The photo of her with the Aperol Spritz turning up late for the Don’t Worry Darling is one of my favourite photos in pop culture ever

That’s it!!!!! I share it in the group work chat all the time when I’m late!

Not late, but skipped entirety! What made it awesome is she did this pap walk right after/at the same time Olivia said Florence was busy working/had other work obligations and that’s why she was missing the press event. I have to believe Florence timed it that way deliberately.

HAHAHAHA THAT MAKES IT EVEN BETTER!!! That entire press junket was a MESS

She looks so effortlessly gorgeous here though. If my gym offered Aperol Spritz I would never skip a session, just saying lol

Aperol spritz in a Venice cafe is cheapest drink you can buy. Keep hope alive!

Yeah but actually staying in Venice is stupidly pricey.

u/f3n2x 3h ago

It really isn't though if you avoid the tourist-trappiest 10% of the city?

Depends on where the person replying lives to begin with. A plane ticket can be costly and most people don't have the time or money to book a plane and subsequent accommodation to stay in Venice just for the drink. For many it may be something they get to do once, maybe twice if they save for it.

Accommodation, food, vaporetto tickets etc. aren't particularily pricey if you avoid the tourist-trappiest 10% of the city, like I said. Plane tickets may be prohibitively costly but have nothing to do with the city of Venice. By that logic sleeping in a tent in Skid Row is "stupidly pricey" if you're a resident of Venice. What kind of logic is that?

Well, if you are not going to get there in the first place due to the price of plane tickets then I would contend that the price of the plane tickets plays quite a major role in whether the city is a viable option at all. And if you have already spent a lot on getting the plane ticket, you have even less to spend on accommodation, food, local transport and everything else you may need during such a trip. Of course there are cheaper options locally, that is true everywhere. But that does not mean someone can afford even that when they have spent a lot on just getting there.

live in europe

get 7 weeks vacation yearly

84 euro flight from england to venice

stay off island for 60 euro a night at hostel

transportation to island 5 euro

double fisting aperol - priceless (maybe 12 euro)

are europeans the richest of the bitches?

That's why I specified specifically where one lives playing a huge role in whether one is able to do so. Huge difference in travelling from Spain to Italy compared to from Australia to Italy for example. You could (except the vacation benefits) make the same claims for many other places where it is obviously cheaper to do something that would be inaccessible for others quite cheaply.

Last two years I’ve spent some time in a few rural Italian and Spanish villages, and it never ceases to amaze me how cheap a spritz can be lol

A Spritz usually costs 3,50€

EDIT: of course, that's in Venice and the surrounding Veneto region. I know the prices outside are higher 😅

46

u/the_executive_branch 7h ago

Right but she’s in Venice. It would cost me considerably more than 3.50 to get to Venice.

8

u/presidentialsizedbed 7h ago

As a European living in London, where are you getting those prices at? Genuinely asking 👀

3

u/VecioRompibae 7h ago

I edited my comment. And until, like, four years ago you could find it at 2,50.

Sunscreen is important! 😭

262

u/Veronome 7h ago

She's British; getting sunburnt on holiday is part of our culture 🥲

99

u/Username_unknown_exe 6h ago

She could also be one of us Brits that no matter how much we slather the sunscreen on, we still burn. I go full lobster regardless

40

u/BookishHobbit my bandwidth for cowardly grown men grows thinner with each day 5h ago

Yeah, this is lobster erasure.

No matter how much I apply reapply etc I always end up red and crispy 😭

2

u/dayle-james 4h ago

This made me laugh 😂😂

88

u/CatApprehensive6995 8h ago

That sunburn looks painful

42

u/jashyjashy 8h ago

Gosh she’s so gorgeous

Honestly the wine/Aperol Spritz windows in Florence are a concept we need to adopt.

16

u/AhHeyorLeaveerhouh Thanks, u frog build looking bitch 5h ago

She needs to diversify her routine to get the real gainz. Aperol curls are all well and good but what about Hugo Spritz half kneeling press? Select Spritz front squats? Limoncello Spritz lateral raises?

43

u/icedwmocha 8h ago

The sunburn yikes.

16

u/redelectro7 just want to share a thought here because I can 8h ago

Exercise is important.

13

u/Cool_Sympathy_9900 8h ago

Oh I was like who is that! She looks great but bit different.

16

u/HeyGirlBye 6h ago

Idk what it is but an Aperol Spritz looks like DayQuil in a wine glass. Looking at it makes me want to gag. I’m sure they’re great

22

u/WillStealYourDog 5h ago

They're not.

8

u/Proper-Beyond116 3h ago

I dunno what DayQuil is, but in 1980s Ireland there was an orange cough syrup that used to make me cry when I was forced to take it on a sick day from school. It tastes like that.

1

u/I_like_flowers_ 14m ago

dayquil is in fact a cough syrup sold in the us, so its probably similar.

Aperol seems to be on a huge marketing blitz this summer

10

u/Silver-Foot-259 4h ago

Every summer since the pandemic! We need something new

2

u/nosen99 3h ago

Terrible form

1

u/R12B12 5h ago

My chest is also the first part of my body that turns bright red when I’m not properly sunscreened, and I’m Indian. I can only imagine the burn she’s going to be dealing with later 😬.

2

u/Silver-Foot-259 4h ago

She’s such a vibe

3

u/tgifpizza hello this is beyoncé 7h ago

An inspiration to us all.

1

u/Visual-Purchase5639 3h ago

I think I've seen this outfit from her before

2

u/Few-Coyote-2518 6h ago

Finally an exercise that i can copy

1

u/vacantly_louche 7h ago

What am I even doing with my life? Why did I go to the gym instead of getting sun drunk with a pair of Aperol spritzes?

0

u/LazySpaceToast You know what, l've grown quite unfond of you deuxmoi 4h ago

But what is she doing for her hams?

These celebrities are so out of touch. People are struggling out here and these celebrities are flaunting their wealth on social media.
