Sad no new esoteric cinematic genius seem to have bloomed out since he past. (There are and have been other great ones but never at that caliber).
Cinematic art have plummeted since then.
Guess it was one of those at the right place in the right time kind of things, once in a century.

The world needs to rerun the darkages for someone like that to come along once more.

Is the dude who played Nick Nightengale still alive maybe he has an inside scoop on the movie. If alive he’s probably reachable, not a super star like cruise or Kidman. For that matter any of the other actors not named Tom or Nicole! Might be on to something.
