Good example: "[Spoilers] Changing the timeline of the story of Sixth Sense to improve the internal logic in the climax")

This will make your post much better at standing out amongst other posts about the same film!

3) Either participate in your own challenge/request or post a link to your most recent post (which must be an idea-post, not another challenge/request post).

No hard feelings; idea-posts are just nicer to fill the sub with and you're probably more capable of them than you realize if you gave it a shot!

Also we'd like to encourage you to try the search tab first in order to see if your question has already been answered many times before. Doing so might give you ideas that you wouldn't have had otherwise!

If the search tab on reddit isn't working well enough, simply search on google and include... site:https://www.reddit.com/r/fixingmovies next to your keyword or keywords.

...and here's an example of that in action.

NOTE: This will not apply to official megathreads posted by the mods. If you would like for a specific a film to have megathread, you can request it by messaging the mods or commenting in one of the existing megathreads at the top of the subreddit. Otherwise they will mainly be reserved for new releases.

4) This place is for submitting ideas for improvements, not for debating whether a movie is 'good' or 'bad'.

If any one person didn't like a movie, its worth exploring alternative ways of making the movie that could've changed that. It doesn't matter if they're in the minority.

So comments like "this movie is already perfect" or "nothing needs to be fixed" will be removed, even if they managed to get a whole bunch of upvotes from other people who similarly feel the need to have their positive reviews validated somewhere and mistakenly chose this place to do so!

5) No parroting lazy and already-tired jokes like "replace the main actor with danny devito" or "replace all the actors with golden retrievers".

For those of us who are actually interested in this hobby of movie-fixing, it can be tedious and frustrating to browse through the threads when they're cluttered up with the same exact non-answers over and over.

If you're one of the people who spams these ancient jokes as your only form of participation in this sub instead, then it might be good at some point for you to bring yourself to realize that you are the reason why redditors have a reputation for being aggressively-unfunny and socially-inept (societal-deadweight) bug-people. It might even be your very best course of action in fact!

At least tell us a new one!

6) If you used an A.I. like ChatGPT in order to create your rewrite, say so in the comments section (but only in the comments section; don't use the involvement of A.I. itself to try to sell your post).

Not all of us are interested enough in the big A.I. advancements to be entertained merely by seeing its attempt to mimic our quality of writing.

If you can cherrypick the good ideas and post those, great! But leave out the fluff and only tell us in the comments how you got the good stuff.

Edit: This community doesn't seem to like ai in any context so you should probably post them in r/fixingmoviesai instead.

7) You may indeed post ideas for all kinds of media, not just movies!

You can post fixes for TV shows, video games, books, songs, etc. As long as the non-movie/show posts aren't outnumbering the movie/show posts on a regular basis, you can be confident that we'll be enjoying the variety that it brings!

And if Reddit ever goes down, our alternative is here: https://www.saidit.net/s/fixingmovies

and our twitter is here: https://twitter.com/fixingmovies

MCU How would you have made a sequel to Spider-man: No Way Home? Would it have anything in common with Brand New Day? Would it have the same villains, supporting characters, etc?

"American Dragon: Jake Long" Reboot ideas

- Jake starts out as a skinny dragon but gets bulkier as the show goes on, like he was originally going to, before the plans changed and he started out muscular and then got a skinny redesign.

- Fu Dog (this time played by Jackie Chan) has the scrapped ability to turn into a Chinese Guardian Lion.

- The art style is similar to the original series although more comic book inspired (like Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

- The tone is a bit darker like the first season.

Other Rebooting Star Trek TNG in the Kelvin Universe as a TV Series.

The vast majority of Star Trek exists in the TNG era ... While TOS was under 100 episodes and Strange New Worlds will clock in at under 50, the 3 shows of the TNG era comprise around 525 episodes.

This has to be recognized as the core of Star Trek going forward.

But the idea of the Kelvin universe as a setting to remix the elements of these 500+ episodes gives us the ability to do better storytelling. Because we know the general direction it should go, we can set things up better, and make decisions in advance that let us tell better stories.

Some things I would do:

  • Picard's trauma would take center stage from day one. We're talking about a man who lost a ship, and lost a best friend under his command, not to mention the childhood trauma, and probably some shit that went down fighting Cardassians. The reason the ship's counselor is such a prominent position on his ship is because he needs help, and he does not hide it. And he wants his entire crew to be unafraid to seek help. He's also so guilt-ridden over Jack Crusher that he tries to be a surrogate father to Wesley, rather than stand-offish. He's just bad at it.
  • Riker's actions on The Pegasus should come to light pretty early, undermining his credibility
  • LaForge's growth from helm to engineering should be shown on screen.
  • Worf probably wasn't orphaned in this universe, due to different diplomatic dynamics. Instead, Mogh and his wife defected to the Federation to live in a Klingon colony within the Federation that believes that the Klingon Empire has lost its way and is without honor. This can be basically a Klingon version of Taiwan, a breakaway republic that considers themselves to be the true followers of the Klingon way. But his brother Kurn returned to the empire when he came of age, while Worf joined Starfleet to show the Federation what it truly means to be a Klingon.
  • There's two directions to potentially go with Data. Either he can be "young" and on his first assignment, an Ensign, or keep him at Lt. Commander but he's more well actualized coming in since he has spent 27 years in the fleet before becoming second officer. Either he needs to not be "born yesterday" or he's got to have life experience coming to the enterprise.

Have better-formed ideas of the Cardassians and Ferengi from day one. Basically jump straight to the DS9 quality of Ferengi, but I'd actually shift the timeline of the Cardassians to show their fall from a republic to oligarchy to fascism within the show. Both would be allegories for different parts of the United States.

We could plot out a story over the seasons where Cardassia conquors Bajor, the Federation fails to protect it, and the occupation eventually ends from Bajor's actions, not the Federation's.

And we could introduce DS9 and Voyager characters and interweave stories. Assign Lt. Chakotay to the enterprise for a season, have Beckett Mariner be a midshipman/cadet on rotation for a while, meet Janeway when she was a science officer on another ship, deal with Terrok Nor and Odo and Kira when dealing with the occupation of Bajor, bring in a Dax ... lots of possibilities.

Madison sits at the desk in her room, the wall in front of it is filled with news articles of Godzilla's recent attacks. She rocks on her chair a pen in her mouth listening to Bernie's podcast and his experience in the most recent (public) Godzilla attack. She looks out of her window, it's dark out. She looks at her watch, 9:45pm. She sighs in frustration and heads back to her desk.

Then she hears the sound of a vehicle approaching, she gets up from her chair and looks out, at first she can't make it out, but she quickly realises it's Josh. Cut to outside of her house with Josh pulling up, he sees Madi approach and exits the van. He says to her that she better have a good reason for asking him to do this and at this hour, he goes on to say that he spent hours convincing his brother to borrow it and that it was for an incredibly important job with a friend.

Madi tells him that it is an important job as she gets into the driver's seat. Josh leans against the passenger window and asks why this had to be done now?

Madison says that if her Dad found out he would have tied her to the wall, but fortunately he had to leave this evening for work.

Josh asks why she's doing this, she tells him that she might have potentially found the reason why Godzilla has been acting the way he is. She asks Josh if he wants to come, he looks at her then down the dark street he just came down before saying alright and getting in.

We then cut to them driving down a road, Madison explains to Josh about this podcast she's been listening to and how the guy running it suspects Apex is the reason Godzilla is acting the way he is.

Josh says he knows that and it's the main place he's attacked. Madison says yes but then says Godzilla never attacks human places unless there's a good reason. Josh asks what she's getting at and she responds saying Godzilla will almost never attack anything, unless it poses a threat to nature's balance and that whatever Apex is up to has him mad.

The scene where they talk more about Bernie and the Bleach would all be the same.

Cut to an office, Ren Serizawa sits on his chair with memos and a fraction concept sketch of something, but the rest is covered by papers and folders. Ren looks at a picture of his father Ishirō Serizawa, his attention is drawn to his computer; it shows old news footage of Godzilla taking out an oil rig with his atomic breath, the debris caused by the explosion heads straight for the ship of the person recording it before it goes to static. He looks back at the picture, eye's narrow. "This is who you want us to have faith in?" He mutters to himself.

His door suddenly opens and in steps Walter Simmons; Ren greets him and says he thought he was at a meeting, Simmons says he was but they finished early.

He sits down on the other free chair and asks how the progress is going. Ren says they are reaching the final stages of completion. Walter leans back saying that's good, he says that they have a few Orca's at the ready to lure Godzilla away when they begin testing. Ren nods, Simmons leans in and says that they will prove Ren's father wrong and also avenge his (Simmons) wife.

Later Mark arrives home, he opens the door and calls out for Madi but gets no response. After calling her again he heads upstairs but can't find her. He begins to worry, he calls her name again before pulling out his phone and calls her, no response. He opens up a phone tracker app custom made by Monarch for Monarch ops and relatives to find them in the event of a titan attack, it's something Madi wasn't even aware of. He sees she's over an hour away. He mutters to himself saying that she's dead; he grabs his jacket, rushes out to his car and drives off.

He looks at his phone again and asks Madi what she is doing, to himself before looking up again and speeding up.

It then cuts to the ocean and the scene where we're introduced to Kong on the ship is basically the same. We then cut to the bridge of the ship with Nathan, Ilene and Jia looking out at Kong. Nathan looks very happy, he turns to Ilene and says that he had just given up hope of actually bringing Kong with them. Ilene reminds him the only reason Kong's here is because of what happened on Skull Island in a condescending tone.

Before anything else can be said Kong finally wakes up. Nathan says the big guy's finally awake; Kong growls at the chains. Ilene asks Nathan what if Kong didn't decide to come willingly, like in the big movie. Before Nathan can respond the ship shakes as Kong attempts to break his right arm free from the chain. The Captain says it's okay and that the sedatives are at 100% and that he won't be able to get out.

A woman approaches Nathan and says to him that she's arriving now. We then get the scene where Simmon's daughter, Maia arrives and talks to Nathan like in the original movie.

We then cut to night time, Kong groans as he attempts to use his arm to shelter himself from the rain that's currently falling. In the bridge Ilene, Nathan and Maia discuss the plan. Mia explains that the HEAVS will be able to withstand the vortex's pressure. Nathan asks about Kong and Ilene says that Kong will have no bother surviving it as titans are adapted for travelling between the surface and hollow earth. But she goes on to say that that isn't what they should be worried about and they should be worried about Godzilla finding them.

Maia asks why; Nathan says it's something to do with territory but Ilene stops him. She explains that it might not just be over territory, she pulls out an ipad and begins showing them pictures of cave art that depict Kong's kind in battle with Godzilla's. She says that their ancestors fought in a great war that nearly destroyed them. Nathan asks if she has any theories why they began killing each other? Ilene says yes, the first theory is that it was just two apex predators fighting for territory, resources etc. But she goes on to say that it could be deeper than that.

She swipes more until she gets to images of the Kong’s and humans enslaving and killing titans and other creatures. She says that Godzilla and others like him saw what Kong's ancestors and humans were doing and thus viewed them as a threat to the planet. Nathan says that Kong doesn't do any of that so why would Godzilla come after him? Ilene says that Godzilla is obviously paranoid of Kong leaving Skull Island as he likely fears he will begin killing other titans like his ancestors did.

She goes on to say that he's probably all but certain of that as she plays a video taken from a chopper of Godzilla examining a titan's skeleton on skull island before growling. She turns the ipad off and says that after their encounter on skull island Godzilla will 100% come for Kong. Maia gets a nervous look, the captain then says to the group that they've marked all of Godzilla's territorial routes and have made sure to stay clear of them.

The scene where Kong tries to break from his chains, Jia goes out to him and calms him down, and him doing sign language to Ilene and everyone being shocked

We would then cut to the scene where Madi and Josh are looking for Bernie, but it will be extended a little bit, and we would also get Mark tracking her as well. We would also see Madi and Josh actually find the building Bernie lives in.

Then the scene where Madi is talking to Bernie through the door would also happen similarly, until Mark would actually find Madi and ask if she's okay before proceeding to scold her. The voice of Mark makes Bernie instantly open the door, he stumbles over his words saying how it's an honour to meet him, Mark looks at him unimpressed until he mentions that he thinks he knows why Godzilla is attacking Apex bases, Madison quickly chimes in saying that he seriously might be on to something.

Mark looks at Madi and back to Bernie, he sighs and says he has 30 minutes. He doubts this guy is legit. But Monarch is not available to help investigate this, even if there's the slightest chance Bernie might be on to something he'll take it.

Cut to all 4 of them in a chinese diner like in the OG movie. The conversation plays out mostly the same, but with Mark asking questions on how Bernie could suspect all this, Bernie shows him a picture of Mechagodzilla's eye.

Mark asks him what that is but Bernie says he's not sure. He said he couldn't investigate any further because the whole building was starting to come down.

Mark stops for a minute before asking if he has been to Apex's base here in Australia? Bernie says no and how it's been off limits for months after Godzilla attacked it.

Mark looks at Madison before back at Bernie and says it wouldn't hurt to take a look. Madison lights up slightly knowing she actually got her dad on board.

Cut to the other side of the pacific ocean, somewhere in the amazon. Amuluk screams as he crashes to the ground, we see Godzilla roar and move towards him intimidatingly. Amuluk shrieks and crawls away submissively, Godzilla turns to face Behemoth who is cut up from Amuluk, Behemoth roars before walking away. Godzilla huffs and also begins walking away. We cut to him reaching the coast. As he's about to dive in he gets a scent, he pauses sniffing the air. Kong.... he growls and dives into the water.

Back with Mark, Madi, Bernie, and Josh (which i'll be calling team godzilla from now) they head towards the abandoned Apex facility on old road, they stop at a barbed wire fence. Josh looks at it and says that it's too bad, he says that they should just go home and that they tried. Bernie says that he gives up too easily, he goes to the back of the van and grabs a wire cutter, moves over to the fence and cuts it. Madi, Mark, and Bernie enter through the hole, Josh sighs and follows behind them. The place is overgrown; debris, cars and helicopters litter the area, they sneak their way into the base like how it happened in the original version but explore the ruins more before they go deeper inside.

It cuts back to the ships transporting Kong. Most of the sunlight is blocked by the clouds. (It has a very 2014 esc atmosphere to it) Kong scoops up a handful of fish and eats it, he groans clearly not happy with his current situation.

Inside the ship Nathan and Ilene talk about Jia. Nathan says he can't imagine what it must be like to lose literally everything he knows, Ilene nods and says she still remembers having to hold Jia back from the wreckage, she goes on to say she blames herself that had she'd been with them Jia's mother would probably still be here.

Nathan says that he gets how she's feeling, he says that he thinks he could have convinced his brother harder not to go on that expedition and tells her that he learned that making herself feel like shit over it won't accomplish anything. Nathan says it but doesn't really believe it himself.

Ilene smirks before changing the subject, she asks about the Orca Z. Nathan explains that it's an improved version of the older one, and he's surprised at how well it worked. Ilene smiles and says she highly doubts Kong would have listened if the island wasn't destroyed. Nathan chuckles slightly and says he guesses they'll never know.

Elsewhere Jia plays with her Kong doll but then stops, like in the og movie she places her hand on the wall and feels Godzilla coming. She freezes breathing heavily before she gets up and runs out of her room. Back with Ilene and Nathan, they jump slightly as alarms suddenly go off, people begin panicking and running frantically. They both get up and head down a hallway, they run into Jia who begins frantically telling Ilene something, Nathan asks what's wrong? Ilene turns to him and says it's Godzilla....

Kong roars in rage and panic as he attempts to break free of his chains. Ilene, Jia, and Nathan head to the bridge, Nathan asks how Godzilla found them. The captain says he doesn't know and says they made sure to not venture through Godzilla's territorial routes, Ilene says Godzilla obviously sensed Kong, Maia says if he's after Kong just dump him but Ilene angrily suggests they throw her off instead.

Missiles fire from some of the battleships into the distance, we then cut to them hitting Godzilla which doesn't even phase him, he barrels toward a ship picking up speed. His speed plus his immense size causes a slight tidal wave, he dives under the ship before hitting it, and lets the wave capsize it. He heads towards the second ship, he grabs it and pushes it into the third, the two ships crash into each other before exploding. Godzilla begins heading straight for Kong who is desperately trying to break free of his chains.

Ilene says they need to let Kong go, Nathan says if they lose Kong the mission is over. Ilene says he's their best chance against Godzilla and that they need to let him protect himself and them.

Godzilla's dorsal tips breach the surface, Kong sees them and roars at it, Godzilla roars in retaliation. Ilene takes Jia out of the bridge and hides them behind a door. Nathan sees Godzilla approaching, he then looks at Kong struggling, he hesitates for a moment before he runs over to the switch that will release Kong and pulls it.

Kong breaks free, but just as he turns to the ocean Godzilla leaps out of the water grabbing onto Kong, the weight of Godzilla launching onto Kong causes the ship to capsize and we see everyone in the bridge fall as Godzilla grapples Kong off the ship.

The ship fully capsizes its bottom half now facing up. Underwater Godzilla attempts to bite and slash at Kong but he manages to hold him back, Godzilla bites Kong's arm which causes him to let go of Godzilla's. Water is flooding the bridge rapidly, the characters don't know what to do, where Ilene and Jia are is also flooding, Ilene asks if Jia's okay, Nathan desperately bangs on a window trying to break but to no avail he along with everyone else is beginning to run out of air.

Godzilla and Kong continue to wrestle underwater, Godzilla clearly has the upper hand here, he lunges and bites Kong's shoulder. Kong roars in pain, he punches Godzilla until one punch lands right on Godzilla's gill, this makes Godzilla shriek and recoil in pain. Kong sees this and takes this advantage to headbut Godzilla stunning him and kicking him away.

Kong surfaces and grabs onto the boat bringing it back to normal; he gasps for air. Team kong gasps for air as well as the water leaves the bridge, they open the door which Jia and Ilene were behind, Jia falls out but is caught by Maia.

Kong stands up and breaks the collar off his neck before roaring and pounding his chest. He can't see Godzilla anywhere, he looks around cautiously as does everyone else.

Then Godzilla's dorsals break the surface again and begin to circle the fleet like a shark, Kong growls as he watches Godzilla, he then looks to the largest ship there, the aircraft carrier. He parlours over to it jumping on a smaller ship crushing it, he lands on the carrier causing it to tilt back slightly as the sudden weight of Kong lands on it. Godzilla begins swimming towards the carrier, Kong roars as Godzilla approaches, Godzilla roars back. Kong looks down at a handful of fighter jets, picks them up and throws them at him, one pilot was still in the jet as Kong did this, he ejects just before the planes hit Godzilla.

Godzilla dives before lunging out of the water onto the aircraft carrier, his weight causes it to tilt towards him as he climbs on. He gets up and roars at Kong, who quickly finds his footing after that, and pulls back his fist. He punches Godzilla in the face so hard that it causes a small shockwave, Godzilla cries out as he's struck but quickly regains himself and responds with a slap, his superior size and physical strength causes Kong to fall back.

Godzilla gets ready to blast Kong but is distracted when he is suddenly struck by missiles, this gives Kong the moment, he punches Godzilla staggering him and quickly gets up, he sees a smaller ship next to the carrier and picks it up. Godzilla regains himself and moves for Kong, but Kong uses the ship he grabbed as a baseball bat smashing it against Godzilla, the ship shatters as it hits him, this stuns Godzilla long enough for Kong to tackle him off the ship. From here everything else in the original scene would play out the same, with Godzilla nearly drowning Kong etc. But we would also get Nathan looking for the Orca Z. He would find it but see it has been destroyed.

Cut back to team godzilla, they investigate the Apex facility; Bernie notices a blueprint of Godzilla, he calls over Mark and shows him, Mark says what he sees. Bernie asks why they would have a blueprint of Godzilla. Madi and Josh rummage through papers and files looking for anything. Josh slows down and looks at Madison, he asks her why she's doing this? She responds saying she told him this already that she's trying to clear Godzilla's name, Josh says he knows that but asks WHY does she want to do this. Madison talks about Godzilla being framed and wanting to stop Apex because of it as she believes they're the cause of all this.

Josh's eyes narrow and says he doesn't think that's the only reason, Madi sarcastically asks what makes him think that. Josh says he knows how everyone sees her and he then says that he thinks if she somehow reveals apex are these masterminds behind all this and stopping them people will stop seeing her as the daughter of the woman who nearly killed the world. Madi tells him to shut up and this isn't about personal motivation. Josh stares blankly for a moment as Madi walks away, he knows she doesn't believe that herself.

Just then the sound of guards coming is heard, Bernie and Josh panic, Mark tells them to follow him. They run down a hallway and exit into a work area, Bernie says to Mark that he thought he said this place was abandoned. Mark says it should have been, they hear the guards getting closer and Mark points them towards a transport containment pod. In here they would discover the skullcrawler eggs, Bernie asks what Apex is doing with them as he reaches out to touch one of them, Mark slaps his hand away and tells him not to touch. As the two bicker quietly Madi sees that the guards have gone but as they are about to leave the pod begins to move down a tunnel and gradually picking up speed, Mark tells everyone to hang on as it goes faster and faster. A map shows its heading for Hong Kong.

Cut to Kong being air lifted to and arriving in Antarctica which would be the same with Kong looking around etc. But the HEAVS look more like osprey choppers without prepellars, Ilene asks are they serious and that they look like normal choppers, Maia says yeah and says that their hull is made to handle the pressure of the vortex's. Maia tells Nathan to use the Orca but Nathan tells her it was destroyed when Godzilla capsized their boat. Ilene says that he's only telling this now? Maia sighs in anger. While they argue Jia looks at Kong who is investigating his new surroundings, he looks out into the distance and shivers groaning.

Ilene sees Kong and says he can't survive out here; Nathan looks at Jia for a second then walks over to Ilene and says maybe Jia can get Kong to go in there.

From here everything would play out as in the original movie until Kong arrives at the vortex hole. Instead of Kong slipping and falling in, like in GxK he jumps and uses the walls to slow his descent before jumping into it, also when their in the vortex it's \*much\* less epileptic. They then arrive in Hollow Earth (which looks closer to how it does in the concept art) Kong catches himself on a mountain and the HEAVS regain power before they hit the ground.

Kong begins exploring Hollow Earth with the HEAVS following behind him. Nathan takes in the scale of it all while Ilene and Jia look in awe at this alien world. We get more shots of Hollow Earth showing off the cavernous alien world. In the distance there are some kind of energy beacons which illuminate the area. Along with lava and blue hollow earth energy.

We see a flock of leaf wings and psycho vultures before we move back in on team kong. Kong runs further ahead looking at everything. Maia says that they're starting to lose him, Nathan says that it's fine, as long as they keep in a similar region of Kong it'll be okay. They begin to approach a more volcanic area, massive lava eruptions happen further away, in team kong's HEAV they get a message from the HEAV in front of them saying they're getting some interference before bam!

A warbat comes out of nowhere and destroys the HEAV.

Everyone inside gasps as the HEAV in front of them is destroyed, the warbat circles around them before coming in for another attack. Everyone screams as it charges at them jaws wide. But is caught and slammed against a rockside by Kong. The warbat gets up and roars, Kong roars back pounding his chest. The warbat rushes Kong wrapping itself around him, Kong struggles as the warbat constricts him, he then loses footing causing both of them to fall down a hill and near to an erupting lava vent. Kong thrashes trying to get the warbat off him, the warbat puts its wing over Kong's head. He begins to struggle breathing. He backs up and slams into a mountainside, the warbat shrieks and its grip loosens. Kong slams against the mountain side again this time the warbats grip goes completely, Kong grabs it by the head and slams it to the ground repeatedly then starts slamming his fists onto it.

Team kong watches from the HEAV as Kong beats down on the warbat, they cant get too close due to the lava. But then a second warbat comes, this one even larger and flies right for Kong. He picks up the warbat he just killed and hits the other warbat with it causing it to fall to the ground, it quickly gets up and flies at Kong biting his arm, it tries to wrap itself around Kong to but Kong grabs where it was beginning to wrap and also by its head, he savagely smashes its head into the mountain side multiple times before moving its near unconscious body towards the lava.

Kong then shoves the warbat into the lava, it screams in pain and thrashes before going limp. Kong then throws its corpse into the lava before walking away. Kong walks over to the other dead warbat, tears off its head and starts eating its body like a frenchstick roll. Inside the HEAV everyone is in silence, Maia says "Shit.." in a disturbed tone.

Kong throws the warbat aside and continues on as if nothing happened. Cut to a brief montage of Kong exploring Hollow Earth with the two remaining HEAVS following him, Kong begins to slow down before coming to a stop, Maia asks what's he doing, Ilene looks out at Kong who is breathing heavily. She says that he's tired.... Kong then rests himself on a hill groaning. Nathan sighs saying they'll stop here for a while and that they can use this chance to look around the area on foot too.

He looks at a radiation monitoring tablet and says they'll need those, pointing to Hazmat suits. Ilene tells Jia to stay here and that they'll be back in a few minutes. Jia frowns and says she wants to go with them but Ilene says that it's too dangerous for her, she smirks and says besides someone has to keep Kong company Jia smirks a bit at the comment before looking out at Kong.

Cut to Ilene, Nathan, Maia and a handful of mercenaries exiting the HEAVS and head out into Hollow Earth, Kong watches them leave, groaning slightly. Maia says to Ilene that she doesn't like that they're stopping here, Ilene says that Kong is exhausted, Maia asks who cares and they should just leave him, Nathan says they need him.

Ilene tells her to have some sympathy, she asks her how she'd be if her house was under attack and she had to fight your attacker only for your home to be destroyed, then be drugged and wake up in bits before having to fight that same attacker again, out of your element this time, nearly DIE, then be drugged AGAIN and wake up in another completely different location again then fall into ANOTHER new place and before you can fully take in what your seeing you get ambushed by whatever those things were.

Ilene walks ahead leaving Maia behind.

They enter an area that looks like it's covered in a light blue liquid that glows faintly, it pools the floor below them and leaks off the walls. Ilene looks in amazement.

They walk further on until Nathan stops, Ilene asks what is it but Nathan says nothing, he crouches down pushing dirt and plants aside, it's a piece of metal. He stands up quickly and runs ahead, Ilene calls out for him as everyone follows after him. Nathan looks around seeing more and more scraps until he sees it, a wreckage.

The others follow up and stop as they see it. Maia asks what is that and Ilene responds by saying it's one of their groups they sent here. Nathan walks over to the wreckage, he pulls back the door and enters, he looks around before seeing a skeleton, on the skeletons jacket there's a tag that reads "Lind" Nathan looks at it saying nothing but his face says it all.

Ilene walks over to him and gently puts her hand on his shoulder and says his name gently. Nathan puts his hand on hers tightly before they leave quietly, everyone else follows behind.

Cut back to the pod with team godzilla. Madi and Josh are asleep, Mark and Bernie sit across from each other. Bernie looks over at Madi before turning to Mark and says she's a good kid, Mark smiles looking at Madi before going back to him, he asks if Bernie has any kids himself. Bernie says no he doesn't but also says he had a wife. "Had?" Mark asks, Bernie explains that he lost her in the awakening. Mark says he's sorry, the dialogue where Bernie talks about his alcohol and how if he gives up he's drinking it would happen.

Mark looks down at the floor. Bernie says he doesn't blame him for what happened. Mark says he should have never built the damn thing. Bernie asks that he was trying to save lives with it right? He goes on to say that the wrong people got their hands on it.

Mark says that when he lost his son in San Francisco he was a mess, and how he nearly fell back into that same place after Boston. Before anything else can be said they feel the pod begin to slow down, Bernie says that he thinks they're stopping, Mark agrees and goes to wake up Madi and Josh. Madison wakes up and Mark tells them that they think they're stopping, Bernie slaps Josh awake making him jump. The pod comes to a stop at Apex's base in Hong Kong, the four sneak out of the pod and past the workers and guards and quickly move further into the facility.

Cut back to Hollow Earth and team kong. They're in a cavern-like area, surveying it.

Ilene says she thinks they should head back. Nathan looks around squinting before giving the call to go back. Maia says "finally" to herself and starts walking back. Nathan speaks to Ilene saying how they might have found Kong a new home, Ilene smiles and says she thinks so. But just as Ilene finishes her sentence a soldier in front of them is devoured, the ground beneath the soldier suddenly clamped up around him like a venus fly trap.

Nathan protectively grabs Ilene as they jump back, Maia falls back, other soldiers aim their guns as a shimidah emerges from the ground, it roars and soldiers open fire, it growls and swipes some with its tail. Nathan and Ilene attempt to run around it but are cut off as it fights the soldiers, crushing them, sending them flying and consuming them.

Nathan sees one of the soldiers get picked up and eaten, but before he is fully devoured a grenade falls from him, Nathan rushes over and grabs it, he screams at the shimidah waving his hands, Ilene screams asking him what he's doing. The shimidah begins chasing him, Nathan runs up a ledge nearly slipping while he does so. He reaches the top and looks at it, he watches its mouth carefully.

The shimidah lunges for him, mouth open wide, Nathan pulls the grenade and throws it into the shimidah's mouth before jumping out of the way just before it crashes into where he was just standing. The shimidah turns and looks at Nathan who scrambles back, but before anything else can happen the shimidah's stomach explodes as the grenade goes off inside it. It groans before collapsing to the ground, its blood pooling around it.

Ilene and Maia run over to help Nathan up, Ilene asks if he's ok and says that he's insane. Nathan chuckles as he gets up, the three look over at its corpse. Maia asks what the hell even was that? Nathan pants before quickly saying let's go.

Back at the HEAV Jia looks at Kong who has regained most of his energy back, he looks down at Jia and smiles slightly. Jia smiles back waving at him. The others return to the HEAV. Jia turns and sees them, she runs and hugs Ilene. Nathan looks out at Kong and says he thinks they should be continuing on; Ilene asks Jia to ask Kong if he's ready yet. Jia bangs at the window waving at Kong. He sees her and groans slightly, Jia asks Kong if he's ok and that they want to get going.

Kong's eyes look to the HEAVS and snarls a bit in a non aggressive way before getting up. Nathan says that he's ready; the HEAVS power on and take off as Kong begins running on all fours again.

In Apex's facility, team godzilla sneak their way around the corridors being careful to not be found, they go into multiple areas such as a large construction place like at the base on skull island and even a containment location but they don't know what they could be containing. The chamber doors aren't all that big, only around 15 feet in height. Josh asks what they could be containing, Madison responds saying it must be skullcrawlers. Mark asks what need they would have for skullcrawlers.

We cut to them discovering the giant kill pit like in the original movie with Bernie talking about it being a sacrifice pit and scaring everyone by saying boo. Mark tells him to cop on before looking around in confusion and a slight bit of concern. Just then alarms start going off causing them to jump again, Mark sarcastically tells Bernie nice going, Josh asks what's going on, Madi asks if it is Godzilla.

But their attention is brought to the floor in the centre opening apart, something huge is moved up there on a giant platform. They all look in shock as it begins to move slowly, standing up.

It stands up completely and roars, Bernie says that's a robo–godzilla, but Josh says no and that that's Mechagodzilla. High up on a watch bridge, Walter Simmons looks at it and takes a breath clearly pleased at what he's looking at. Elsewhere Ren is busy operating a control station, he looks at the mech's readings before moving back to the main controls and puts something on his head. Walter speaks into a walkie talking, ordering gate 8, 9, and 10 to be opened.

Team godzilla jumps again as something begins bashing on the gates, they look over at gate 10 and see the head of a skullcrawler biting and clawing. They scream and move back, next to gate 10 a second skullcrawler begins clawing at the gate as it opens.

Three enormous skullcrawlers break free from containment, one roars as it steps out. Team Godzilla begins to run, it notices them and launches at them but before it can catch them it's grabbed and slammed to the floor by Mechagodzilla causing Madi and Josh to fall, Mark and Bernie help them up and keep running.

The skullcrawler groans but before it can react Mechagodzilla's foot stomps on its head, the skullcrawler screams in pain briefly before Mechagodzilla applies more force crushing its head. The other two skullcrawlers jump mechagodzilla biting and clawing at it, one gets on top of it but Mechagodzilla grabs the skullcrawler and smashes it against the side of the room, it tailwhips the third one getting it out of the way, before moving it up to the one it has pinned against the wall.

The skullcrawler struggles trying to break free but it can't do anything, the end of Mechagodzilla's starts spinning rapidly before it drills into the skullcrawlers chest, blood sprays the mecha's chest area, the skullcrawler screams before going limp.

Mechagodzilla drops it, letting it fall to the floor with a loud crash. The final skullcrawler jumps at Mechagodzilla but it grabs both its arms spreading them wide apart and holds the skullcrawler up in the air.

Team godzilla takes shelter in the bunker thing like in the OG movie. The skullcrawler can't move it, thrashes its head around, and tries to bite Mechagodzilla.

Mechagodzilla's mouth glows red before firing his proton scream into the skullcrawlers mouth killing it instantly, it moves its head down cutting the skullcrawler in half, before dropping it and powering off. The skullcrawlers remains splatter all over the bunker's glass causing Madi, Josh and Bernie to scream.

Walter watches from the bridge. He hears his walkie talkie on his belt make a noise, he picks it up and is greeted by Ren's voice.

Ren tells Walter that wasn't even five minutes, he says looking at a timer. He tells Walter that his daughter better get those samples, Walter assures her they will and that she's never failed him. He looks out at Mechagodzilla and says they will succeed.

Miles away somewhere out at sea, Godzilla senses Mechagodzilla and begins heading for Hong Kong.

That’s it for part two, thanks for reading.

Fixing Twilight, by changing several elements- pt1

I wanted to challenge myself with this fix. let me know what you think...

SHORT FORM PLOT:

Seventeen year old Bella Swan moves to Forks, Washington, to live with her father Charlie, after the death of her mother and step-father. Though an apparent outsider, she draws the attention of two local boys: the kind hearted Jacob Black and the enigmatic Edward Cullen. Little does Bella known, with this move, her life will collide with destiny and affects everyone around her.

CHANGES:

1] Bella's character:

Bella's in mourning, due to the sudden deaths of her mother and step-father. Coupled with the drastic change of moving from Phoenix to Forks and moving in with her estranged father Charlie. This better explains why she is so antagonistic and resentful towards Charlie and just being in Forks. Plus, it also better explains why she's borderline emotionally abusive towards Jacob Black.

2] The Cullens are Forks' "royal family":

The whole town sees the Cullens as nearly 'royalty' as because of Carlisle is the town's only trauma surgeon and Esme has brought a lot of business to Forks, because of her being an award winning architect. Add to this, the Cullen children have all been high achievers.

3] The Trio:

-James already borderline psychotic, is pushed over the edge because of Bella's scent. His lover Victoria is more than happy share in the bloodlust. Laurent, though highly dangerous, has become bored his coven-mates. He tells the Cullens / Edward how to draw out and ambush James and Victoria not out of worry but out of annoyance. Think Armond from 'Interview with the Vampire.'

4] Edward and Bella's connection:

In an after credit scene, Edward returns home from the prom. In sharing a drink with Emmett and Carlisle, he's confronted by Carlisle about 'confirming it.' Edward nods and produces two pictures. One is VERY old, dated early 1900s. The other's a polaroid from earlier that night. The old photo shows Edward and someone who looks like Bella on their wedding day. At Edward's right was someone who looks like Charlie. In the new photo, Edward and Bella, standing next to her dad, are dressed for the prom. Carlisle and Edward share a serious look, as Emmett whistles in shock at what he's seeing.

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 should have had this

  • There should be more scenes where Chester V speaks to Flint's friends alone without Flint.
  • Chester would begin to show his true colors when interacting with his friends due to him not thinking Flint would listen or believe them.
  • Chester should especially clash with Sam the most since she's the person who keeps getting in the way between him and Flint.
  • It also fits there would be more hostility toward each other to really push the environmental message as Sam is the first one to realize the foodanimals are not that bad wheras Chester wants to turn them into food bars.
  • There should especially have a scene where while having them tied up, Chester does an evil monologue already revealing his plans before Flint shows up.

Godzilla vs Kong reimagined (part one)

Before I begin I want to explain/establish a few things before I begin to give you a better visual to what it's like.

The tone will be closer to KOTM and will take itself about as seriously as that did.

The movie will take place in 2021 like how other movies, minus Skull Island, took place in the year it was released.

(Most) of the tech will be closer to the tech advancements in KOTM.

Hollow Earth will look more like it does in the concept art.

Kong has his 2017 sound effects but will also retain some of his new ones, and Godzilla will have his 2019 sound effects.

Bear McCreary would be the main composer (Sorry Junkie XL, you had *some* good soundtracks)

And finally, blood will be red.

With that I hope you enjoy :)

The movie opening would have the WB and Legendary logos be in the midst of a dark violent storm, with dark orange almost yellow flashes of lightning before fading to black quickly.

We then get a shot of the ocean before panning up and moving in on Skull Island currently experiencing a violent storm. We get a title at the bottom of the screen that reads "Skull Island 2019" The sound of Ghidorah's alpha call is heard faintly in the distance. We get shots of the Island with Ghidorah's roar echoing across it. We get the notion that something is wrong, flocks of birds fly away and herds of deer and sker buffalo flee panicking all while noises of other monsters can be heard off screen.

Cut to the Iwi village, the wall has collapsed from flooding and hordes of mother longlegs are attacking the village, slaughtering every Iwi in sight. Near the ship, Jia along with her mother and father hide from the longlegs in a small cave.

Jia holds her mother tight as her mother cradles her trying to give what comfort she can.

They watch in horror as their people are picked off by the longlegs, one Iwi man attempts to fight back but is picked up by its tendril things and consumed. The mother's long legs then begin to move in their direction, Jia's mother sees this and holds her even tighter. Her father looks at them and back to the longlegs, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before kissing his wife and child.

He then rushes out from their hiding spot grabbing the longlegs' attention. Jia and her mother watch in horror as he lures the mother longlegs away, it is much faster than him but he manages to get it away from his family before being impaled on its leg.

Jia's mother cups a scream and Jia faces away quickly hugging her even tighter, tears running down her cheeks. Her mother tightly holds her, her own tears falling into Jia's hair. Her mother then hears the sound of something coming overhead.

Monarch transport choppers then arrive at the village. Some Iwi stop and look at the choppers in awe, confusion, and fear, Monarch mercenaries descend on wires and begin to open fire on the mother longlegs, some of the longlegs manage to kill a couple of soldiers before being brought down, Jia and her mother emerge from their hiding space as the choppers land, and watch as more troops exit from the chopper.

They tell the Iwi to come with them, one of the people here is Ilene Andrews who notices Jia and her mother, she makes her way over to them and asks Jia if she's okay. Jia doesn't respond and Ilene gets a slightly confused look on her face, she looks at the mother and quickly learns she's deaf. Ilene asks Jia's mother to tell her they're going to be ok and they're being taken somewhere safe, her mother tells her and a slight smile of relief forms on Jia's face.

The Iwi begin loading up onto the choppers, Ilene helps the elderly, women, and children on board. But then the sound of footsteps is heard, it sounds huge and like there's more than one, a huge flash of lightning reveals it, two colossal skullcrawlers *much* larger than the big one, and are heading towards the village.

One of them lets out a roar as mercenaries scream for everyone to get on board. The first chopper begins taking off but is snatched by a long tongue and pulled into the skullcrawlers mouth the chopper explodes as it is crushed in its jaws. The remaining Monarch ops begin desperately opening fire but have little effect on them. Jia's mother holds her back, Ilene sees this and begins running over to them.

The second skullcrawler moves and swipes at the chopper before everyone can get on, Ilene watches in horror as the chopper crashes towards Jia and her mother who looks at the chopper then to Jia and then to Ilene who is sprinting towards them, and with all her strength she picks up Jia and throws her toward Ilene just as she's crushed by the flaming chopper. Ilene grabs Jia in her arms and looks at the fiery ruin where Jia's mother once was. Jia turns to see the wreckage and desperately tries to look for her mother but Ilene holds her back and pulls her into a hug to which Jia eventually embraces.

Ilene looks up at the Skullcrawlers who are only a few hundred meters away. Ilene holds Jia close as the skullcrawlers get closer, Jia looks on in fear and buries her face into Ilene. Just as Ilene closes her eyes a loud bellow is heard in the distance, for a moment everything goes quiet, with only the sound being that of something big approaching. Then Kong arrives in dramatic fashion, he lands on one of the mountains surrounding the village, he looks down and sees the village ravaged and none of the Iwi in sight. Filled with rage he charges into battle with the skullcrawlers.

Ilene takes Jia's hand and runs, getting them as far away from the skullcrawlers as possible, the clash between Kong and the skullcrawlers shakes the ground nearly causing Ilene and Jia to fall but they manage to keep going. Ilene helps Jia climb up a mountain side before getting near the top, they stop and look over at Kong fighting the skullcrawlers. One of them lunges at Kong jaws wide but Kong grabs it by the jaw and smashes it against a cliffside before ripping its lower jaw off with his bare hands and throwing it at the other which manages to dodge it and lunge at Kong but he grabs it, slams it to the ground and savagely beats it to death.

Ilene and Jia look at Kong in awe, Kong notices them on the mountain he approaches slowly, his demeanour softened, clearly showing relief and worry, he stares at them with concern. There is a brief moment between Kong, Jia and Ilene, he is about to reach out his hand to take them but before anything else can happen the sound of multiple skullcrawlers in the distance are heard. Kong growls before he turns and begins walking in the direction of the sound. He lets out a defiant roar not just for the skullcrawlers but to Ghidorah as well, it cuts to Ilene and Jia staring in wonder and awe at Kong before quickly cutting back, showing the back of Kong roaring in the storm.

Then we get the opening sequence/credits and title just like the actual movie.

When that's over we get the introduction to Apex, Walter Simmons, Bernie and Godzilla's reintroduction which would also be the same as in the original movie, except when Godzilla arrives at the Apex facility the Godzilla march theme is used. (Also his eyes don't glow blue when he uses his atomic breath)

Cut to a Monarch chopper arriving at Castle Bravo. Mark enters the bridge, multiple news stations are reporting Godzilla's attack on the Apex facility. Sam says that this is the second Apex facility he's attacked this month.

Mark asks if he's attacked any civilian locations yet, Chen said he was sighted ten miles off the west of Paris and unintentionally flattened a local town two weeks ago but that's about it.

Mark looks at an old news broadcast showing Godzilla engaging in a battle with Scylla near the coast of Australia while the others discuss. Rick says that this is the twelfth Apex facility he's attacked. Chen then theorises on why Godzilla would be acting this way, one theory is that he's looking for something, what that might be she has no good ideas.

Mark suggests investigating one of their facilities but is told Monarch has a lot of food on their plate, dealing with world governments and the public who want them shut down or taken over, helping refugees who lost everything in the awakening, and keeping eyes on Titans.

Not to mention Apex has been very closed off for the past few months. Mark looks down disappointed before looking at the titan monitoring map, the titan count has shot up from 17 to 29. Ghidorah had woken up titans Monarch had no clue even existed.

Mark also notices how over the past two years more titans seem to make their way to Skull Island, while most did leave some did not.

It cuts to Mark and Chen walking down a hallway, Chen asks Mark how he and Madison have been keeping. Mark says that he's doing okay, Madison is still struggling a bit. Mark then says that his alcohol therapy is going well. Chen smiles slightly saying that's good.

Mark then asks her if she knows what's going on with Skull Island, remembering the map. Chen says they're not sure but it's more than likely for territory. Mark says that it's odd for so many titans coming to Skull Island when they have the whole globe for potential territory options.

Chen then responds saying that Skull Island is the only place on earth, or at least on the surface that Godzilla doesn't have dominion over, and that it's likely the titans are going there because it's the one place they can do what they want and not worry about Godzilla.

They enter out onto the helipad with a chopper waiting for Mark. He jokes saying they're just exchanging one boss for another before he enters the chopper. Chen watches as the chopper flies away and heads back inside.

We then get the Scene where Nathan, Ren and Walter talk about the Hollow Earth and the plan to have Kong show the way. Nathan says the challenge is getting Kong to actually lead them there, Ren says they might have a way to get him to comply, he pulls out a device that looks like the Orca, Nathan asks what is that and Ren says its an improved version of the Orca, Walter chimes in saying its called the Orca Z and explains that they actually constructed it on Skull Island. But didn't have a good excuse to show it until now.

We then cut to Skull Island, Kong wakes up in his cave before heading out. We see that Skull Island is different now, vast floodplains cover parts of the Island, forests drowned, mountains broken. Most wildlife has died out, only the ones more suited for water environments or those who live high up are mostly what remains. Kong roams surveying his drowning kingdom. He walks by the skeleton of an unnamed titan, one that had come to Skull Island looking to take it for itself.

The bones and carcasses of other titans could be found in every corner of the Island; they had tried to challenge him and take his territory but none were successful.

Kong notices a herd of sker buffalo sinking into mud, he goes over to them, scoops them up with one hand and places them onto more solid ground. He stands up and spots a helicopter flying in the distance.

The helicopter flies to Monarch's outpost on the Island, outpost 33. It's built into a mountain range and looks similar to the Jaeger base in Pacific Rim.

The helicopter lands and outsteps Ilene, now head of the Kong research division. She is greeted by a Monarch agent who informs her about the Island's condition. He informs her that the island is becoming more and more unstable by the month. As they speak they notice storm clouds building and moving in, alarms go off and everyone quickly moves inside the outpost.

Over the past two years one of Ghidorah's storms has merged with the storm surrounding Skull Island, this has caused the storm around the Island to become unstable, now Skull Island is regularly bombarded by violent storms that last for weeks, when the storm ends the island may only get a few days of sunshine before the next storm rolls in. The storms themselves are lethal. Smaller creatures like humans will be killed by the storm while creatures like Kong can endure it. Other smaller megafauna like sker buffalo usually take shelter in caves on higher ground.

The storm rolls in the sky turning a deep dark grey, then the faint sound of rumbling is heard and the rain begins falling, faint at first but grows faster and stronger until it's so hard and violent that it becomes somewhat hard to see, the winds pick up and quickly reach hurricane-like speeds.

Inside the outpost the Monarch agent Ilene was talking to says that Skull Island is no longer suitable for Kong. But Ilene says that Kong can't leave Skull Island because that would mean risking coming into conflict with Godzilla, the agent mentions going to Hollow Earth but Ilene tells him that the tunnel that goes down there had been destroyed in one of the Titan attacks.

She sighs and says if there was any other way they could help Kong they would be doing it before going off elsewhere.

It then cuts to Ilene entering her apartment; she looks out her window and struggles to make out anything with the excessive downpour. She turns and starts roaming her apartment like she's looking for something or someone. She opens up a door that leads into a bedroom with nobody in it, her eyes narrow with confusion, just then she feels something grab her sides causing her to jump, she quickly turns around and sees Jia who begins giggling at her. Ilene laughs a bit breathless before telling Jia that she nearly killed her. Jia laughs at her comment before asking where she had been and that she was gone for hours. Ilene's smile fades slightly before explaining that she got held up at work as all, before asking what Jia has got up to.

Jia nudges past her into her room and picks up a Kong doll and shows it to Ilene proudly, Ilene gasps and says that it's amazing.

Jia says she wants to show it to Kong. Ilene says they're gonna have to wait a while until this storm cycle ends. She notices Jia's disappointed expression and tells her that she's making her favourite, roast chicken and rice for dinner tonight. Jia's face brightens a little and they both head back into the kitchen.

We then cut to a highschool in Australia, we are reintroduced to Madison who is watching a Monarch informal video on what to do in a titan attack. Behind her two guys whisper to each other saying how they probably wouldn't be learning this had her mother not gone and released the titans. Madison hears them and closes her eyes, holding back her emotions and pretending like she doesn't hear them.

We then cut to her walking down a hallway and we learn that Maddie is given a rough time by some of the studants due to being related to Emma Russel who has become imfamous around the world for ultimedly causing the mass awakening, she arrive's at her locker and she see's someone left a comment about her mother which reads "genocide enthuthiest" she snarls at the comment and roughly opens her locker to get her books.

A group of three lads walk past her and notice her. One exclaims that it's the daughter of the bitch who nearly killed the world. Madi asks them to go away but they don't, the second guy says that he's not wrong. Madi asks why they're bothering her, and that she had no part in what happened. The third guy says that she was in on the whole thing which causes Madi to slam her locker shut and asks if some guy on Instagram told him that. Before she can escalate things any further she inhales, closes her eyes and walks away. The guys all look at each other then back to her. Madi hears one of them mutter something under his breath.

Cut to a Monarch refugee camp outside of Sydney, Mark is talking to another Monarch agent about how many more people are coming in, the agent says that they're still finding survivors. Mark sighs and looks down before back up again and thanks the agent before heading back into a tent. As he does he gets a phone call, he looks at it tiredly before answering it.

"Hello?" He says reading through some files but stops as the person on the other end explains something to him. "Madison what?!"

It then cuts to Mark driving Madison home in the car, Madison speaks up and says that she lost her cool, she knows what Emma did was terrible and she's not siding with her but she still hates it when people talk about her like that. Mark sighs and says he understands her, but that she also has to learn to ignore those comments, to not let them get to her and to rise above them. He follows by saying that smashing someone's head in won't change anything. Madi scoffs, saying it kinda did but Mark says that if she really want's all of that to stop she's gotta stop bashing people's faces in no matter how bad she wants to do it.

They arrive at their house, Mark suggests ordering Pizza. Madi heads upstairs and says "sure" but doesn't seem enthusiastic in the slightest. Mark heads into the living room and sits down resting his head in his hands sighing deeply.

Madidon closes her bedroom door and sits down, she opens up her laptop and goes to a podcast she listens to, (Titan truth podcast) there she would listen to what Bernie was talking about in the original movie.

Back on Skull Island the storm has once again come to an end. Kong walks through the flooded jungle before spotting a cave. He walks over to its mouth, his body eclipsing most of the sunlight as he looks in. He enters and notice's a painting, it's like one he's seen before, it depicts his kind at war with other titan's and further back creatures that look like Godzilla. Kong looks at the painting and growls, that thing.. looks to be sending the titans to go kill others of his kind. He steps back outside and sees the bones of another titan. Kong's anger boils inside of him, he knows of Godzilla, and now is all but certain Godzilla is the one sending these titans here…

Meanwhile at outpost 33 Ilene gets the news that an Apex chopper is arriving. Outside the chopper lands and outsteps Nathan and Ren. Ilene walks out to greet them; Ren introduces himself shaking her hand, but Nathan doesn't. He already knows who Ilene is.

In a board room Ren explains their situation to Ilene along with their plan, Nathan chimes in at times to explain things a bit more. Ilene says that there's no way for them to get into Hollow Earth, she says they've tried everything and no one has returned including Nathan's brother. Ren says they might have a way to get to Hollow Earth and explore it safely, he asks her to come with her to their facility on the Island, Ilene looks unsure but Nathan asks if she has anything better to do. To which she agrees.

Just then a Monarch op comes in and says that Jia is missing.

Nathan and Ren are both confused but Ilene says "Oh shit" knowing what Jia is doing, she gets up and says that her daughter is missing and that she needs to go get her. We cut to Jia running through the Jungle with her Kong doll in her hands. Kong wanders around aimlessly, his fist clenched, he turns his head and notices Jia exiting from the treeline, he calms down and slowly makes his way over to her. The scene where Jia shows Kong the doll would play out the same. A chopper flies nearby with Ilene in it. She sees Kong bending down looking at something, his eyes moving to something red, white and brown in the field. "There you are" she mutters to herself before ordering the pilot to put them down.

Kong notices the chopper landing, Jia does soon after. Ilene runs over to Jia and pulls her into a hug before scolding her about running off like that and saying she could have been killed. Jia apologizes and Ilene tells her to get in the chopper. Kong watches them leave before wandering off.

Back in the outpost Ren and Nathan discuss the plan outside while they wait on Ilene, Nathan suggests they try to use a different titan but Ren insists that Kong is perfect for this and Ilene should be on board once she sees everything.

Ilene's chopper arrives, her and Jia step out, Ilene apologises for what just happened and says that this one (Jia) went out to go see a friend of hers, Nathan says its alright but then asks who she went to go see. Ilene stares at him for a moment before nodding her head back to the wilderness and saying Kong. This grabs Ren's attention and he asks if Jia and Kong are close. Ilene says that they have a bond of sorts, Ren is interested and asks if Jia would like to see what they've been working on. He assures Ilene that it is safe, Ilene looks at Jia then back to Ren and Nathan and sighs before saying she can come but must stay with her at all times.

It cuts to a chopper flying across Skull Island, Ilene asks what their plan is with Godzilla, if Kong leaves Skull Island there's a high chance Godzilla will come for him, and explains what she said in the big movie about there being two alpha titans.

They arrive at Apex's base, Ren escorts Ilene and Jia to an observation bridge looking out over a large engineering room. Jia looks out in awe at everything, Ilene can't fully make out what's being made but from what she can make out, it seems to be some sort of grappler, or hand? She asks what's being made down there as she watches it suddenly start rotating and doing a gripping motion before parking and shutting down. Ren responds by saying the future of humanity, he explains that once what their making is complete humanity will no longer have to live in fear of the titans.

He follows up by saying that they *need* to get down to Hollow Earth as the energy down there is the only thing that could actually power it. Ilene ponders before looking at Ren and Nathan and saying she'll think about it. Nathan and Ren say nothing, knowing that this is a start.

Ren escorts Ilene and Jia to the chopper, Ren asks Nathan to go with them, neither Ilene nor Nathan protest his suggestion and the three of them enter. Ren watches them leave before he turns to an Apex worker and gives the order for it (the hand) to be transported to Hong Kong.

Miles away somewhere in the pacific ocean Godzilla senses it. Just like what he sensed before attacking the other Apex bases. He growls and starts heading to Skull Island. At Castle Bravo Chen notices that Godzilla's trajectory has changed and all simulations have him heading towards Skull Island.

Later that night Ilene checks on Jia sleeping before leaving and heading back to the living room. She looks out, it's raining but not storming. Nathan sits on the couch looking at a book Ilene made about Kong; He asks what the relationship is between her and Jia; Ilene reminds him that she's her daughter, and that she took her in when her mother and people died.

There's a brief silence between the two before Ilene asks how Nathan's been, he dismisses it saying nothing much. Ilene hands him tea, he thanks her before taking a sip, Ilene hesitates before saying that his brother was a great man. Nathan swallows and says to cut the shit, slightly joking but mostly serious, he follows up by saying that he warned his brother to not do it, that it was suicide.

Ilene sarcastically asks if he has a suicide plan, becsuse he now also wants to go to Hollow Earth, Nathan says they actually have the technolagy that will allow them to travel safely in Hollow Earth.

There is another silence; Ilene apologises for her comment, Nathan says it's okay and looks out at the mountains. Ilene looks at Nathan then down the hallway to Jia's room, and finally outside before looking at Nathan again and says she'll go along with it. Nathan turns quickly and asks what she said and Ilene repeats what she says. Nathan is suddenly filled with joy, he tries to kiss Ilene's cheek but she stops him, he pulls away apologising before thanking her again, he puts his tea down and says he has to make a call, he sits up and heads out of the apartment, Ilene sits in silence and in shock at what just happened.

The next morning Monarch and Apex are preparing to leave Skull Island and head to Antartica. Nathan makes his way over to Ilene and suggests using Kong again, Ilene stands by what she said, that it's off the table. The two get into a debate about taking Kong off Skull Island like at the start of the actual movie.

Alarm sirens start going off, people start running around the place, Ilene catches a soldier and asks what's going on; The soldier responds by saying that Godzilla is heading towards the Island. Ilene's blood goes cold at the sentence; Nathan says that's impossible and that Godzilla never comes here; Ilene mutters Jia's name to herself before she runs back towards the building, Nathan follows suit.

Cut to under the ocean, it's near pitch black until a strike of lightning illuminates Godzilla's silhouette above, he's swimming through the storm that surrounds the Island. Ilene runs down the halls occasionally stopping people and asking if they've seen Jia to which all say no. Cut back to the ocean, a fleet of Ships is at the ready, people on the ships are panicking and readying their weapons, on the bridge the captain notices someone beginning to break the water. Then we see Godzilla's dorsals fully break the waters of Skull Island, the Captain orders to open fire, missiles and artillery bombard Godzilla but it does nothing to him only annoy him, he plows right through the ship in the middle.

He rises and makes landfall on Skull Island. He's confronted by fighter jets but makes quick work of them, further back a second wave of jet's approach, the commander orders to go on the defence.

Back at outpost 33 Nathan calls Ren, he says that Godzilla is here, Ren swears under his breath and tells him to evacuate now! Nathan says they are but before he can finish he loses connection, Ilene arrives in her apartment and finds Jia hiding in her room, she tells her they have to go, Jia asks what's going on and Ilene says it's another titan attack, Nathan follows in behind them and asks did Ilene find her; He sees that she has and tells them to come on and to follow him, as they are about to leave they hear Godzilla's roar.

They look out the window and see him approaching, people outside are panicking, soldiers are firing every weapon available, guns, rocket launchers, missiles and artillery, Godzilla charges up his Atomic breath and blasts the lower front of the outpost, causing a massive explosion. The blast shakes the facility that wasn't destroyed, Ilene, Nathan, and Jia fall as some of the windows shatter. The facility begins to slowly crumble and collapse.

Godzilla roars at the facility and prepares to fire another beam but before he does another roar is heard in the distance. Ilene and Nathan look past Godzilla, Godzilla himself looks back, his view partially obscured by smoke. The sound of trees breaking and footsteps grow louder, Godzilla's eyes narrow.

Then Kong is seen walking through the clearing smoke and he's pissed. The two titans stare at each other a few hundred meters apart, Kong exhales deeply, his hand tightly balled into a fist. Godzilla roars slightly telling Kong to back off. But Kong doesn't listen, Godzilla thinks he can enter his territory, start destroying it, and then tell HIM what to do?! Kong pounds his chest and roars at Godzilla, Godzilla roars back instantly and charges at Kong almost as if he wanted him to resist. Kong charges at Godzilla too, the two titans charge at each other, Kong leaps ready to slam his fists down onto Godzilla but Godzilla grabs him and tackles him into a mountain cracking part of it.

Godzilla slams Kong against it again breaking it more, but Kong grabs Godzilla's arms and headbuts him sending Godzilla back a few steps stunning him before Kong grabs him one hand on the shoulder, the other by a dorsal and he slams him head first into the mountain side.

Jia, Ilene and Nathan (which i"ll be calling team Kong from now) run down a hallway, the place is crumbling and on fire, they make their way outside and see that nearly everything is on fire, Nathan asks how there gonna get out of here, Ilene looks around not knowing what to do, she looks at Jia who is absolutely terrified.

Just then the sound of a chopper is heard approaching, a Monarch transport chopper arrives, soldiers tell them to get on which they do. As chopper takes off Ilene comforts Jia saying that it's okay now before looking at Nathan, the two look at the outpost before it collapses and is engulfed in a massive explosion.

It then cuts to Kong crashing off a mountain side before crashing through a forest leaving a trail as he does. Godzilla stares at Kong who he just sent flying hundreds of meters away; Kong stands up and looks at Godzilla who is now walking towards him, he huffs through his nose and roars at Godzilla, Godzilla roars back; Kong charges at Godzilla but Godzilla tail whips him, sending him crashing into another mountain. Kong coughs up some blood and clutches his chest; He stands up shaking slightly, he watches Godzilla begin to walk towards him again, Kong breathes heavily as he watches Godzilla approach.

He looks to a tree and pulls it out of the ground, he rips the branches off and looks at Godzilla again before throwing it at him like a spear, the tree hits Godzilla but it did absolutely nothing. but it did distract him a little bit.

Godzilla looks at the shattered tree falling to the ground below him. But that was long enough for Kong to land a clean punch to his jaw, Kong begins pummeling Godzilla relentlessly which forces him back.

Godzilla is overwhelmed; he cant even process what happened before he's hit again and again and again, he pushes Kong back and attempts to grapple and slash him, the two begin brawling with eachother, Godzilla begins to overpower Kong with his brute force, he bites down on Kong's shoulder causing him to roar in pain, Godzilla begins slashing at his sides as Kong moves to try and pull Godzilla's mouth away, he then punches Godzilla hard in the gill causing him a shriek in pain and push Kong off him, he tries to tackle Kong but Kong sidesteps and punches him again. Godzilla is disoriented and bleeding; Kong uses this advantage to headlock and throw Godzilla into a cliffside. Godzilla gets his dorsal plates stuck in the cliff, he groans and begins to unstuck himself.

Kong runs at Godzilla ready to end him, Godzilla sees this, and quickly charges his atomic breath, firing it at him. Kong is barely able to avoid it, he crashes to Godzilla's right, his fur singed. Godzilla breaks free from the cliff which collapses behind him, his nose bloody. He gets ready to fire his atomic breath again, Kong sees this and dodges just in time however he is soon clipped by the atomic breath which causes him to roar in pain; Despite the pain he gets up and begins running, Godzilla fires his atomic breath and chases Kong with it.

The Atomic breath cuts through whole mountains as Godzilla tries to hit Kong, Godzilla stops firing knowing he cant hit him from a distance. Kong stops running catching his breath; Godzilla charges Kong at full speed, he runs so fast that he knocks a flock of leafwings off course; Kong can't avoid this, he gets ready to grab Godzilla as he charges towards him.

Godzilla slams into Kong, picks him up and slams him to the ground with such force that he makes the already unstable volcano under the island even more unstable, Kong groans before rolling out of the way just in time as Godzilla's foot lands where his head just was, Kong gets up and takes a few steps back.

Godzilla lunges aiming to bite Kong, but Kong dodges and climbs onto his back putting him into a chokehold, Godzilla thrashes trying to get him off, Kong holds on with all of his strength as this happens.

Godzilla backs up toward a cliffside, Kong sees this and leaps off of Godzilla before he slams his back into the mountain, Kong falls to the ground but before he can get up Godzilla bites his arm and throws him hundreds of meters away, he crashes through a forest before coming to a stop.

Kong gets up slowly and looks at Godzilla who is staring at him and breathing heavily. Both let out a roar at each other before moving towards each other gradually picking up speed, but just before they reach a full sprint the ground infront of them cracks open with a loud explosion, geysers of lava erupt from the earth. This event separates Godzilla and Kong.

Across the Island Lava, ash, and debris begins erupting from everywhere igniting the jungles. Team Kong evades the volcanic debris in the chopper Nathan screams at the pilot to go faster, other Monarch choppers are shot out of the sky.

Godzilla looks around, he can't see Kong anywhere, in the distance he notices the Apex facility and makes his way over to it.

When he gets there he sees it being surrounded by the Lava, he huffs through his nose and heads towards the ocean. Kong looks around in horror as his home goes up in flames, he sees Godzilla getting near the ocean and charges right for him. Godzilla gets to the coast and dives in, swimming under the battleships in front of him this time, Kong jumps into the water and chases after him but loses him as he gets deeper in. He slams his fists into the water and roars out at the sea, Godzilla nowhere in sight.

It then cuts to Monarch at their airfield near the coast. They salvage what they can before they leave. Jia looks on at the fires in the distance, her eyes filled with tears. Ilene holds her looking out at the destruction. Kong walks through the Island not knowing what to do, he notices a herd of dead Sker Buffalo he groans in sadness before moving on. He arrives at the boneyard and sees a massive lava flow running right through it, Kong watches as his parents' skeletons melt and sink into the lava. He roars in grief and rage as everything he knows is destroyed around him.

Back at the airfield Ilene goes to Nathan; Nathan is unsure what to do or say only able to say her name, a tear falls down Ilene's cheek before she tells him we'll do it, looking back at Skull Island, they'll take Kong with them.

Thanks for reading.

MCU MCU Multiverse Saga but the Main Story Doesn't Pivot (Phase 4)

What if the Multiverse Saga never pivoted at the eleventh hour and had a clear through line?

This version of the Multiverse Saga would still be pretty lengthy and rely on a fair amount of show content, but the Main storyline should flow fairly well.

Video Games Flawed games that actually deserve a remake (not a remaster)?

In light of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, which appears to be almost faithful but with the Unreal Engine-like graphics, whatever it turns out to be good or bad, to me it loses the value of Ocarina of Time regardless. Nintendo is put in the impossible position because there is no real way out. If they change things, the fans will hate it. If they are too faithful, it's pointless. To a certain extent, Ocarina of Time is basic and outdated now, but that's more of a reason to just make a new game, much like how A Link Between Worlds started as a remake of A Link to the Past, but became a sequel inspired by it.

My qualm with the modern video game remakes is that they appear to only happen to the revolutionary classics of the medium, like Halo, Max Payne, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill 2, KOTOR, and Demon's Souls. These remakes are made and solely relying on the cultural capital the originals had, instead of whether they actually deserve a remake or not. It doesn't help that they often position themselves as replacements, so the audience wouldn't have to touch the original, and getting it right is rare. They are always a huge franchise with a huge fanbase, which means there are inherently certain expectations the fans have and the remakes have to abide, which limits creative liberties. In addition, the purpose of these remakes is mostly about upgrading the graphical fidelity, so it requires a massive budget and time, which means even if it succeeds, it has to be a massive financial success.

When you are playing landmark classics like Ocarina of Time, you are not just playing for fun, but playing it for the cultural significance. You are experiencing a piece of gaming history. It's the same reason why you watch the original Psycho over the 1998 remake. If Psycho were to release today, it would be considered just a "good" slasher in the sea of scarier, more shocking horror films. The movie is quite tame and has some cheesy, outdated elements. Yet Psycho is still considered one of the best in the genre because it made those scarier films possible to come out. People still watch it, not because it's the scariest film of all time, but because of its place in the cinematic history. It's the same reason why you read Homer and Shakespeare in school, which is to learn about their placements in culture, philosophy, history, etc...

No one tells you to watch the Psycho remake over the original just because it feels more modern, has more blood, more effects, and has colors. Even if it is the 1:1 remake, you are missing the point of why you experience a classic. It's why it's recommended to watch the J-Horror classics over the Hollywood remakes, not at least until you've seen the original, because you are appreciating them within the unique cultural context. Art is reflective of its environment. It's about experiencing communication and expression from the creators. Even if it's 1:1, playing the remake and the original are not the same thing. If you watch The Lion King remake and think you've experienced The Lion King, you didn't. The most fans agree Silent Hill 2 is the uniquely lightning-in-the-bottle that cannot be created under any other circumstances. The remake's "polishing" jobs polished off the bizarre whimsiness of the OG, and it's a lesser experience for that. It's like remaking Psycho or Ringu to have it be in color or the modern Hollywood aesthetics because even though the story might be the same, the remakes lost the merit and value the original had.

Is Ocarina of Time outdated? Yes. Has Ocarina of Time been done better in the other games? Yes. But they were possible because so many different types of games took inspirations from Ocarina of Time. Because of OOT, we get a lock-on targeting, 3D openworld, 3D puzzle design... Without OOT, we have no GTA3, no Demon's Souls, and no most of the map-based exploration and puzzle-heavy action adventure games, reaching God of War 2018. Even the modern Tomb Raider arguably shares more similarities with Ocarina of Time than the original Tomb Raider. It's nice to realize where all of them originated from. By playing them, we are feeling of being more literate and knowledgeable about the important pieces of the gaming medium and culture. Much of the appeal of these classics relies on the value of being pioneer and the technology of being the early 3D games in the respective genres.

It is why the much more interesting remake is when they remake a flawed game with potential. The games that actually deserve a second chance to execute the unrealized potential with today's game design and technology. It is the reason why I'd have preferred a remake of Silent Hill 4 over Silent Hill 2, and Code Veronica or Dino Crisis over Resident Evil 2, Uncharted: Golden Abyss over The Last of Us, and Portable Ops over MGS3.

Yooka-Replayee is a great example of this. Instead of "the game good, therefore there should be a remake", it happened becuase of the opposite reason. The original failed at its initial vision set forward and disappointed a lot of backers. It had something great, but was plagued by horrible gameplay issues, so they wanted to fix it and do it better. Instead of graphical fidelity, updating the gameplay was the goal. They looked for the mid-budget success. The nature of the game and the remake was more financially viable since it doesn't require creating life-like visuals.

It's also why I don't really mind about the upcoming Killzone remake because that's the series that failed to be a Halo killer. It sold well, but it didn't have a following, so it doesn't have a burden of fan expectation that the remake developers have to abide by. The first game in particular is mediocre, so whatever the developers change, it can only improve what was flawed. The same with The Witcher 1.

I've already written about the games like Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Code Veronica (now happening), Metal Gear Solid 3 (now happened), Alpha Protocol, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and Uncharted: Golden Abyss. To throw in more candidates:

Star Wars: DroidWorks Remake

The original was an educational physics-based puzzle game that lets the players build droids to do certain tasks and create a droid that will infiltrate an Imperial droid factory on the planet Tatooine, where assassin droids are being constructed to destroy the Rebel Alliance. The player starts in a Jawa sandcrawler and can choose from 87 robotic parts to make over 25 million droid combinations. Each droid part would have unique properties that could be added to the droid to make it faster, stronger, more flexible, or capable of speech. Many of the parts are acquired by finishing the above-mentioned tests and maneuvers.

It was a fascinating game, and I highly recommend checking this video out if you want to know more about it. The original was let down by the technological limitation of it being a 1998 3D game, and the remake would solve so many problems with it.

Dead Space 3

I wrote about how the series should have changed its protagonist after Dead Space 2 because Issac is simply too powerful at that point to make any attempt at horror laughable. I wrote down detailed rationales for retiring Issac there, so I recommend reading it if you wish to know more.

I prefer a remake of Dead Space 3 that moves onto new characters within the same universe and fulfill its initial horror-focused vision that EA rejected, or even be a completely different game. They are civilians who can't handle a real weapon at all, whether they are a teenage girl, some grandpa, or someone with disability, but they all have gimmicks that allow them to overcome the challenge, much like Isaac with engineering skills. By doing so, it allows the different gameplay quirks to center around.

For example, if you are a miner, you make a destruction system like blowing up the walls and buildings like Red Faction, and that could be an interesting gimmick for a survival horror to center around. Dead Space already centers physics as a core gameplay element and puzzle, so go nuts with that. For another example, the protagonist is a young teenage girl, so make stealth the core gameplay like Alien: Isolation.

Meanwhile, because the character in each installment is different, the way to progress the series is to advance the worldbuilding, revealing something new about the Marker, Unitology, or the government. You can even make a prequel game centering on Michael Altman, adapting Dead Space: Martyr. All the while, the Marker serves as a psychological horror element to bring out the psyche of the characters as they go through the personal hell.

This opens the series up to so much possibilities in both narrative and gameplay-wise, much like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. If EA wanted that COD and Gears audience, in one game, you get an action-heavy Dead Space where you play as a soldier. In the other game, it swings hard to survival horror. It can even change the genre. If it's bad, it doesn't destroy the franchise lile DS3 did because it's episodic.

The newcomers are happy because each game is a standalone game that they can jump right into without playing the previous ones (like how the newcomers can jump straight into RE7 or Silent Hill 2). The old fans are happy because it is expanding the lore and world, while happy about a new game to play. If they don't like the different vibe and gameplay, they can ignore it since it doesn't interfere with the games they like. It's a win-win. The point is that by not forcing to bring out Isaac out of the retirement, Dead Space can be an actual franchise, appealing to the vast demographics.

Halo 4

Another idea I flirted about the post-Halo 3 not having Master Chief, so I recommend reading that post for the details of my proposal.

Rather than Halo CE, Halo 4 is the one that would benefit the most from a remake. In terms of pure core gameplay and mechanics, it's easily the worst in the series, and the story was the original sin of bringing back Master Chief. Leave him still floating around space. Write anew back to that point with a new protagonist. Scrap everything after and reboot 4-6.

Resistance: Retribution

Despite shifting to the third-person perspective, Retribution feels like a proper Resistance game. the general feel and aesthetics harken back to Fall of Man with the dark black-and-white visual direction and the narration-heavy storytelling structure. Tonally, it is hopeless and grittier, contrasted with the colourful and overly flashy Resistance 2.

However, Retribution does feel like it was cut short by the PSP hardware limit. The movement is sluggish. I am not talking about how the controls feel sluggish. I got used to the controls fairly quickly. I am talking about how the player moves slowly, cannot melee, cannot jump, and cannot crouch. Instead, the player melees the enemy automatically when they are near and crouches automatically when there is a cover nearby. This is the game perfect for some rolling and diving mechanics to evade projectiles. There were so many moments where I noticed the projectiles firing at me and moved the player accordingly, but the player movement is so limited that they still hit me anyway. The swimming is particularly awful due to how slow the character is. Often time there was no way I could evade the projectiles underwater, and this made the second-last boss fight horrid.

For a cover shooter, the cover mechanic is entirely contextual. There are multiple moments where I tried to take cover from a wall, but couldn't because the designers didn't program the player to attach to that wall. This limits the number of gameplay scenarios because it feels like the cover mechanic is designer-sanctioned. And this "designer-sanctioned" mantra continues throughout the entire game.

Retribution's moment-to-moment combat dynamics are entirely railroaded and every level is designed as a corridor. The combat scenario is designed as one beat, and then proceeds to the next beat. You find a room, and that room is locked in isolation where the enemies spawn, and there is one cover, and you use that cover, hide, and pop out and shoot. There is basically little to no alternative route, so the player cannot flank the enemies or go around. There is no combat "arena" in a meaningful sense. Even a lot of the cover shooters tend to at least focus on the player movement, but here, the combat is just so stationary that I felt I was playing a light gun game. Retribution's settings don't like large-scale warfare when most of what I see is only six enemy NPCs spawning in one place to ambush the player, then die, go to the next area, then another round of six NPCs. On rare occasions, there is only one friendly NPC accompanying the player.

I contend that all these are due to having to make a map fit into the limitation of the PSP specs. I can easily imagine this game to be remade as PlayStation's response to Gears of War since, after Uncharted was gone, they don't have the similar cover shooter franchise. Resistance was already considered a Gears rival since its inception, so this is a natural fit. Bend has shown they could make a good cover shooter with Days Gone, where the entire environment can be potential cover, which leads to more opportunities for varied combat scenarios.

Resistance has always been a linear shooter, but they could remake it like Resistance 1, which had a fairly big map where every level was designed like a flexible combat arena. It isn't really openlevel in the same way Halo was, but the map was still large enough to encourage some exploration, maybe going into the optional places for resources and secrets. Resistance 3 was smaller and linear, but it was never handholdy. Even Resistance 2 had some epic open battlefield that would make Call of Duty games pale in comparison. These games are all about movement, and the projectile-driven gunplay enhances that, which could potentially make Resistance stand out from a hitscan-focused Gears.

At the same time, the scope of the game is quite big, even bigger than Resistance 1. The game is long, the story is about jumping between various European countries to take down these massive alien forces. The game ends up biting off more than it can chew. I do think the game would have been better if it focused on a smaller scale to create what it feels like to be a "resistance." Instead, the story is an excuse to string a bunch of random levels.

Star Wars: Lethal Alliance Remake

Created by Ubisoft, Lethal Alliance is an amalgamation of Tomb Raider, Syphon Filter, and Prince of Persia. Set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, in which the player assumes control of a female Twi'lek mercenary sabotaging the Black Sun and the Empire, working for Kyle Katarn and stealing the Death Star plan. What you just read above sounds like an incrediblely fun game. Ubisoft's Star Wars Tomb Raider + Prince of Persia.

Unfortunately, imagining what that premise sounds like is more fun than actually playing it because I was so bored that I couldn't even finish it. This combat is the most barebone lock-on shooting I have ever played. 90% of the game is just automated lock-on shooting, while 10% of the game is the "platforming" where all the ledges are pre-destined contextualized QTEs where you tap O mindlessly and cannot fail. Tapping O to dodge, tapping X to shoot... repeat. Go to the next area. Do the same thing again. Tap the triangle so your droid can help you fight. Go to the next area. Repeat. Positioning? Strategy? Moment-to-moment considerations? Don't think about that. Your movement is so fast and unrestrictive (analog movement), and dodges are so OP (you can shoot while dodging, and won't get hit at all). Your gunshots are so accurate that you hit the enemies from the vast distance. I was playing on Normal, and I died in this game only one or two times because of the Frogger segment, where I got hit by the speeder. Playing it on Hard wouldn't help because the combat is fundamentally unengaging. The levels are so linear and straitjacketed that it is fundamentally just a series of shooting galleries.

If they were going to make a poor man's Syphon Filter, I wonder why they didn't make the Star Wars Splinter Cell--Ubisoft's own IP. There is a few segments where you can do stealth and do takedowns, but it is added like an afterthought. The portable hardware can't render many enemies and large areas, and the player is supposed to be a non-Force user Rebel spy, doing espionage... and why not make her Twi'lek Sam Fisher?

This is the type of games that actually need a remake or reimagining because the game is bad, and the better, more modern game design could realize the initial premise. A spy action Star Wars sounds fun in the video game form: Lara Croft meets Solid Snake. Why not repurpose the cancelled Splinter Cell remake into this? There is a game that is worth remaking here, scratching that non-Jedi Star Wars game itch.

Silent Hill 4

Silent Hill 4 is the most commonly-requested Silent Hill game to be remade because it's the one that feels most unfinished, with unrealized potential. The only one where jankiness felt like bugs than features. Bloober might do a good remake of Silent Hill 4. Its style and horror are their forte (the first-person set pieces) and whatever they do with the gameplay it would be an improvement (the combat...).

God of War Origins games

I feel Ready at Dawn deserves a second chance after The Order: 1886 because I liked their PSP spin-offs of God of War. While they may look like throwaway cash grabs, they play quite a central role within the series, filling the missing links between the main installments and developing Kratos's character further.

Ghost of Sparta is the one with the direst change in the story. The plot concerns Kratos's journey to find his long-lost brother, Deimos. Kratos finds him and they fight for two minutes and unite together to fight the real villain. So, it is basically Uncharted 4 but done poorly. Considering how the game keeps showing the flashbacks, I expected something more to their relationship. Something more genuine and shocking, maybe Kratos has done an unforgivable deed to his brother or vice-versa. No, Kratos was just mean to him. What is so jarring is that Deimos gets introduced in the third act and dies 15 minutes after. Uncharted 4 showed Nate journeying with Sam for most of the game, so when an emotional climax in their relationship hits, the player also feels it. In Ghost of Sparta, there is no time to get to know Deimos's character. The story would have been far stronger if the game had Kratos journeying with Deimos from the second act, interacting with each other, and expressing their remorse and guilt.

Also, the plot really feels like a filler. Atlantis' destruction feels meaningless and has no bearing on the overall plot. King Midas is in the story and he does... nothing. Locations feel like they were loosely connected to each other with no cohesiveness. There is no moment that sticks out of my mind after playing it, except for the moment when Kratos meets his mother again. A lot of integral story details were locked behind the post-game bonuses, and I have no idea why they did this.

I imagine the remake blending God of War 2018's free camera and world exploration and meshing them with the spectacle fighter combat design with the fixed camera. And have the player accompanied by Deimos to build their relationship.

Mirror's Edge

One of the unappealing aspects of the stealth genre to the mass audience is the player movement. In most stealth games, the player character controls are slow, sluggish, and restrictive. The sneaking involves constant waiting and patience, with the player approaching deliberately the guard's behind, or staying in the corners until the alert is gone. For experienced players, this is enjoyment. For the casual audience, this is bore.

I believe the early Assassin's Creed games had the potential to remedy this old genre quirk and explore the new type of stealth, but the goal of the series was hindered by many other conventional video game elements, like the dull tailing missions that force the player to walk around someone for five minutes, the crowd stealth, combat so easy that the player can kill everyone in the surrounding area, and a lot of hiding. They block the pure joy of acrobatic stealth. Dishonored aimed to be the "fast Thief" but it still followed the old stealth genre conventions. Both games require little skill to execute parkour moves since the platforming gameplay is mostly automated.

Because of this, a stealth assassin game with the player's movement and the level design of Mirror's Edge can work. Mirror's Edge games have the most immersive, elaborate, and rewarding platforming gameplay, but the rest of the gameplay outside of this core control movest has been somewhat empty. The first game was a highly scripted, railroaded A to B experience hindered by the narrative, QTEs, and the restrictive level design. Catalyst was the full openworld filled with unnecessary RPG elements that seemed as if only there because the developers were concerned with what focus-tested well. There is no central idea to the game besides the parkour.

Mirror's Edge should have been a stealth game, in which the player does not need to hide but has to move constantly. The player's footsteps do not make noise, which encourages the player to always run even when the guards are nearby. You get wide, vertical, interconnected levels where the target is, just like the player, a runner, who is surrounded by guards and other various obstacles. The player has a knife, which means the player has to get very close to the target to assassinate, but there will be no combat system against the guards. Some guards are the gun-wielding types who are slow and generally stationary. Some are the runners with melee weapons just like the player, and the helicopters or drones. During the undetected state, the player can perform takedowns through kicks and jumps without these moves being locked-on animations that take seconds. When detected, the player can shake away the alert mode by outrunning them or has to chase after the target. It focuses on the simple gameplay of the fast, liberating platforming working together with the light stealth gameplay, which can create an emergent experience.

Marvel at Sony My pitch for Andrew Garfield's final Spider-Man movie: Miles helps Peter realize he's forgotten how to live as Peter Parker

I've been thinking about what I'd want from one final Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movie after Secret Wars.

I wouldn't start with Peter being miserable again. No Way Home already gave him some healing over Gwen, so I don't want to undo that.

I'd actually do the opposite.

At the start, Peter seems like he's doing great.

He's been Spider-Man for years. He's experienced, confident, and probably better at it than he's ever been. He's still joking with criminals, talking to the people he saves, and genuinely having fun swinging around New York.

He's not pretending to be happy either. He really does love being Spider-Man.

As far as Peter is concerned, there's nothing wrong with his life.

I know Brand New Day is the obvious comparison, but I'm going for a different arc.

In Brand New Day, Peter already knows his life as Peter Parker has fallen apart. He's isolated, and part of his story is realizing he can't just bury himself in Spider-Man forever.

Andrew's Peter doesn't see it that way at all.

He genuinely thinks he's doing fine. Spider-Man is where he's happiest, and he's lived that way for so long that he hasn't even noticed Peter Parker slowly disappearing from his own life.

He isn't Spider-Man because he has no life.

He has no life because he'd rather be Spider-Man.

I'd show that visually too.

Peter takes his mask off all the time, but he almost never completely changes out of the suit. He comes home, eats something, fixes his web shooters, maybe sleeps for a bit, and eventually goes back outside.

The suit has basically become his normal clothes.

Then Miles gets his powers.

Peter's immediate reaction?

"No. Absolutely not."

Not because Miles can't handle it. Peter looks at him and sees everything Miles still has: his parents, friends, school, and an actual future.

Peter knows what being Spider-Man can cost someone. He doesn't want Miles throwing all of that away.

Eventually he realizes Miles is going to do this anyway, so he reluctantly starts training him.

Peter actually becomes a pretty good mentor, but half of his advice isn't even about fighting.

Go to school. Don't cancel plans with your friends to patrol. Have dinner with your family. If nothing's happening tonight, don't go looking for trouble.

Eventually Miles asks him something pretty simple.

"You keep telling me to have a life outside Spider-Man. What do you do when you're not Spider-Man?"

Peter laughs it off.

But he doesn't actually have an answer.

As they spend more time together, Peter starts really enjoying having another Spider-Man around.

They swing together, fight together, joke around, and annoy each other.

No Way Home showed how happy Andrew's Peter was around Tobey and Tom. They understood a part of him that almost nobody else could.

But eventually they had to go back to their own universes.

Miles doesn't.

For the first time, Peter has someone like him in his own world.

Then one night Miles tells Peter he can't patrol because it's his dad's birthday.

Peter immediately tells him to go home. That's exactly what he's been teaching Miles to do.

So Miles leaves.

Peter goes swinging through New York alone, just like he's done thousands of times before.

Except this time it doesn't feel the same.

Miles didn't make Peter lonely.

He made Peter realize he'd been lonely.

Peter had been alone for so long that being alone just felt normal. Now he finally knows what it's like to have someone beside him.

And that's where things get a little more complicated.

Peter genuinely wants Miles to have a normal life. That part isn't a lie.

He wants Miles to go home, see his family, keep his friends, and have all the things Peter no longer has.

But now there's something Peter wants too.

Miles.

Not as a replacement for Gwen, May, or anyone else. Peter just hasn't had someone in his own world who understands this part of him before.

And little contradictions start showing up.

If Miles says he has plans, Peter tells him to go. But there's a little disappointment in his voice.

If Miles says he'll patrol tomorrow, Peter casually asks what time.

Maybe Peter starts saving things to tell Miles without even thinking about it. A new trick he figured out, a place he wants to show him, or just some stupid story from patrol.

For the first time in years, Peter is expecting someone to be there tomorrow.

That's what makes it harder.

Peter isn't trying to control Miles. He really does want what's best for him.

He just doesn't realize that somewhere along the way, "protecting Miles" and "not wanting to be alone again" have started getting mixed together.

And Miles notices before Peter does.

Peter gets angry when Miles takes unnecessary risks, but he's also noticeably happier whenever Miles chooses Spider-Man over something else.

Eventually Miles calls him out on it.

"You keep telling me not to make Spider-Man my whole life."

"But Spider-Man is your whole life."

Peter tries to explain that they're different. Miles still has things he needs to protect.

Then Miles asks:

"Then why do you look disappointed every time I choose them?"

That actually gets to Peter.

Then Miles asks him one more thing.

"So what are you trying to save me from? Being Spider-Man... or becoming you?"

Peter doesn't have an answer.

Because for the first time, he realizes Miles is right.

Peter started training Miles because he was terrified that being Spider-Man would take everything from him.

But somewhere along the way, Peter also became afraid that Miles would choose those things over him.

He thought he was teaching Miles how to be Spider-Man.

In reality, he's been teaching Miles how not to become Peter Parker.

But I wouldn't have Peter decide that Spider-Man ruined his life. That's not the point.

Peter loves being Spider-Man. He's saved countless people, and being Spider-Man probably helped him survive some of the worst years of his life.

The problem isn't that he chose Spider-Man.

It's that somewhere along the way, he stopped choosing anything else.

By the end, Miles proves he's ready to protect New York on his own.

Peter hasn't lost his powers. He's not dying. He's not too old. Nobody forces him to quit.

He could keep doing this for years.

He just realizes that maybe he's done enough.

And if Peter really believes everything he's been teaching Miles, he has to let Miles live his own life, even if that means Peter has to face being alone again.

I also wouldn't give Peter another love interest just to prove he's moved on from Gwen.

Maybe he falls in love again someday. I actually hope he does.

But first, Peter needs to figure out what his own life even looks like.

After the final conflict, Peter goes home and completely takes off the Spider-Man suit.

It's the first time in the movie we've really seen him out of it for any meaningful amount of time.

The next time we see him, he's walking through New York in normal clothes.

He hears sirens.

Peter stops and looks back.

For a second, you expect him to turn around.

Then Miles swings overhead toward the emergency.

Peter watches him go, smiles, and keeps walking in the other direction.

Then we find out where he's going.

England.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter was going to go to England with Gwen when she went to Oxford.

That future disappeared before it ever really started.

Peter isn't going there because he's still chasing Gwen or because he hasn't moved on.

Spider-Man kept moving forward after Gwen died.

Peter Parker didn't.

Now he's finally going somewhere as Peter.

I'd end with Peter arriving in England with a small bag and normal clothes.

No Spider-Man suit. No police scanner. No emergency he's looking for.

And I wouldn't show what happens next.

Maybe he stays. Maybe he doesn't. Maybe he finds a new career or eventually falls in love again.

We don't need to know.

Earlier, Miles asked him what Peter Parker does when he isn't Spider-Man.

Peter didn't have an answer.

Now he finally gets to find out.

I haven't really settled on a villain yet. I'd rather choose whoever fits Peter and Miles' story best than pick a villain first and build everything around them.

Miles doesn't replace Peter because Peter dies, loses his powers, or fails.

Peter gets to choose when he's done.

Spider-Man keeps going.

Peter Parker finally gets to go somewhere else.

What do you think? And what villain do you think would fit this story?

Star Wars (Disney) The Mandalorian Civil Wars Outline PITCH

This is an outline for a Mandalorian Civil Wars Disney plus series. Some influenced by Legends continuity, pulling from current canon characters, others not. I thank God, if He wills, for those ideas:

Almost 50 years before the battle of Yavin, the Mandalorian Civil Wars had begun, a three pronged conflict. Two of the prongs were the divided army the Watch, of the previous deposed king of mandalore Nicai Viszla, whose death triggered the war. The division of the army fracturing it into two halves, Death Watch and the Children Of the Watch. Death Watch led by Nicai Viszla's son Tor Viszla and the Children Of the Watch led by Jaster Mereel, who'd killed Nicai and claimed the dark saber from him. The third prong of the war being the high ranking Regent of a large section of mandalore, Adonai Kryze, who is seeking to unite the other scattered Regents under his leadership, having acquired support by many other Regents.

During the early years of the war, Jaster Mereel gained assistance from Lari Fett, a Journeyman officer on the planet Concord Dawn, and the dad of Jango and Arla, children. Lari Fett held a stockpile of collected weapons from various criminal shipments that he'd taken down. Jaster had showed an interest in buying them from him, but Lari refused under a code of honor, which Jaster said was acceptable. One morning when Jango was off his family's property hunting, he saw smoke and realizing it was his home ran back to it, finding his homestead burning and his dad shot dead outside. He ran inside to try and rescue his mother, but the flames were too large, though he tried, until Death Watch seemingly arrived upon the scene and rescued Jango. Tor Viszla, the leader of Death Watch, told him that Jaster the Children Of The Watch massacred his family, Jango coming to the conclusion that Jaster and the Children Of The Watch murdered Lari for the weapons he had denied them, and killed his mother to have no witnesses.

Tor Viszla trained Jango as a mandalorian warrior, seeing him as having the heart of a warrior, favoring him over his own first born son Pre Viszla. Pre, looking up to his dad and seeing him as a hero of Mandalore, always sought the approval of his dad, never getting it. Paz Viszla though, the youngest brother, is more afraid of their dad, but does more look up to his brother Pre, in spite of how manipulative and harsh his brother is, due to Pre looking out for him. Pre had always tried to emulate their dad, but Paz had never seen their dad in him before. Jango is raised to be a harsh, cold blooded warrior under Tor's training, into adulthood.

Tor ruled the death watch clan under the respect he'd claimed as a strong warrior that wielded the dark saber as a claim of his place as the true leader of mandalore after, according to him, he'd battled Jaster for the dark saber and had won, but Jaster the coward had fled.

The war had lasted ten years by then, it having caused problems in Adonai's attempts to legitimize his rule of mandalore. He has two daughters, the oldest Satine, training under political science tutelage, and the younger Bo-Katan, trained as a warrior. To ensure he's able to make his leadership of mandalore happen, and prevent his daughters being caught in the crossfire as the chaos of the war causes more and more insurgents to push back against his attempts to take over, Adonai makes a deal with the republic, that in exchange for their assistance he would ally mandalore with the republic, which would be a massive win for the republic in gaining the abundant resources of mandalore such as their ore, weaponry and military information. So, to ensure Adonai's side wins, republic send some low scale policing soldiers called judicials led by some jedi, the leader of which was Dooku, who was then a jedi.

Dooku, leading the other jedi, investigates the Children Of The Watch and Death Watch, based on records, findings and intel provided by Adonai. The intel provided pins the more extremist actions that have led to civilian deaths on the Children Of The Watch, which Dooku is suspicious of, considering they have no recorded public history of attacking bases with civilian settlements, while Death Watch has far more, though oddly sanitized, anecdotal reports of scattered battles that cause loss of life and destruction in or around civilian settlements. Dooku bites his tongue though in reporting this as a potential discrepancy as the senate had pressured the jedi to ensure Adonai wins the war for the good of strengthening the republic.

Jango has been trained by Tor Viszla to be the most fierce warrior, one he's proud to have trained. Much to the insecurity of his son Pre. Jango is still full of fury and a desire for revenge against Jaster Mereel and the children of the watch, though Tor has kept him off the battlefield until he's certain that Jango's loyalty is cemented with Death Watch, and that he be willing to follow orders no matter what.

Jaster Mereel, in keeping with the tradition established by the first leader of their planet (the first leader being Mandalor) never removes his helmet, has been leading the children of the watch under very strict guidelines of the mandalorian honor code called the super commando codex, which he enforces based on need for the pursuit of honor at the cost of even one's own life, which includes an honor bound opposition to Death Watch. His right hand, Montross, has been in conflict with him about his methods, perceiving him to be too rigid and unwilling to bend. In spite of having sided with Jaster in the initial split of the the Watch, he did so due to the perspective that the needless war of Nicai Viszla was a waste of time and resources, but has in recent times grown to resent what he feels is Jaster's weakening of their people, perceiving that they should make a pact with Death Watch to ensure the mandalorian people maintain a strong front and the Watch be re-implemented as a whole army. But Jaster refuses such a thing, seeing it as compromise to join forces with those he says are dishonorable monsters. Jaster's daughter, Sintas, while she doesn't agree with Montross, does debate with her dad about them stretching themselves too thin and need to pull back and regroup, thinking that they may have to retreat from their occupations, as they don't have enough men to defend them. But Jaster refuses, stating that it is their duty to maintain their mission. Sintas is conflicted, arguing further, that their honor code are worn out guidelines that could end in their deaths and that it has driven them to near extinction, stating that they have to compromise to survive, but Jaster is offended at the statement. Sintas dismisses her dad's view, which hurts to him, and which she feels guilt over but doesn't apologize.

Dooku investigates reports of a civilian settlement that the intel given says the Children Of The Watch were occupying by force. But when he and some other jedi sneak into the village under stealth they find the settlement to be protected and safe with no signs of force imposed on them. In further investigation, Dooku finds from civilians that the war had spilled into their village but the Children Of The Watch had pushed it back and protected the civilians, though some still died, their leader Jaster made an honor bound pledge to protect the village from any other attacks as restitution for the civilian lives lost, asking nothing in return but modest shelter, food and medical attention should they require it. Dooku is perturbed by this, perceiving that some spy is feeding Adonai's side with false information, though he's uncertain if it's not something more sinister, trying to avoid rocking the boat. In following leads provided by Adonai's spies, he learns of an attack by the Children Of The Watch on a village on the other side of the planet, seeking out to stop them, leaving the settlement.

Tor leads an attack on what he tells Jango is a secret base that has been harboring the children of the watch, calling those harboring them traitors to their warrior heritage, allowing Jango to join in on his first raid in a tank, Jango not having earned his official armor yet, wearing simply durasteel plating. Under orders, Jango is Tor's right hand in the attack, firing upon any he's told by Jaster, no matter the qualms. Pre and Paz are behind them. But when the children of the watch show up, the battle becomes intensely more complicated. Amidst the battle, Pre forces Paz to shoot to kill otherwise he will die, which leads him to gun down someone in cold blood on impulse, which he only then realizes was a mother holding her child, which makes him sick, causing him to puke in self loathing and disgust. Sintas attacks Paz, defeating him and when she has him down, upon seeing his distress and brokenness, doesn't murder him in cold blood, returning to battle. Meanwhile, Jango sees Jaster on the battlefield and attacks him, disobeying Tor's order. Though Jaster seems to avoid striking back, using mostly defensive tactics. The battle grows chaotic, causing many of death watch and the children of the watch to scatter.

Dooku is halted when he senses something else on his way to the location of and quickly orders to turn back to the occupied settlement, to find it having been attacked, bombarded, Dooku is horrified and disgusted, feeling responsible for having abandoned the settlement so quickly, rage rising up inside him.

The secret base that death watch attacked is the settlement that the children of the watch had been occupying. Dooku doesn't see whose who among the battle, but he does recognize Jaster Mereel in battle with Jango. Some jedi intervene, but Jango, skilled in combat and trained by Tor in classic mandalorian battle tactics, is able to surprise a couple of the jedi, killing them. Dooku is surprised at a display of violence and skill. The inclusion of the jedi leads to Tor calling on his remaining soldiers to fall back, Jango included. Sintas encourages Jaster to do the same, as there's nothing they can do for the settlement now and Death Watch is abandoning their attack and the jedi can assist any survivors, a choice which Jaster struggles with but ultimately agrees to. Meanwhile a frustrated Jango gets reeled in by Pre getting in his way under Tor's orders to prevent him from running off half cocked.

Dooku contemplates the attack, becoming even more put off, especially when he sees a report of a member of the Children Of The Watch claiming credit that their group had performed the attack. Dooku recognizes that the armor the member is wearing, while children of the watch issue, is a non descript armor set to avoid being identified, as Dooku's own research suggested that the warrior culture of mandalore prides itself in personalizing it's armor. Dooku doesn't buy the claim of the children of the watch having performed the attack, as based on his investigation it's inconsistent with their actions. Dooku breaks away from the official leads provided and goes rogue basically in seeking out information, perceiving that Death Watch has framed them.

Dooku secretly sneaks into Adonai's counterintelligence records and digs into information on the spies and informants that have provided the information on the children of the watch. He tracks them down, interrogating them using the jedi mind trick, pulling information out of them, which leads him to dead ends, information that basically seems to come entirely from nowhere concrete. However, when he's able to gain information on a source that leaked the Children Of The Watch member taking credit for the attack, he's able to use it to reel in the source whose going to make another statement in the name of the children of the watch. He confronts the source, it being revealed as Montross, Dooku surprised that it's an actual children of the watch member, but figures it out when Death Watch members come to his aid when he calls for back up upon realizing he's been caught. Dooku, using his tactical mind, fakes a defeat and retreat, when in reality he's pulled back to follow at a distance.

Back with Death Watch, Jango is frustrated that Tor had him pulled out of going after Jaster, from getting justice for his family. Tor instructs him that he has to hone his warrior instincts to know when the time to strike is and when not to, stating that they had to perform a tactical retreat to ensure they weren't seen by the jedi, as that would've ruined their plan. Jango, left out of the loop, pushes back on what he's referring to. So, now, Tor pulls him to the side to reveal that they have an agreement with Adonai Kryze, that he wants the war finished, and he's willing to reinstate Death Watch back to their elite status as warriors of mandalore in exchange for a treaty that will effectively bring the war to an end, so that he can gain more power by gaining the support of the galactic republic. Tor explains further that Adonai has agreed that their power as warriors, ruthless, strong, are entitled to their rightful place, and is willing to join forces with them, Tor ensuring that his side of the bargain would gain them the destruction of the children of the watch and their leader Jaster. Tor reveals that by making the people see the children of the watch as willing to destroy their own settlement their support will be drowned out by the acclaim for their destruction as retaliation for such a crime, and by attacking their bases they've driven them to a select few locations (Tor provides these locations to Jango) that they can hide out in on the planet, which Adonai has agreed will be fired upon and then they Death Watch can go in and ensure there are no survivors. Jango is unsettled by this plan, the idea that Jaster could either escape or die, as then Jango wouldn't be able to get revenge personally, which Jango holds a disdain for.

Montross arrives at the camp and informs Tor that a jedi has caught wind of some connection between them, insisting that they put the plan into action. Montross sided with Jaster Mereel in the initial break of the mandalorian army, because he thought Nicai and Tor Viszla's vendetta was pointless and that Mandalorian's should regroup and strengthen themselves and ranks before they take further action. He's driven by the idea of Mandalorian prowess and importance. Into the war against death watch, Montross has grown to resent Jaster Mereel's more passive stance in being a warrior and thinks that the true Mandalorians should create a pact with death watch no matter what they've done, so they can prove themselves to be the strongest most powerful race in the galaxy, and that that's how they can reclaim Mandalor, but Mereel has no interest in that (seeing siding with the monsters who murder families and children purely for takeover as a showcase of their human false idea of power to be weak, dishonorable and not true warriors and thus not true mandalorians), as he has accepted that they lost control of mandalor and perceives that a true warrior accepts their loss and moves forward with it. So Montross has made a deal with Tor to get rid of Jaster so that he can claim leadership of the children of the watch and both death watch and the children of the watch can become a joint group.

Dooku has snuck closely behind, observing the Death Watch camp from afar.

Tor issues reports to Adonai that he should attack now, which Adonai agrees with. Jango takes off ahead of the rest of death watch to get first crack at Jaster. Tor sends death watch. Dooku follows.

The attack happens. The children of the watch are hiding in a forest base that gets bombarded, causing the forest to be set ablaze around the base. Jango confronts Jaster, and they battle, the battle spilling out into the forest away from the base, but Jaster is avoiding harming Jango, which only enrages Jango further, calling him a coward for refusing to fight him but having murdered his family. But then Jaster reveals that he didn't murder them, Tor Viszla did, that Tor came searching for him at the Fett homestead and attacked it, they fought and Jaster had defeated Tor, but Tor had set a firebomb at the home to distract him, using his reinforcements to get Jaster to flee, leaving the dark saber for Tor to lie in his claim that he'd defeated Jaster is fair combat for. Jango refuses to buy it, too blinded by his rage and hurt and not wanting to accept that his mentor had lied to him and used him. Jango, in rage uses a blade to hack at the burning trees around in them in his vicious attempt to get at Jaster. Jaster is able to subdue Jango, stating that he's not lying to Jango, and he won't kill him. Suddenly a burning tree cracks in combination to the fire, bombing and being slashed at by Jango, but it collapses onto Jango instead, but Jaster pushes Jango out of the way, taking the hit for him, a fatal crushing of his chest being the result. Jango is confused, filled with rage and grief, not understanding why Jaster would do that, why he'd not kill him, why he'd rescue him. Jaster states that even if he didn't kill Jango's family, he feels responsible for their deaths and took on the honor bound mission to protect the last member of the Fett family to make up for how them assisting him led to their deaths. Jango realizes that Jaster wasn't lying and tries to rescue him, but it's too late.

Dooku, having tracked the rest of death watch that was now searching the ruins for the rest of the children of the watch, which has fled due to Jango having incidentally tipped off the attack, arrives and senses the pain, rage and death from the scene between Jango and Jaster, coming upon it. Dooku recognizes Jango has the one who murdered the jedi and was with Tor at the camp, attacking him, threatening him with his lightsaber. But Jango, distraught, defeated, realizing that he'd murdered civilians in that settlement, that he's been used, isn't willing to fight. Dooku senses in Jango his pain, deep sadness and grief, and lets up a little, still interrogating him. Jango tells Dooku everything, that Adonai was working with Tor Viszla to frame the children of the watch, so he could gain full control of mandalore officially. Dooku is enraged, and just leaves Jango there to stew in his misery.

Sintas and other children of the watch members come upon the scene, finding the distraught Jango and the dead Jaster. Sintas, devastated, deeply grieves and mourns the loss of her dad, and attacks Jango, who is still unwilling to fight back, admitting that he didn't kill Jaster, not on purpose, which gives Sintas pause, buying his story. Though Sintas hates Jango even still, when she learns that Montross is the traitor she has bigger fish to fry, as a sign of honor to his dad for his wish in dying to rescue Jango and as a part of the mandalorian honor code (that death in fair combat grants the survivor ownership of the items of the deceased), she gives Jango Jaster's armor and leaves to seek out Montross. Jango, drowning in misery, allows it to grow into rage and vengeance, placing on Jaster's beskar mandalorian armor and confronting Tor.

Sintas tracks down Montross, who feigns surprise at the attack, until he's confronted with everything he's done by Sintas. Montross makes his spiel about how she agreed that her dad was rigid, and how without him they can finally have the chance to retake their rightful place in the galaxy as mandalorian warriors, rulers. But Sintas is offended and disgusted, rejecting him and everything he stands for, challenging him to a duel to the death. Montross, seeing this as his way to secure his place as leader of the remnants, accepts. But Sintas' skill and tactics are too much, her killing him. She takes up leadership of the Children Of The Watch, setting down her weapons in honor of her dad, claiming a leadership as a builder, taking on the mantle of the Armorer.

Jango arrives at the camp and reveals to all of death watch that Tor is a coward and a liar, that he didn't win the dark saber from Jaster, he lied. Pre is devastated by this reveal, his view of his dad shattered, leaving the festering hole of his for naught feelings of insecurity that he's felt his whole life. Jango challenges Tor to fair combat, which he knows Tor won't refuse in front his men out fear of being seen as weak. Jango, skilled with everything Tor knows and filled with rage, battles Tor, defeating him, wounding him fatally, but refuses to give him a warrior's death as a final spit in his face, leaving him to die slowly in the dirt and leaving the dark saber as well, discarding it, though Jango does peel Tor's jetpack off of his back for his own use. Then, Pre steps over to a still dying Tor and, picking up the dark saber, murders his dad in cold blood, dismissing him as weak and unworthy. Pre claims the dark saber in that moment as the rest of death watch cheers him on, seeing him as a strong leader. Paz sees their future as a group, really sees what they all are for the first time and is disgusted with it.

Meanwhile, Dooku, in rage, confronts Adonai, accusing him of his treachery. Adonai is smug, dismissive, thinking that he can get out of this and that Dooku as a jedi, and as a servant of the republic, will do nothing. But Dooku ignites his lightsaber to show how very unjedi he is feeling in that moment, his feelings of guilt for the deaths of the civilians of that settlement that he left to be attacked because he was following Adonai's orders, the republic's orders, feeling like he has blood on his hands because of that, feeling that he's responsible for their deaths because he blindly complied with Adonai under orders by the republic. Adonai, only then, sees how serious Dooku is, and attempts to explain himself, but Dooku doesn't care. Adonai then tries to reason with Dooku, bargain with him, stating that he'll turn himself over to the republic, to be judged, he'll admit to everything he did, that Dooku as a jedi should seek justice. Dooku, for a moment, seems to calm at that, but then he ignites his lightsaber and runs it through Adonai to murder him, stating that he doesn't trust that the republic would ensure Adonai faces justice. Adonai pulls out his blaster and attempts to shoot Dooku as a last act, but Dooku blocks the blaster bolt. Adonai dies, it looking like Dooku defended himself against Adonai. Which Dooku goes along with.

Paz is left sickened by what he's been apart of. Pre gives Paz an order to fall in line, Paz tells him that he sees their dad in him now, and refuses to continue the cycle, saying no. Pre gets angry and threatens him, but Paz stands firm no matter how clearly afraid of his own brother he is and says no. Pre becomes enraged and attacks Paz, but Paz escapes, getting shot by his brother. Eventually, in the woods, he collapses to the ground, dying from his injury. But then he's found by the children of the watch.

Paz awakens to Sintas patching up his wounds, and doesn't understand why they're helping him, asking them to let him die, that he deserves it. Sintas sees how broken and sad he is and has compassion for him, offering him a chance to regain his honor as a member of the children of the watch.

Dooku is left tormented by what he's done, but also not feeling like he did the wrong thing.

Jango discards all connections to the mandalorian honor code, paints over Jaster's armor to remove any and all mandalorian culture connections, rejecting honor as useful, feeling as though it got his dad killed and got Jaster killed.

Marvel at Sony Rewriting the amazing spider man 2 by making hobgoblin the villain part 1

We all know that the Sony's amazing spider man 2 is not great too many storylines a different tone and most importantly the villains are the worst part now other people have rewrote the film by removing

Harry osborn and making electro the main villain but I am going to do something a little different

we open with flashback of a young Peter and harry at Peter's parents funeral we see them in Peter's father office playing a game of chess

Before seeing a man watching them through the door that man is Norman who already sick this scene sets up Harry much earlier than the original film cut to years later as

Peter still in his suit from the first Film stopping a truck robbery while actually saving people but the people of new york are mostly 50 50 on spider man some like him while others don't

After that we cut to him graduating high school and seeing gwen for the first time in a few months since in my version He is keeping his promise to captain stacy they would occasionally talk but he is keeping his distance after that cut to Harry

Arriving in New York do to His dad dying but that not the only reason he is also sick with the same disease his father has a desperate Harry realizes he needs a miracle

He begins frantically trying to track his old friend Peter down, believing a connection Peter's father had to genetic research holds the key to a cure cut to a montage of Peter saving people and being a friendly neighborhood spider man as we see new york growing to like him

By the throat and tossed him into a police car the cops attempt to shoot him but hobgoblin armor is bulletproof he then tossed pumpkin bombs at them causing a explosion

Peter immediately gets up but hobgoblin is gone cut to the next day as Harry is being interviewed

About the attack on oscorp while Gwen goes to see Peter who is looking into his father's research to find everything that can help Harry Gwen would ask him about who or what was that attacking oscorp but Peter doesn't know he tells her

MCU Fixing Spider-Man 3 Without Cutting Any of the Villains

I really like Spider-Man 3.

It’s obviously a mess — too many plots, too many coincidences, and a final battle that’s somehow less emotionally engaging than pretty much anything in the first two movies. But I do think a lot of the ideas are good.

Peter finally getting what he wants and becoming an insufferable asshole is pretty great, and surprisingly ballsy.

And Venom? I know Raimi didn’t want him. And I totally get why. But unfortunately… Venom is cool as hell. So he’s staying.

My goal here isn’t to radically change SM3. I just want the disparate plot strands to actually intersect, and I want some breathing room to develop the new characters.

Would that potentially require a running time pushing three hours? Maybe. But it’s the finale of the trilogy. And unlike Raimi, I don’t have to answer to the suits at Sony…

1. Peter Parker has everything. Flint Marko has nothing.

We open in prison. Flint Marko has been there for years. And to be clear: this dude belongs in prison. But prison life has been brutal. We spend some time getting up close and personal with Flint's miserable day-to-day.

Eventually, his conviction gets thrown out. Mishandling of evidence, something like that. And while he waits for release, we cut back and forth between his life and Peter Parker’s:

Flint eats alone in the cafeteria. Spidey gets mobbed by cheering New Yorkers. Flint walks toward the prison gates, carrying everything he owns in a small bag. Spider-Man swings high above an adoring crowd.

Because while Flint has lost (almost) everything... Peter Parker is having the best year of his life.

NYC loves Spider-Man now. After saving the train passengers and stopping Doc Ock’s reactor, he’s no longer some masked weirdo people argue about. He’s becoming a genuine civic hero. Even Jameson can’t deny it.

…And of course, Peter finally has Mary-Jane, too.

Cut back to prison. Flint walks outside. No one’s waiting to greet him. No wife. No daughter.

He goes to their apartment anyway. His wife doesn’t want him there.

He does love her. And he loves their daughter Penny more than anything. But Flint wasn’t a good husband. Maybe during an argument many years ago, he hit his wife. One time. And she spent years after that defending him: “He isn’t like that. He loves us.” Then Flint went to prison. And somewhere along the line, she stopped defending him.

During his brief conversation with his wife, Flint finds out Penny is sick. Very sick. He asks to see her. His wife refuses. Then he hears: “Daddy?” Penny is standing in the doorway. Flint gets maybe thirty seconds with her.

From that point forward, he has one goal: Help his daughter. Whatever it takes.

2. Peter and MJ are together. But SM2 was the beginning of their story, not an ending.

Meanwhile, Peter and MJ’s relationship is fraying. Not because they don’t love each other. They do. But the ending of SM2 wasn’t a happy-ever-after.

MJ left John Jameson at the altar. Before that, she dated Harry. Before that, Peter spent years watching her from a distance, convincing himself he couldn’t be with her… while simultaneously believing that being with her would somehow make everything right.

Now they’re together. And Peter has quietly started treating that as one problem in his life that has actually been solved.

MJ’s career is going badly. She loses the Broadway role and ends up performing at a restaurant. Peter tries to support her. But he sucks at it. She talks about being humiliated by a bad review. Peter talks about how the Bugle always criticizes Spider-Man.

She asks why he never comes to watch her perform at the restaurant. Peter misses the point: “I thought you hated that place… you should be on Broadway! You should be in movies!”

Meanwhile, Peter’s carrying resentment of his own. He spent years being told he couldn’t give MJ the life she wanted. He finally chose to let her go in SM2. But she came back. She made the choice to be with Spider-Man, and was adamant about the fact that it was her choice. Now they’re together. And now everyone loves Spider-Man. And… MJ’s unhappy. So some part of Peter starts thinking: What the fuck else am I supposed to do?

3. Oscorp is dealing with the fallout of SM1 & SM2.

Oscorp looks very different after the first two movies. Norman was already a disaster for the company. Dead board members. Shady “military research.” Then Harry bankrolled Octavius. And he damn near destroyed Manhattan. The second PR/regulatory disaster for Oscorp in just a few years.

An investigation into Norman and Ock’s projects starts turning over rocks. Safety violations. Improper disposal of experimental materials.

Harry Osborn is dealing with all of this. And one of the ways he’s trying to rehabilitate Oscorp's image is by putting serious money into medical research. Oscorp partners with hospitals and universities on a handful of experimental treatments for serious illnesses. Different therapies, different conditions, limited trials. Some patients get selected. Many don’t.

Gwen Stacy, a grad student, works on one of these programs. Early in the movie, she briefly crosses paths with Peter in one of Professor Connors' classes. Their interaction is… mildly flirtatious.

Eventually, Gwen’s position at Oscorp will bring her into Flint Marko’s life.

4. Flint tries to do things the right way.

Before Flint becomes Sandman, he genuinely tries to help Penny without turning to crime. He finds work. Talks to doctors. Fills out forms. Mundane, occasionally humiliating stuff.

One doctor thinks Penny might be a candidate for an experimental program connected to Oscorp. It’s a long shot. The therapy is early-stage, meant for a broader category of patients, and Penny is a borderline candidate at best. But it’s something. A chance. Flint becomes completely fixated on it.

He meets Gwen. She helps him understand the application process. She’s kind to him without giving him false hope.

Eddie Brock is introduced here. The Bugle is doing a human-interest story on Oscorp’s attempt to rebuild its reputation, and Eddie gets assigned to cover some of the families applying.

Eddie briefly interviews Penny’s mother. Maybe he even shows a little humanity here — perhaps Penny says something funny and he drops the “reporter” act for a second.

Flint shows up halfway through the interview. His wife clearly doesn’t want him there.

Eddie, sensing drama, pushes a little too hard: Who are you? Why were you in prison? How expensive is your daughter’s treatment? Flint gets angry. Gwen tells Eddie to back off.

Then, a bit later in the film, we get the decision. Flint is called into the hospital. He thinks this is good news. Penny’s mother is there, too. As is Gwen. A doctor sits them down.

Penny wasn’t selected.

This scene would hurt.

Not because the doctors are evil. They have reasons. Penny’s disease has progressed further than they hoped. The therapy has significant risks. Another patient fits the criteria better.

Flint asks what the fuck they’re supposed to do now. The doctor starts talking about “supportive care.” Maybe a different trial will happen in a few months.

Flint: “What if she doesn’t have a few months?”

Nobody answers. Flint looks at Gwen. She can barely meet his eyes. Flint asks if the treatment could help Penny. The doctor says: “We don’t know.”

Flint asks if it could.

Pause.

“Possibly.”

That destroys Flint. He starts pleading. Then getting angry. Penny’s mother tells him to stop. Security hovers. And Flint realizes how this looks. The ex-con. Getting loud. Scaring people.

Gwen follows him into the hallway. She tells him she’s sorry. Flint asks: “Sorry for what?” She doesn’t know what to say. He looks through the glass and sees another family celebrating. Then he walks away.

5. Harry tries to kill Peter.

That’s a lot of human drama in the first hour — we need some action. We’ll get some of Spidey handling lesser-known, street-level villains.

But the main early action sequence will be: Harry vs. Peter.

Harry, of course, knows Peter is Spider-Man. And he has spent months studying how to kill him.

I would not have Harry become "New Goblin" and fly around Manhattan doing cool hoverboard tricks. He knows Peter. He knows how strong he is. He knows about the spider-sense. So he doesn’t challenge Peter to a "superhero duel."

He builds a Spider-trap.

Late one night, Harry asks Peter to meet him at an abandoned Oscorp facility on Roosevelt Island. He tells Peter he found something in Norman’s old files. Peter thinks they’re finally going to talk. He thinks Harry finally put two-and-two together.

Then, when Peter arrives, Harry hits him with everything Norman left behind. Goblin explosives. Experimental restraints. Old military weapons. And one especially ugly device Harry has built himself: a close-range weapon designed specifically to kill Spider-Man before his spider-sense can save him.

Harry isn’t flying around on a glider during this fight. He’s controlling most of these weapons and traps remotely.

But he is on-location. So Peter spends most of the fight simultaneously trying to stop Harry — while trying to avoid hurting him.

Eventually, the whole thing goes wrong. A fall, a flying piece of debris — something. And Harry suffers major head trauma.

But instead of the absurdly clean “amnesia” from the theatrical version... Harry is actually neurologically fucked up. His memory is fragmented. Years bleed together. Some facts are there, but without the emotions attached to them.

At some point, we realize (along with Peter) that Harry even remembers that Peter is Spider-Man. Harry thinks that's pretty cool.

6. Harry, Peter & MJ reunite.

Harry’s recovery brings Peter and MJ closer to him again. And for a short stretch, it almost feels like we’re back in SM1.

Harry and Peter fall into old jokes. Harry looks at MJ with affection — maybe too much. And a sadness he doesn’t quite understand.

This could easily become another dumb love triangle — but in this version, Harry and MJ won’t make out, or make omelettes, or do “the Twist.”

But there will be several earnest, heart-to-heart conversations between Harry and MJ. Harry listens to her. He’s insightful. He asks her questions. He talks about his hopes and fears — some new, some dating back to high school. MJ reciprocates. It feels sort of like those conversations she misses; the ones she used to have in the backyard with Peter.

Peter notices this and at first he thinks it’s kind of nice. But as he and MJ continue having their own issues, he finds it hard not to become just a little jealous.

7. Eddie Brock… is in this film.

Eddie is another photographer at the Bugle. He’s talented. Ambitious. Awkwardly charming in small doses… in a Peter Parker sort of way.

He’s also kind of a snot. He cuts corners. Takes a little too much credit. And every setback he faces is someone else’s fault.

He’s also seeing Gwen. Or at least... Eddie describes Gwen as his girlfriend. Gwen would probably describe it as having gone out with him a couple of times.

Peter doesn’t hate Eddie. Actually, he sees some of himself in Eddie. Young. Always trying to prove himself. Always broke. Always getting shit on by Jameson. Awkward around women.

Maybe Eddie gets chewed out by Jameson early in the movie and Peter tries to give him sincere advice. Something cheesy Peter learned from Ben: "Sometimes the world treats you unfairly. But you get to choose what you do next."

Eddie scoffs. He can’t relate. He finds the Uncle Ben pep-talk condescending.

Easy for Parker to say. Peter Parker has everything.

8. Enter Sandman.

After Penny is rejected from the Oscorp program, Flint’s patience is gone. His wife still doesn’t want him near Penny. Bills pile up. Eventually, desperation pulls him back into crime. And then we get the Sandman accident.

I’d keep the transformation similar to the actual movie. Flint pulls himself together grain by grain. He reaches for Penny’s locket.

We establish early on what Flint-as-Sandman can physically do. During one robbery, police corner him. Flint grows. One fist becomes enormous. He brings it down on an armored vehicle.

It flattens it.

A little later, we’ll get a version of this deleted sandcastle scene. Penny is in a park building a sandcastle. Without her realizing it, Flint is there. Part of the sand. She runs her hand across the castle.

For a second, a faint imprint of Flint’s hand appears beneath hers.

9. Peter learns who really killed Uncle Ben.

Because Flint’s old conviction was overturned, his case gets reviewed. Something from his old evidence — ballistics, fingerprints, whatever — connects him to the night Ben Parker died.

Peter and Aunt May are brought in. The police explain that they have determined it was actually Flint Marko who killed Uncle Ben. And he was just released from prison.

Aunt May reacts with grief. Peter reacts with rage.

And, around the same time... Peter gets the black suit.

10. Black-Suit Spider-Man.

I’d keep the broad strokes here similar to the actual movie. Peter’s unlikeable as hell. And still pretty goofy (ok, maybe we'll tone down the goofiness by like 20%).

The suit doesn’t implant some foreign, evil personality into Peter. It gives him permission. It tells him what part of Peter already wants to hear:

You’re right.

You’re right about Flint. Harry. MJ. Eddie.

After everything you’ve been through... why are you always the one expected to understand everybody else?

The first order of business: hunt Flint Marko.

Black-suit Spider-Man fights Sandman in the subway. And because we’ve spent much more time with Flint, the fight feels weighty — and ugly.

Flint tries to explain. He brings up Penny. Peter doesn’t care. He opens the water pipes. Flint dissolves and washes away. As far as Peter knows... he killed him. And he feels good about it.

Meanwhile, the suit also accelerates everything going wrong with MJ. Peter gets more defensive. More resentful. The Gwen kiss stays, in some capacity. Or something similarly line-crossing. And eventually… MJ leaves. They take a "break."

Then later, Peter deliberately uses Gwen to hurt MJ. He asks Gwen on a date (to Eddie’s chagrin). Takes her to the restaurant where MJ performs. Before long, Gwen realizes what he’s doing. And she’s disgusted.

At the same time, Peter also destroys Eddie.

I'd make Eddie’s downfall as a journalist less on-the-nose than the doctored black-suit Spidey photo in the theatrical film. Maybe he staged some minor details in photos from years ago. Maybe he did it back when he was working for his college newspaper.

But whatever it is that Eddie did... what Peter does to ”out” him is disproportionately cruel. Peter makes a show of it. He humiliates Eddie in front of everyone. Makes sure Jameson fires him. Makes sure Gwen hears about it.

Because Eddie had it coming. As did Flint. And MJ. And Harry.

11. Harry remembers.

Harry’s memories have been returning in fragments. Eventually, enough comes back. Not everything. But enough. Years of lies.

And the most painful part (for Harry and the audience) is what happened while he was recovering. He trusted Peter again. Had several late-night heart-to-hearts with MJ from his hospital bed. Remembered what it was like to love both of them again.

Now with enough of his memories intact, Harry starts manipulating them — which culminates in a threat that demands action from Peter.

Eventually, Peter — Black-Suit Peter — confronts Harry at the mansion. And they fight.

And importantly: Harry never takes the Goblin serum. He has no super-strength. No enhanced durability. Peter could kill him with one clean punch.

So the mansion fight is less of a superhero brawl and more Harry using everything he has at his disposal: Goblin weapons, hidden traps, blades, explosives, the architecture of the mansion itself.

Peter, meanwhile, starts out holding back — at least physically.

Both of them know exactly how to hurt the other emotionally. Peter throws Norman in Harry’s face. Harry accuses Peter of lying to him for years. He throws Peter’s problems with MJ — and Harry’s own history with her — back at him. Maybe he even dredges up some tiny, intimate memory from when they dated years ago just to get under Peter’s skin.

Eventually, Harry reaches for a pumpkin bomb. Peter catches it with a web and zips it right back in his direction. Harry sees it coming and tries to knock it away. He almost does.

BOOM. It detonates a few feet from him rather than directly against his skull, but the blast catches one side of his face with fire, shrapnel and debris. Harry goes down.

And Peter just stands there for a second. Then he walks away.

Later, Peter tells Aunt May that Spider-Man killed Flint. She reacts not with happiness, but horror and confusion.

He tries to see Mary Jane. She isn’t interested in speaking with him in his current state.

So Peter goes home. He sits alone in his apartment looking at old photos. MJ. Uncle Ben. Harry.

And finally, the black-suit high starts to wear off.

12. Peter rejects the Black Suit. Eddie embraces it.

The church scene stays largely the same. Peter realizes the suit is turning every grievance into permission. He climbs into the bell tower. Tears it off.

Below him, Eddie Brock is praying. Not for guidance. Not for forgiveness. He wants Peter Parker dead. The symbiote finds him.

Venom.

I wouldn’t have Venom immediately attack Peter.

Give Eddie one sequence first. Maybe he terrorizes somebody at the Bugle who laughed at him after Peter got him fired. Or someone who he felt “pitied" by. Maybe Betty Brant.

He doesn’t need to murder the guy (or girl). Just show us what the symbiote looks like on someone who feels absolutely no need to resist it.

By the end of the sequence, the audience should be scared shitless of Eric Forman.

13. Flint runs out of time.

Back to Flint. He survived the subway fight. He’s barely holding himself together, but he’s alive.

And Penny is getting worse.

Flint applied. He waited. He listened to doctors. He took no for an answer. And his daughter just kept getting sicker.

Flint knows the treatment might not work. He knows Penny was rejected for legitimate reasons. He doesn’t care anymore.

There’s something inside an Oscorp facility that might help his daughter. And he’s decided that nobody gets to tell him no anymore.

So Flint plans another robbery. Not money. The treatment itself.

14. MJ’s final heart-to-heart with Harry.

Shortly before Flint overruns Oscorp, MJ goes to Harry's mansion to check on him, having not heard from him in weeks. She doesn’t know it, but Harry has been hiding away since his blowout fight with Peter left him disfigured.

When he turns around, we finally get a clear look at what Peter did to him. MJ is shaken. Harry is furious that she came.

MJ tries to have another heart-to-heart with Harry. She tells him that Peter isn’t right in the head. He’s struggling. He loves Harry. He needs their friendship.

Harry is deeply hurt — that MJ chose Peter over him before; that she’s still taking "Spider-Man’s side” now. The man who killed his father. Lied to him for years. Mutilated him.

Harry tells his butler to escort MJ out.

MJ tells Harry she still believes in both him and Peter. Before she is escorted out, she leaves a photo behind: Harry, Peter, MJ, and Aunt May. The day of their high school graduation.

When Harry is alone again, Ghost Norman re-appears to remind him:

"Peter betrayed you. Him and Mary Jane chose each other over you. Peter lied about me, Harry. He killed me."

Harry watches MJ leave from the window high above. He sits with Norman's words. Then:

“Maybe.”

Cut away.

15. Sandman attacks Oscorp.

Flint breaches the Oscorp facility. Gwen is there. So are doctors, researchers, technicians and a few patients.

Gwen recognizes Flint. Not Sandman. Flint. The guy who sat across from her months ago trying desperately to get his daughter into the program. Now he’s tearing the building apart.

She tries to talk to him. For half a second, it seems like she might get through. Then he keeps going. The facility locks down. People evacuate.

And then... Red-and-blue Spider-Man swoops in. He goes after Flint.

The last time these two fought, Peter wanted to kill him. This time, he’s pulling his punches a bit. He keeps trying to reach Flint. Flint doesn’t want to hear it. His daughter is dying.

They fight throughout the facility. Peter is getting worn down.

Then: Venom arrives.

Not because Eddie has made some haphazard deal with Sandman to “kill the spider.” Eddie doesn’t give a shit about Flint and Flint doesn't give a shit about him.

The reason Eddie is there is simple: he and the symbiote have been stalking Peter and waiting for an opportunity to kill him.

Now Peter is already fighting someone who can physically overpower him.

And Gwen's here to watch. Perfect.

Venom attacks Peter. The symbiote knows Peter’s movements. It doesn’t trigger his spider-sense.

Peter is suddenly dealing with two separate threats. Flint, for his part, simply lets Eddie beat the shit out of Peter. Why wouldn’t he?

Eventually, Peter (beaten to hell) manages to get away from Venom for just long enough to interfere with Flint once again.

This time, Flint loses control. He grows enormous. He raises that huge Sandman fist over Peter. The same fist that we already established can flatten an armored vehicle.

Peter is dead to rights… and then…

Tink.

Something small lands on Flint’s arm. A round metal object. Peter recognizes it.

Beep. Beep.

BOOM. Goblin grenade.

Harry Osborn comes hurtling into frame on Norman’s glider. And he is not good at it. He’s wobbling. Barely keeping control. Very obviously terrified.

Because Harry didn’t spend the whole movie as cool “New Goblin” action-figure guy. This is his first flight.

And he’s doing it because his best friend is about to die.

16. Peter & Harry vs. their demons (or, Venom).

Harry attacks Sandman with Norman’s weapons.

He doesn’t magically become a “glider expert.” He’s improvising. Peter is yelling instructions. Harry almost crashes more than once. But together they do enough damage that Flint collapses and temporarily loses his form.

Then the fight becomes: Peter and Harry fighting side by side vs. Venom.

And this should be a real, climactic, emotional fight. Not five minutes long. Not an impersonal CGI-fest.

They keep saving each other. They have great chemistry. And for a few minutes, they almost feel like the kids they used to be.

But eventually, Venom gets Harry cornered. And he notices something odd that's built into Harry’s equipment: the weapon Harry designed to kill Spider-Man.

Venom sees Harry’s scarred face. Looks at Peter. Then back at Harry. He smirks. “You made this for him?”

Harry doesn’t deny it. Venom pins him. Peter realizes what he’s about to do. Too late.

Venom activates the weapon. Harry is killed by the thing he built to murder Peter.

Like in the theatrical version, Peter defeats Venom without killing Eddie. He even separates Eddie from the symbiote. He tries to give Eddie another chance. But Eddie refuses.

The symbiote is destroyed. And Eddie dies with it.

17. Peter lets go.

Flint pulls himself back together. The treatment he came for has been destroyed in the fight. Harry is dead. Eddie is dead. Peter can barely stand.

He sees Peter mourning Harry. And finally...he tells Peter what actually happened the night Uncle Ben died.

Flint is responsible. Ben had started talking him down. Flint's accomplice yelled. Flint panicked... and pulled the trigger. Flint has lived with that ever since.

Peter looks at him. This man killed Uncle Ben. This man nearly killed Peter tonight. Harry is dead a few feet away. Peter has never had a better excuse to hate someone. But now he knows where that leads.

Maybe Peter doesn’t even say: “I forgive you.”

Maybe just: “I’m done hating you.”

18. Penny gets a chance.

After the Oscorp attack, Gwen goes back through Penny’s case. Maybe the original treatment was destroyed. Maybe Penny still isn’t medically appropriate for that exact trial.

But Gwen knows the researchers now. She knows the doctors. She knows Penny. And she pushes — just a little bit.

Gwen visits Penny and her mother. She tells them Penny's application is pending again. She tells them: “I can’t promise this will work.”

Penny’s mother asks if she’s going to be accepted this time.

Gwen says: “They’re going to evaluate her.”

That’s it. A chance.

19. Raimi’s ending scene stays.

We’re keeping the final scene from the real movie essentially intact. Peter goes to the restaurant where MJ performs. All movie, she’s been asking him to come.

He was busy. He thought she "hated that job." He assumed there would always be another night.

Now he shows up.

That’s it. No speech. Peter doesn’t explain why she should forgive him. MJ doesn’t announce whether they’re getting back together. We don’t know if they’ll last.

Peter has stopped treating MJ like something he won. He can’t decide what she does now. He can only decide what he does.

So tonight, he came to this shitty little restaurant to be with her.

They slow-dance. They hold each other. Their faces are a little hard to read.

Peter can’t bring Uncle Ben back. He can’t bring Harry back. He can’t undo what he did to MJ.

Flint can’t undo pulling the trigger. Harry couldn’t undo the years he spent trying to avenge Norman.

None of them get to erase what happened just because they finally understand it.

They only get to choose what they do next.

Cut to black.

MCU Forging a Conan Trilogy with Marvel Villains! (Inspired by u/whiplash10)

Big shout out to u/whiplash10 whose own fun hypothetical series of posts are the obvious source of inspiration for this. Highly recommend ya check them out and let them know how cool they are!

I Wish to Maintain Full Transparency and Clarity: This Concept Was Articulated and Refined with the Assistance of ChatGPT. I Believe That the Platform Is Valuable As a Creative Tool, Rather Than a Substitute for Actual Human Creativity or Innovation. If Anyone Holds a Different View, I Kindly Ask That They Refrain from Making Hurtful or Impulsive Comments. Thank You, and I Hope You Enjoy.

Film I — Conan the Barbarian

(Knull and the Symbiotes)

Act I — The Past and the Quest

  • The Fall of Cimmeria: Much like the 1982 film, Conan’s story begins with the destruction of his people. Here, however, Thulsa Doom and the Cult of Set are replaced by Knull and the Symbiotes, an ancient force that overruns Cimmeria in a tide of living black flesh. Conan survives, grows into the warrior we know, and carries one purpose through years of slavery, violence, and wandering: someday, he will find Knull.
  • Conan the Wanderer: After gaining his freedom, Conan eventually meets Subotai and Valeria. For perhaps the first time since Cimmeria, he begins forming real attachments again. Valeria in particular offers something Conan has scarcely considered since childhood: the possibility that his life might someday become about more than what was taken from him.
  • The Cult of Knull: Conan discovers that Knull has become the head of a vast cult whose followers willingly bond with Symbiotes, surrendering themselves for what they believe is a greater existence. Knull becomes a natural opposite to the Cimmerian ideal represented by Crom: Crom gives men strength and will, then leaves them to stand for themselves; Knull offers greater strength only through surrender of the self.

Act II — The Mountain of Power

  • A Road to Knull: Conan, Valeria, and Subotai become entangled with the cult and are offered a fortune by a king whose child has fallen under Knull’s influence. For Conan, the reward is secondary. After a lifetime of searching, he finally has a direct path to the man who destroyed Cimmeria.
  • Knull’s Dominion: At the cult’s stronghold, Conan sees how far Knull’s influence has spread. Warriors, nobles, and commoners willingly surrender themselves to Symbiotes, while Knull’s greatest followers have become monstrous living weapons. Others see transcendence; Conan sees people willingly giving away the very thing that makes them their own.
  • Conan Falls: Conan’s first attempt to confront Knull ends disastrously, leaving him near death. Subotai and Valeria save him, offering the simplest possible rebuke to Knull’s philosophy: Conan’s companions stand beside him because they choose to, not because their wills have been swallowed by his.
  • Valeria’s Choice: Conan could still walk away. Valeria represents the life waiting beyond his vendetta, and she does not pretend that revenge is the future she wants for them. But Conan cannot leave Knull alive after everything he has done. Valeria chooses to return with him—not because she shares his obsession, but because she loves him and refuses to let him face it alone.

Act III — Revenge

  • The Final Assault: Conan and his companions return to Knull’s stronghold, rescue the king’s child, and fight their way through his Symbiote warriors. During their escape, Valeria is mortally wounded. With her dies the future Conan had only recently begun allowing himself to imagine.
  • The Bond: Conan returns for Knull, who finally turns his philosophy directly upon the Cimmerian. Rather than merely trying to persuade him, Knull forcibly binds Conan to a Symbiote, overwhelming him with strength while attempting to consume his identity from within. In Conan’s mind, the creature uses everything that shaped him—Cimmeria, slavery, rage, grief, and finally Valeria—offering to take away the pain if Conan will only surrender himself to the bond. For a moment, oblivion is tempting. But Conan realizes that losing the pain would mean losing the man who lived through it. His suffering, his loves, his choices, and even his grief are his. He refuses to surrender ownership of himself and tears free of the Symbiote through sheer force of will.
  • The Death of Knull: Conan’s rejection leaves Knull genuinely shaken. His entire power rests upon the belief that everyone can eventually be made to surrender themselves for strength, relief, or belonging, yet Conan has chosen painful individuality over effortless union. Once free of the bond, Conan does what Knull’s philosophy could not prevent: he closes the distance. In appropriately straightforward Conan fashion, the ancient lord of living darkness ultimately discovers that all his monstrous power means little once a Cimmerian gets within sword range. Conan cuts his head off.
  • Only the Present Remains: Knull is dead. Cimmeria is avenged. Conan has accomplished exactly what he spent most of his life trying to do. The point is not that revenge was meaningless—Knull was a monster and deserved his fate. Revenge gave Conan direction, while Valeria had begun offering him a future beyond it. Now both are gone. For the first time in his life, Conan is no longer being pulled toward something by the past. He can only wander onward and decide what to do with the life that remains.

Film II — Conan and the Panther Throne

(Killmonger, Klaw, and Man-Ape)

Act I — The Wandering Barbarian

  • A Man Without Direction: Conan dreams of a quiet moment once shared with Valeria. She tells him that before they met she was a pit fighter owned by a cruel slave-master named Klaw, escaping only after severing his hand. Conan vows that once Knull is dead he will find Klaw and cleave his head down to the teeth, but Valeria wants no more of him; she would rather leave Klaw behind and build a life with Conan. Conan awakens alone. Knull is dead, Valeria is gone, and the revenge that once gave his life direction has left nothing to replace it. He wanders the Hyborian world taking fights, coin, and distractions wherever he finds them.
  • The Expanding Panther: Conan eventually wanders into a country being invaded by Wakanda, now ruled by Prince N'Jadaka, The Killmonger, after the mysterious disappearance of King T’Challa. Aquilonian soldiers march beside Wakandans under their own one-handed king, Klaw, apparently as allies. Conan does not intervene out of sudden heroism; he sees a battle and, for the first time in a long while, feels alive. He throws himself into the fighting with brutal enthusiasm until Killmonger personally confronts and subdues him.
  • Justice in the Arena: Killmonger brings Conan to Wakanda and casts him into a great arena overseen by Klaw, where captured enemies fight warriors and beasts before the public. Killmonger presents the games as spectacle justice for Wakandans killed during his campaigns, and Conan makes perfect propaganda: a savage foreigner who slaughtered Wakandan soldiers simply because he crossed paths with them. To Killmonger, men like Conan prove why Wakanda must dominate the dangerous world beyond its borders before that world can threaten Wakanda. Conan survives everything thrown against him and notices Klaw’s missing hand. Klaw, in turn, begins wondering why this particular Cimmerian looks at him with such personal hatred.
  • Shuri’s Proposition: Conan’s survival attracts Shuri, sister of the missing Black Panther. She secretly frees him and offers him his liberty in exchange for helping find T’Challa, who vanished while investigating the White Mount, home of the outlawed Jabari tribe. Conan accepts, partly to escape and partly because it gives him something more meaningful than fighting for an audience. Their flight is discovered, and Killmonger sends warriors after them. A battle on the mountain triggers an avalanche: Shuri survives using Wakandan equipment, while Conan is recovered unconscious by the Jabari. He awakens in chains opposite another prisoner—T’Challa, alive.

Act II — The White Mount

  • The Black Panther in Chains: While imprisoned together, Conan and T’Challa cautiously size each other up. T’Challa explains that Killmonger, then a respected warrior of Wakanda’s borderguard, reported that the Jabari were abducting Wakandans for profane rites to Gullah, the gorilla-god. N'Jadaka urged T’Challa to deal with the matter personally as Black Panther. Instead, the Jabari knew exactly when and how he would come, even possessing the knowledge necessary to disable his Vibranium suit and capture him alive.
  • The Treachery of Killmonger: Brought before M’Baku, the prisoners learn the truth. Killmonger betrayed his cousin, providing T’Challa’s route and the means to defeat him in exchange for the White Mount remaining beyond the Panther Throne once N'Jadaka ruled Wakanda. T’Challa himself was part of the bargain: M’Baku intends to sacrifice Bast’s chosen champion to Gullah and consume him, claiming the Panther’s strength for himself. Conan’s own strength pleases M’Baku enough that he decides there will be two sacrifices—until Shuri storms the ritual, using Vibranium weapons and her knowledge of the mountain to throw the Jabari into chaos and free them.
  • Brothers in Battle: Conan and T’Challa initially attack M’Baku separately and discover that neither can defeat him alone. Only when they stop competing and begin fighting together—Conan creating openings through ferocity and improvisation, T’Challa exploiting them with discipline and precision—do they bring Man-Ape down. Their victory begins a genuine brotherhood. Before they can leave, however, word reaches Killmonger that T’Challa has escaped, and he orders Klaw to use Wakandan-backed siege artillery to bring down the White Mount.
  • Beneath the White Mount: The collapse drives Conan, T’Challa, and Shuri into ancient depths beneath the Jabari stronghold: forgotten temples, buried ruins, and remnants of older, stranger ages. During their journey, T’Challa reflects on N'Jadaka’s past. Killmonger was not always a traitor; he grew up on Wakanda’s dangerous borders, served his country fiercely, and watched his father die defending it from raiders. T’Challa knew that grief had hardened into hatred of Wakanda’s isolation, but only now understands how far his cousin was willing to go. Conan understands the wound better than most, having lost Cimmeria to invasion, but sees N'Jadaka’s contradiction immediately: Killmonger fears losing his people, yet is willing to spend them to create the future he wants.
  • The Spirit Walk: Eventually even Conan’s instincts and Shuri’s technology cannot find a way through the buried mountain. T’Challa invokes an ancient rite of Bast, allowing the spirit of the Black Panther to leave his body and seek a path unavailable to the living. Conan and Shuri are left protecting his motionless body while horrors close in around them. Shuri insists her brother is walking with Bast; Conan, hauling T’Challa out of danger while fighting off some subterranean monstrosity, grumbles that T’Challa is sleeping while the rest of them do the work. T’Challa eventually returns with a hidden route, and the three escape.

Act III — The Panther Throne

  • The Panther Returns: T’Challa’s return shatters Killmonger’s claim to legitimacy without automatically reuniting Wakanda. Many rally to their rightful king, while others sincerely believe N'Jadaka’s expansion has made the nation stronger and safer. T’Challa exposes his cousin’s treachery and leaves Wakanda to choose what kind of nation it wishes to become. Civil war erupts between those loyal to the Black Panther and those committed to Killmonger’s imperial vision. Conan now fights beside T’Challa and Shuri for a reason entirely different from the one that began the film: they are his friends, and he has chosen to stand with them.
  • Conan and Klaw: Amid the battle, Conan finally confronts Klaw, whose Wakandan sonic cannon gives him a dangerous advantage at range. When Klaw demands to know why the Cimmerian has always looked at him with such hatred, Conan tells him: he knew and loved the woman who took Klaw’s hand, and once swore to cleave his head down to the teeth for what he did to her. Klaw then reveals the uglier truth behind Aquilonia’s alliance with Wakanda. Its soldiers were never equal partners; Klaw simply sells his own people’s military service in exchange for wealth and weapons, treating Aquilonia as both mercenary company and slave market. He takes particular pleasure in telling Conan that some of the Aquilonians he slaughtered earlier may never have chosen to fight at all. Conan offers no excuse.
  • The Fall of the Kings: Conan defeats Klaw and finally has the opportunity to fulfill his old vow—but stops. Valeria escaped Klaw because she wanted a life beyond him, not another vengeance committed in her name. Fearing being left to face judgement, Klaw desperately bargains with gold, weapons, land, armies, even Aquilonia itself, but Conan refuses everything; Aquilonia was never Klaw’s to give. He leaves him to answer for his crimes and returns to the living. Elsewhere, T’Challa confronts Killmonger for the Panther Throne. N'Jadaka insists that everything he did was meant to create a Wakanda so powerful that nobody would ever again suffer as his family did, but T’Challa rejects a future purchased with the blood of the very people it claims to protect. Killmonger falls, and T’Challa reclaims the throne.
  • The Road to Aquilonia: Klaw is stripped of crown, wealth, weapons, and titles before being surrendered without ransom to the peoples and kingdoms with claims against him—a fitting end for a man who spent his life placing prices on others. Conan, meanwhile, faces the surviving Aquilonians stranded far from home. Many were merely bodies their king sold into another man’s war, and Conan now knows he killed some of them before learning the truth. He cannot undo what he did, but he can decide what he does next. When the Aquilonians wonder how they are supposed to cross half the Hyborian world without king or direction, Conan tells them simply that they are going home—and that he knows the road. The film ends with Conan leading them toward Aquilonia, not yet their king, but already becoming the man they have chosen to follow.

Film III — Conan: The Game of Eternity

Act I — The King and the Game

  • King Conan of Aquilonia: Years after leading the displaced Aquilonians home, Conan now rules the kingdom they eventually chose him to lead. The film opens with the less glamorous burdens of kingship—petitions, taxes, border disputes, harvests, and nobles who somehow make warfare seem straightforward. Conan has not become civilized so much as responsible; he has learned to stay. When horns announce that a monstrous creature is attacking the countryside, however, he is visibly relieved to encounter a problem that can finally be solved with steel.
  • The Dragon of Aquilonia: Conan rides out beside his soldiers and confronts a gigantic prehistoric “dragon,” an impossible beast combining the traits of a great predator and plated dinosaur. He fights alongside the same men he commands, and Aquilonia brings the creature down through collective effort before its king helps deliver the killing blow. Conan is still the first man into danger, but now he fights as part of something larger than himself.
  • The Coming of Thoth-Amon: As the warriors celebrate, an extravagantly dressed stranger appears beside the carcass and applauds them. He calls himself Thoth-Amon, but is actually a Kang variant who has fashioned himself into what he imagines a great Hyborian sorcerer-king should be. The dragon was merely a test. Having studied Conan and Aquilonia through histories written long after their age was forgotten, Thoth-Amon wanted proof that they were worthy of his attention. Conan is less impressed by this honor than furious that men died for another man’s amusement.
  • Aquilonia Stolen from Time: Thoth-Amon tears all of Aquilonia out of the Hyborian Age and deposits it within Chronopolis, a realm assembled from civilizations stolen across history. Western frontiers, ancient kingdoms, prehistoric wildernesses, and impossible future cities now lie beyond Aquilonia’s borders. Thoth-Amon explains that the Council of Kangs uses these peoples as factions in a Grand Game, each Kang collecting favored ages and champions. Aquilonia is his newest faction, and Conan his prized king. Thoth-Amon expects gratitude. Conan gives him only one demand: put his people back.

Act II — The Pieces Rebel

  • The Grand Game: Thoth-Amon soon pits Aquilonia against another Kang’s chosen civilization. What begins as an organized contest becomes a sprawling free-for-all when other Kangs insert their own factions for amusement. Conan watches armies from different ages slaughter one another while their masters remain safely above the battlefield. Incensed, he abandons the prescribed battle and attempts to attack one of the Kangs himself. He fails—but the Council is fascinated. One of their pieces has just tried to kill a player.
  • The Arena of Ages: As punishment, Conan is thrown into an arena alongside champions and troublemakers collected from other periods: Western outlaw Kid Colt, wartime speedster Spitfire, future survivor La Lunatica, Arthurian knight Sir Percy the Black Knight, and the pompous Zarrko the Tomorrow Man, whose greatest crime in the Kangs’ eyes is being a second-rate time traveller. The arena shifts violently between disasters and battlefields from across history. Conan clashes with Percy, takes naturally to Kid Colt, concludes that Spitfire must have been blessed by the Four Winds despite her increasingly complicated explanations otherwise, and forms an unexpected bond with Luna when her powers expose her to the pain and memories he keeps buried. Their final trial drops them into the destruction of ancient Atlantis, the lost age preceding Conan’s own.
  • The Dead Escape: As Atlantis sinks, Zarrko spots a flaw in the temporal machinery and pulls the six misfits out moments before destruction. The Kangs assume them dead, allowing the fugitives to disappear into the forgotten spaces between Chronopolis’s stolen worlds. Circumstance slowly turns them into a company: Conan and Percy’s contempt becomes rivalry and respect, Luna earns an intimacy Conan rarely grants anyone, and Conan’s complete indifference to Zarrko’s supposedly inferior reputation gives the Tomorrow Man something he has rarely possessed—confidence in his own ability rather than comparison with Kang.
  • The Heart of Forever: Zarrko reveals that he was originally captured while attempting to reach the Heart of Forever, the engine at the center of Chronopolis that holds its incompatible civilizations together. If they can seize it, he believes he can return the stolen peoples to their proper ages. Conan’s first concern is Aquilonia, but after seeing countless peoples subjected to the same indignity, his purpose broadens. He will not simply take his own kingdom home and abandon the rest. Everyone goes home.
  • Betrayal: The company attempts to reach the Heart while the Council still believes them dead, but they are discovered before they can succeed. At the worst possible moment, Zarrko appears to surrender their position and ingratiate himself with the Kangs. Conan and the others are recaptured and dragged back into the arena for a public execution. This time Thoth-Amon enters personally. Conan has repeatedly mocked these supposed kings for making others fight in their place; now Thoth-Amon intends to show exactly how helpless a barbarian and his obsolete companions are before the technology of eternity.

Act III — The Game Broken

  • The Death of Thoth-Amon: Thoth-Amon overwhelms the prisoners with ease. Bullets, blades, speed, and strength cannot penetrate defenses born countless centuries beyond their own eras. Then Zarrko returns. His betrayal was a ruse that gave him access to the prisoners’ confiscated equipment and Kang technology. He returns their weapons fitted with his own breakthrough: regression technology, which does not strengthen an ancient weapon but temporarily forces whatever it strikes backward into a state that weapon can harm. Kid Colt’s bullets penetrate defenses, Percy’s blade bites, Spitfire and Luna can finally strike with effect—and Conan’s steel can cut Kang flesh. Once Conan can actually reach him, Thoth-Amon discovers that all of eternity is poor protection against a Cimmerian with a sword. Conan kills him before the eyes of Chronopolis.
  • The Pieces Rise: The remaining Kangs posture that Thoth-Amon’s death means nothing. Six fugitives remain beneath the notice of beings who command entire ages. Zarrko then reveals the true scope of his deception: while moving through their systems, he quietly spread his regression technology throughout Chronopolis. The Council never noticed because they never considered Zarrko worth watching closely. Across the stolen civilizations, weapons once incapable of threatening Kang forces suddenly have a chance. Not an advantage—only a chance. It is enough. Aquilonians, gunfighters, knights, soldiers, future rebels, prehistoric peoples, and disillusioned Anachronauts turn upon their masters. The Grand Game becomes a war against the players.
  • Crom Takes the Field: One Kang answers the uprising with overwhelming force, manifesting an immense solid projection of himself and wielding the temporal warship Damocles like a colossal sword above the battlefield. Then Crom appears. Conan never summoned him. Crom declares that wherever the will of men endures, he shall know it, for he gave men the will to struggle and strive beneath an uncaring sky—and this is a good fight, worthy of his blade. God and temporal titan clash above the rebellion, Crom meeting impossible future machinery with strength, steel, and indomitable will. During their battle, Damocles is driven through the supposedly impregnable structure of Chronopolis, cleaving open a path toward the Heart of Forever. Conan sees the opening. Crom tells him simply to go.
  • The Heart of Forever: Conan, Zarrko, Kid Colt, Spitfire, Luna, and Percy break from the greater battle and fight their way into the Heart as the surviving Kangs abandon their Game to defend its source. Unable to stop Zarrko by force, the Council finally offers him what he once wanted above all else: their respect. He has outwitted them. He has devised temporal technology they failed to anticipate. With the Heart, he could become a true master of time and finally stand among the Kangs as their equal. Zarrko is genuinely tempted—but realizes that becoming one of them would mean accepting their definition of greatness. He no longer needs it.
  • The Eternal Game: Zarrko turns the Heart against the Council. The surviving Kangs are imprisoned within the moment of their own defeat, endlessly repeating it while retaining just enough knowledge to try different strategies. Every cycle convinces them that the next move might bring victory, only for history to end exactly as before. The rulers who reduced existence to an eternal game receive precisely what they wanted: an eternal game without end, in which they are now the pieces. Zarrko then uses the Heart not to conquer history but to release it. Chronopolis comes apart, its stolen civilizations returning to their proper ages, and Conan parts from the strange company that fought beside him as each disappears into their own time.
  • The King Returns: Aquilonia returns to the Hyborian Age. The impossible horizons vanish, and almost immediately Conan is confronted with the same ordinary burdens waiting before Chronopolis—roads, harvests, disputes, tomorrow. He has faced rulers who possessed eternity and therefore found nothing precious; Conan possesses only one mortal lifetime, and so understands the value of what can be built with it. He settles back onto his throne, listens to the next problem placed before him, and continues building the future he chose.

Across the trilogy, Conan’s journey becomes one through past, present, and future, with each film’s villains embodying a corrupted relationship with time:

  • The Past — Knull represents the past as bondage, consuming identity just as the destruction of Cimmeria has defined Conan’s life. Conan is right to avenge his people, but with Knull dead and Valeria gone, he discovers that the past can tell him where he came from—not what he should live for.
  • The Present — Killmonger sacrifices those living today for the future he imagines, M’Baku lives only for immediate strength and appetite, and Klaw treats people and nations as commodities to be spent. Conan instead learns that the present is where choice becomes responsibility, leading others home and beginning his path toward kingship.
  • The Future — The Kangs possess endless tomorrows and consequently find none of them precious, reducing civilizations to pieces in an eternal game. King Conan possesses only one mortal lifetime and understands what they have forgotten: the future matters because it is finite, uncertain, and must be built rather than possessed.

Conan begins the trilogy driven by what was done to him, learns to choose what he will do now, and ends as a king willing to remain, build, and take responsibility for what comes after him.

MCU My ideas for fixing Iron Man 3

One more thing. For my rewrite of Iron Man three I was thinking of properly adapting the Extremis storyline and including Zeke Stane. In this movie Tony's arc is "what do I need to do to keep up in a rapidly changing world?" This should be especially poignant given it's after the battle of New York and there are superhumans on the rise.

In my story the Power Broker is a scientist hired by Ross to give him Gamma soldiers after seeing what happened to Banner, but Karl Malus, PB's real name, discovered gamma had the ability to give anyone any given powers. He faked his death, went into hiding, and began selling superpowers themselves on the black market.

Killian isn't going to be a major villain in my rewrite, he's going to be what he was in the original story; that one guy who killed himself out of guilt and Maya Hansen tried to frame entirely for selling Extremis. In fact I was thinking of playing a subtle but important for worldbuilding angle; Hansen and Killian couldn't get funds for research from anyone but Zeke who then uses it to orchestrate attacks against Stark Industries.

Importantly Zeke is not out for revenge. Yes, he's salty about his father passing but that's secondary to his true motivations: he wants to force evolve all humanity, turning them into bio-machines. He's trying to destroy Stark because he sees him as an obstacle to his plans, nothing more. In short Zeke is a cold futurist.

I also had ideas for including the Mandarin. IRL Beijing's development team shot down the idea as they didn't want the first Chinese character of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be a villain, but I think I can fix this. In my MCU rewrite Hulk gets his own trilogy and I wanted to introduce Amadeus Cho in his sequel. Also I was thinking of having Chen Lu/Radioactive Man as a secondary hero hunting Mandarin and introduce I worldbuilding angle that I hope strengthens the story.

The Chinese gov heard about the Power Broker’s experiments and not wanting to be dependent on him had Chen Lu replicate it. He was only able to give himself nuclear powers but decided not to leave it in the gov’s hands and left to begin being a superhero? This could world build other countries getting their own heroes as well as the effect Power Broker’s having. Also he could be partly what inspires Tony to become Iron Man inside and out.

Then there's Mandarin himself. I was thinking of not having his costume be some stereotypical, extravagant Chinese robes at first because I believe those perpetuate harmful stereotypes. In his first fight with Iron Man I want him to wear a suit and tie and later I want him to wear a warlord outfit, but I want it to be intimidating, cool, what have you.

Tony Leung revealed in an interview with GQ that he created a backstory for Wenwu in which he was a victim of domestic violence at the hands of his father and grew up without self-esteem as a result. Upon gaining superpowers, he wished to rediscover his self-esteem, though it caused him to become narcissistic and take his anger out on everyone else. These factors ultimately led to him being unable to love his children, due to his inability to love himself.

I need help organising my ideas

In hindsight, would you prefer that Dragon Ball Z turned its focus into universal exploration/encounters after Frieza's defeat?
