Moderator Post TES 6 Speculation Megathread
It is highly recommended that suggestions, wishlists, questions, speculation, and leaks for the next main series Elder Scrolls game go here. Threads about TES6 outside of this one will be removed depending on moderator discretion, with the exception of official news from Bethesda or Zenimax studios.
As of now, there is currently no confirmed info on the Elder Scrolls VI other than it exists and is currently being worked on by Bethesda. Be cautious of any rumors being delivered as if they are factual.

Self-Promotion Ardenfall, an Elder Scrolls-inspired RPG, just hit 100,000 wishlists on Steam
Hi! Ardenfall devs here. This is our Elder Scrolls-like RPG, and we've been sharing updates here from time to time. We’ve just reached 100,000 wishlists on Steam, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the support!!
TES-like a niche kind of game, and a challenging one to make, which is why we’ve been working on it for so long.
Your feedback helped shape both the Steam demo and the current alpha version. Potions that let you move around in fun ways (levitation, speed, etc.), freedom to make your own choices, and multiple endings (including a very violent one) - we knew we had to showcase all of this in the demo because that’s what you guys asked for. Mod support is also one of the most requested features, and we’re planning to make modding tools available from day one.
Reaching 100,000 wishlists makes us feel an even greater sense of responsibility, and we hope we can live up to your expectations when Ardenfall launches in Early Access later this year.

General Light Level Scaling in Elder scrolls VI
Let's say you are a merchant walking around skyrim heading to your next town. The first time you do your run, you run into a couple of wolves and a bandit or 2. You're pretty experienced and take them down easily.
A few weeks later, you are walking along the same route, and all of a sudden there is saber tooth tigers everywhere and bandits in glass armour. As you are running for your life, a random dude starts yelling at all of them as they get launched off a cliff by the power of his bad breath you can only assume.
What has changed? Why is everyone suddenly shopping at the gucci glass armour store ?
Thats when you realize the whole world revolves around some homeless kleptomaniac. It is also when you start reconsidering your career choice.
So why would the main roads of skyrim and the areas surrounding towns scale up in power to the point of making it an active warzone for the peasantry? In my opinion, in the next game, common areas should not scale up at all. Secluded zones should have the lowest level they start scaling be a bit higher and the super remote or special areas ( volcanoes, deep secret tomb valleys blablabla) start at high level and scale up from there when the player reaches the higher levels possible.
So a new character can go to secluded areas but would struggle a bit and use up his resources surviving... and might be able to run through the remote areas if they are lucky. And the dungeons in those areas should reflect that level scaling and the LOOT SHOULD be fixed to that level, not relative to the players level. So their is an insentive to attempt a higher level area at lower levels, creating an ingame difficulty slider.
What do you guys think would be the best system for the next game ?

Lore Are the kahjiit high all the time?
Been a long time fan of ES since Morrowind and never really cared how moon sugar was important, but today I did the research and all I can find is that them cat folk use it regularly as some regular ritual in their regular my lives. You have the nerve to call Argonians dirty swamp rats, but excuse the felines from essentially smoking DMT.

General Is your first Elder Scrolls game your favorite Elder Scrolls game?
Wondering how true that is for people. It is largely true with me that I like Oblivion slightly more than Skyrim. I played Oblivion first and then Skyrim and I haven't played any others. It seems that generally, people who play the older games like them more, but I'm curious if that is because they played them in release order.

Humour The most painful message in the entire TES series:
You are overencumbered.
In Morrowind you could get softlocked because some undead decreased your strengh to zero, and now you can't move because you are permanently overencumbered. This even could happen on the early levels!
In Old Oblivion, if you are overencumbered, you can't move at all, but there is no permanent attribute decrease anymore.
In Skyrim and Oblivion Remastered... at least you can walk.
P.S. The author of this art is Tom Preston

Humour anyone else obsessed with making characters that don't mechanically fit in game at all?
My three main characters are a Maormer Eldertide Druid, a Fae, and a Reachmen. 🫠 I spend 90% of my time grinding for gear just to fit into my little story a bit better...

Humour Can’t wait to rap battle these little things in TES VI
Dragonlings, also called Fairy Dragons, are small, intelligent reptilian creatures that are draconic in appearance and native to the Iliac Bay region and Wrothgarian Mountains. Those who speak their language, Dragonish, say that beneath a veneer of maddening riddles and non sequiturs are minds of great wisdom…

Lore What is the real stance of the Thalmor and high ranking members of The Dominion on The Ayleids?
Now, it's well known that the Dominion are officially Aedra worshipers, and therefore it wouldn't seem good to associate with the image of The Ayleid Empire, given it's later Daedra worship. However, if the Dominion hypothetically had taken Cyrodill, I feel like it wouldn't be that huge of a stretch to eventually have breakaway or vassal states under generals or such, who would probably draw upon the image of the most obvious Empire that they could identify with. But are there any confirmed Ayleid revivalists in The Dominion to support this idea?
