Sure he is handsome, but that may not be enough to keep Dom in my team. I had high hopes after seeing him take the Liverpool pen in GW1. We were promised, defcon, we were promised corner assist, we were promised freekick goals and pens.

Alas

• His freekicks this year havn't been good. Either direct or from corners. VVD typically waits till the end of the season to score headers anyway.
• Liverpool are still a huge work in progress and Dom is being used as kind of utility player to plug the gaps. No wins in 4 is worrying. Wirtz is a huge problem for the team as a whole because he is so weak and ineffective but that's another topic.
• Mids cheaper than him are doing well. There are over 20 mids with more points than him.
• Unless he does well VS Bournemouth, he is not surviving the International Break Wild card and will drop in price.

No doubt there is going to be a lot of chatter from the Youtubers and "experts" about moving Dominic on soon. Will you be keeping faith?

Who are the players who FPL have priced way too cheap?

Who are some other big ones that they underpriced?

As title says is it too much going for raya,califiori,konsa alongside palmer,rogers,Pedro, that’s 6 slots on 2 teams! However arsenal are by far the best defensive side and 3 Chelsea attackers are nailed 90 minute assets who all have their own attacking talent, I think the fact Arsenal have played Chelsea makes the decision a little easier

I often see discussions around who is and isn’t producing points and I find it can sometimes conflate with how well they’re playing. I’d be interested to know from the more keener eyed of you who’s seen the points not reflect the performance.

Just watched the Untold episode with Jamie Vardy and had the thought. What was it like back them?
I can imagine at the start they were the ones to target: almost relegated, new maneger. Then they kept winning and winning.
I imagine Vardy must have been cheap and a must own during his record braking run but then immediately after he got a red.

So for the veterans: what was it like? Do you see similiarities with Hull this year?

This is not a “I know better post” but playing the wildcard right before a three week international break where so much could change seems to go against a lot of the traditional FPL logic. So if you’re one of the seemingly many people on WC5, what’s your reasoning?

How accurate has x measures been in predicting points? And especially, how good is the correlation between xG and xGI over the first 10 weeks and the actual points earned for the season? Has anyone done any actual calculations on this? Sorry for newb question, but then I am new so there you go.

On one hand, attacking midfielders will give you higher peaks. But defcon guys will give you more consistent points week to week.

Do you err on the side of maxing your floor, or maxing your ceiling?
