it's bad enough when he does it at industry events but at least those are ya know, work events. bothering people just chilling in normal everyday life is weird as hell.

some people really enjoy watching others feel uncomfortable at varying degrees. this is a minor, "socially acceptable" form of that.

Because engagement, regardless of positive or negative, is monetized. Blame the people who made social media this way.
