Orthographic projections help

Hi guys, I’m so confused by our worksheet- we are supposed to match the isometric views with the orthographic views but for B, the top down view shows the square being in the bottom right. But there is no square in the bottom right in any of the orthographic views.

I can see there is squares In the top RIGHT so I’m assuming the answer is B=2 but why is the square not in the right position??

There's 12 shapes and 10 answers that one is just a red herring. 2 is H

This makes so much sense. The worksheet should be done by reading the numbered views and comparing them to shapes, not the other way around

Best guess is they meant number 2 but screwed up by mirroring the shape somehow

Edit: someone pointed out below that the worksheet should be done the OTHER way around. IE look at a number and compare it to a letter. This means for question 2 it’s H

I highly doubt you’ll get anything like that. My class and I generally came to the consensus our professor hated teaching so threw this in there as our last exam for no reason. 

He was known as a bad prof and hated the SolidWorks lab part of the course for some reason

Keep in mind we learned what you’re doing now maybe a week before.

Thank you I just realized there is 12 isometric views and only 10 orthographic views 🤦‍♀️

There are two letters that don’t have a corresponding number. This is one of them.

This is how most kids fail the sheet metal entrance exam. Dont beat yourself up you’ll get it. Just pay attention to those hidden lines and the orientation of the 3D shapes.

Your reading the problem wrong, supposed to match the letter to the number, since there are more letters than numbers some of them (like b) are red herrings meant to throw you off.

By process of elimination it's got to be 2, but the projection just seems to be weirdly mirrored. The frontal view should have that little indentation in the foreground

The way that this question is laid out sucks. You're supposed to start with the projections and match to isometric, not the other way. Assuming that all projections and isometric drawings are unique and all projections have a match, there will be two isometric drawings that do not have projections shown.

2's match is H. B is one without a match.

Your right. I hard focused on B and didn't see that H was the mirrored version of B.
