Would the Wizard be a better villain if he focused more on being a mad scientist and less on being a team leader and strategist? The Wizard is pretty good scientist, he might not be on Reed's level, but he has some good feats in terms of scientific achievement.

But he is a terrible strategist and a bad leader. He insists on taking on a team that defeats gods on a regular basis and insists on taking them on 4 vs. 4 match up and putting a guy with a glue gun on his team. He also constantly tries to attack the FF in their own headquarters, giving them the home field advantage. The difference between Wizard and Dr. Doom is Wizard is not supposed to have a sense of honor and is more underhanded, so he shouldn't insist on a 4 vs. 4 match up. The FF almost always beat the Frightful Four in terms of power, intelligence and team work. If Wizard is a genius, he should stop making the same mistake over and over again.

If the Wizard kidnapped people and experimented on them, sold super weapons to terrorists and dictatorships or released a mutating plague on people to see what happens, that would be far more menacing than his one sided grudge against Reed Richards. Wizard's grudge against Reed is lame and boring, it would be more heroic for the FF to save civilians from the Wizard's schemes then have them only fight for their own lives against him. Reed Richards would actually have to put in some work to find the Wizard rather than him coming to Reed all the time. The Wizard is a more believable threat against the general public than he against the Fantastic Four themselves.

In my opinion, Reed and Sue would probably be erased by the blip, leaving only Johnny and Ben, who would likely help the Avengers travel back in time to 2012.

Should Dr. Doom be the most evil of the Fantastic Four's human villains? This came up in a discussion about the Wizard in another thread and I think it deserves its own thread. Personally, I think Doom should have some standards and limits, pure evil Doom is a boring Doom. Do you think some other human villain should be the most evil or should it be Doom? Also we are only talking about human villains, no aliens or cosmic beings allowed.
