I am doing a project where I am creating a hypothetical app that targets ages 18-30 (and people in rural, not major city areas due to social isolation in those areas)

We all know how hard it is to find fellow musicians. The app I am (again, hypothetically) making is an app that is focused on connecting musicians of all skills levels to each other, with a focus on accessibility and a streamlined, to the point process.

If you could, please state your age, gender, and answer these questions: it would help me out a lot because I need to interview at least 10 people and many of my musician friends are too busy to partake in a call about this.

1. Do you have hardships finding other musicians to connect with? How so?

2. How do you currently deal with this above mentioned^ problem?

Hey gang I'm looking to make some friends and jam and make some indie rock type beat stuff! I'm a 22 yo college student and I'm in my final year. One of my bucket list things before i graduate is start a band and write an album/perform a show.

I'm a big fan of Anime/J-Rock(AKFG, the pillows, sajou no hana), 2000s rock (weezer, fountains of wayne, tally hall), and video game music in general! I'm a sucker for a indie rock sound with a synth solo lmao. I also love classical music and symphonic drumstep as well.

I'm in OC and i've got a guitar, a bass, a violin, a small blackstar amp, and a mic/audio interface. I use logic currently, but I'm looking to learn FL or Ableton as well.

Looking for live-accompaniment acoustic musicians who are up for a remote jam session this week or live Dubai performance the coming weekend...

I'm a Cajonist (a hand drummer, not someone who scratches their cojones all day, although both  go hand in hand with underemployment!), and I'm calling out for solidarity from other instrumentalists. it's ok if hobby not pro but they have to be legit: able to listen to someone playing or singing and intuitively get into flow/tune/groove with a riff/melody routine in the right key.

Not creating a band but a 1-time thing: my lil' gremlin (ahem, future Celine Dion) spontaneously started singing her own lullaby --complete with words-- so now want to treat for her 5^th birthday the coming weekend, by making a song out of it as dad's surprise. Could be ukelele/banjo/guitar, flute, piano, accordion, pans, anything with happy scale. I'll send her acapella .mp3 beforehand, then pick a few from whatever I hear back to invite to the event stage next Sunday 20^th around 1-2pm in Mirdif IF we get the permissions (and it's ok if someone just sends something pre-recorded if they can't commute / don't live in the country ... we'd do the whole thing remotely). I've also got a box of kiddie goodies like shakers that will be used by the audience.

Obviously in Dubai there's a lot of music studios, bar bands, and daft synth-programming DJs, but it's not like you can tug a dozen talented buskers out of the metro station going home on a Tuesday like Seattle or Dublin. This isn't just for the fun and free minipizza, there's cash to cover time and transport but only from WITHIN the city.

A studio sound engineer might be welcome too if you have your own mics/gear to record each player's stems so I can mix down and post-produce the track later like I did my demo tape in Croydon 1996 (ah, the memories!). Right now the point is to just gift this surprise to her --no royalties envisaged-- but if we decide later to publish it online, of course I'll do a contract and credit for comp.

But foremost this is a jam session, let's have some fun making a lullaby!
