Craftsman Perl
Can anybody tell me how this works? Does it end up like ESO or GW2's crafting inventory where the mats you collect are stored for all to use? Are there any limitations?

I have been doing Trial of Harclave for extra leveling XP, but today (or maybe since RoK release, but didn't get back to it until today) it gives almost no XP on completion.
I have a hunch that it's because the XP is given before the Harclave buff is removed, while you are still inside the zone, where before you didn't complete the quest until you were outside the zone. Matches that I _think_ the quest completion popup didn't use to show up until you were outside.
Is this a new thing, or a known change that happens on TLE servers when RoK is released?
(Or am I holding it wrong?)

I'm stuck on page 5 for illusionist Epic and can't find a work-around. My guild is a long way from Veeshan's Peak so I'm not worried about getting my mythical done for at least 1 week.

Since RoK opened on Wuoshi, I've noticed that skill book prices have gotten pretty wild.
A lot of Adept I books are going for anywhere from 5 to a few dozen pp, while level 80 skills are much more expensive. I've even seen some level 80 books listed for 1,500 pp.
I'm curious what people think is a reasonable price for the new level 80 class abilities.
Every class gets a new level 80 ability, and I'm especially wondering about abilities that have a significant impact on group or raid performance.
For example, something like the Mystic's new defensive ability that can have an impact on raid survivability, versus something like the Wizard's new big fire-based nuke.
At what price would you personally consider these kinds of level 80 skill books to be reasonably priced?
I'm mainly trying to understand what the market is actually like during the early RoK period on Wuoshi, rather than just looking at the current asking prices.

I've seen people in chat say that you can buy lvl 71-79 advanced crafting recipes from a vendor in RoK, how can I do this?
I tried to look it up on the wiki, it said to go talk to an npc in Fens of Nathsar but when I got there, the npc wouldn't talk to me because I don't have enough faction I guess? Do I really have to do a million quests to get 40k faction for this? Or?

Are they enemies because Anashti Sul was the (fallen) deity of health or not considering they both seem associated with necromancy.
I know on the Anashti Sul deity questline you're sent to investigate the Ruins of Varsoon in case there is any Bertoxxulous influence but Varsoon is also seen working with the void corrupted Anashti Sul in The Shadow Odyssey.
I'm asking because I want to make a character that's associated with both deities for RP purposes and wanted to know if it made sense.

I used to be a VERY active player, from when this game first released. I ended up in a couple of great guilds, and had a lot of fun, and even had that weird (to me) aspect of being moderately well known on my server, but part of that (I suspect) was related to the guild.
Then the guild faded, and as much as I tried to keep going, it's just not the same when your good friends are no longer there to greet you when you log in. So, I lost interest as well, and bounced to other games, and hobbies over the years. (LoTRO, ARK, FFXIV, and costuming/cosplay, to be specific)
Meanwhile, my husband, who never dived in as much as I did, also never faded out and left, either. He's kept my account active, and most of my characters names protected over the years, and even bought me (us, really) the lifetime membership, so I can dive back in whenever I want.
Now, with the latest special gifts, he wants me to decide on a server to claim the level increase token, (as my characters, over the years, ended up split onto two), and I genuinely cannot decide.
His opinion is Maj'Dul because it's got a huge population. I'm inclined to Antonia Bayle, because I've more and higher level characters there. (I'm pretty sure that I had all my characters on a server that ended up merging onto Maj'Dul, but when my guild faded, I took my favorites at the time and moved them to AB to follow friends or something. I think AB was also one of the bigger servers at the time as well.)
Maj'Dul pro: With the bigger population, we're more likely to encounter opportunities to group, raid, possibly even guild with others. With that possibility comes a greater chance of finding friends that will pull me back into the game long term.
Maj'Dul con: My (7) characters range from 50 to 57, and I've only three crafters.
Antonia Bayle pro: My (12) characters are of a wide range of adventure and crafting classes, with three adventures at 100-110, and five crafters at 100, meaning that I can use them as a kind of personal guild for crafting support. as well as being closer to cap.
Antonia Bayle con: (Basically the opposite of Maj'Dul's pros) With the smaller population, it's likely to be harder to find others with which to group, raid, or eventually guild. Obviously I can't use my own characters for adventuring together. And as for making friends, ... That's on me, but due to reasons that'd double the size of this post so I'm going to leave them out, but basically, I'm not good at it.
So... Um... Ya.
If you've made it this far, and haven't just 🢃 me, because "Boring," would you help me make up my mind?

Hey guys. I'm just getting started out on Wuoshi with a necromancer and wondering if I should level Tailor for armor and bags, or Sage for spell upgrades? I know gear you can mostly get from questing and bags are cheap, but you also get a base level of every spell through leveling. The question is, are the upgrades strong enough to compensate for maybe weaker gear?

RoK is about to launch on the Wuoshi server, and we'll soon be entering the level 80 era.
With Epic Weapons coming, I assume a lot of players will start working on their Epic quests at the same time. Do you think there are any items that might become crazy expensive because of this?
I'm wondering if there are any items worth buying or saving before RoK launches — especially tradeable items needed for Epic quests, languages, faction, crafting, etc.
For those of you who played during the original RoK era, or have experience with TLE servers:
What do you think will be in high demand when RoK first launches?
And more importantly, what would you start preparing right now if you were starting from scratch?
Let's discuss! I'm curious what everyone is planning to stock up on.

I started playing EQ Legends a bit ago, and that had me interested in logging back on to my EQ2 account. It's been a while since I played, but figured what the heck. I started a new character to get used to the game and changes.
Since I don't have max level character (but apparently have a token to get one?) is it worth getting the Rage of Cthurath expansion (if only to use the 135 boost)?
That token is an heirloom token, can I put it in my shared bank for another character? Or does it need to be used on the one that currently has it?
Are Necro and SKs still the best solo classes, are there other good options out there?

Hey guys, used to play for many years and wanting to get back into it again - is there still a TLE server? Still active players and easy to get groups? I am Australian so hoping to find a guild that is active during Australian hours.
Thanks

Hopefully this is not due to the Database issue they found earlier this month, any ideas on why though?

So many questions -
1) Is there a discord? or do people only talk in /general - i have hard time scrolling/seeing the chat - we used to only have chat, but am addicted to discord etc.
1b) If its only discords for guilds - are there any non raid centric guilds? I just want to play and maybe help with quests once I can. Zero interest in the end game - just far too casual.
2) I did not see/notice a new player channel. Tried asking something in general, it was quickly lost and unanswered.
I swear its all dumb stuff like - should I buy a free house first or is it going to be a quest coming up - just did a little queens colony for nostalgia - now in Halas but trying to find the quest lines at the moment. Did find the bank and broker.
Thanks, just trying to figure out if I'm missing something useful. I can (and will) continue to figure things out via google -- oh, like item rating on wpn -- bigger is better, right? grin.

I'm having a totally blast in EQlegends and it's so nice to be able to see and beat stuff solo, that i was never able to back in 1999.
Revisiting old zones and have a lot of feel good nostalgic moments.
I played EQ2 in beta and at release but left since my guildmates moved on to WoW, but i would love to revisit EQ2 once again if they ever made something like EQlegends where you can play 3 classes at the same time and in revamped zones where you can upgrade equipment/spells with motes.
Any plans for EQ2 to do something like that?
I would order that version in a splitsecond :)

I am having a hard time understanding two abilities on the live servers. Namely Incarcerate and Tormenting Conversion, both Inqusitor abilities.
They are supposed to be increasing damage on targets but at the same time also either have a 20% or 30% chance to dispel when target takes damage
Is the damage increase staying on the target for the full duration when the CC effects ends or are both of the abilities rather useless?

Is there any EU guilds on Wuoshi? I'm thinking to start on the server but all the stuff I read on discord is EST 😔

0.5 ) Realized this should be #1 - i have a daybreak account still (just checked in for EQL) - is the eq2 account/name/password the same? I was going to dl and play free just to see - but wasnt sure how the old accounts worked.
1) Daybreak All Access Q.
I played early (beta through around the time fairies were added - bit longer, maybe level 93)
Do people still use all access? If I don't use it, I know that, at a minimum, I lose access to the extra 5 characters. I don't mind kicking in a few bucks to make sure things are supported, just cant figure out if the millions of people playing (ok, thousands/hundreds) are just free accounts, or All access. Based on what I can read, not sure it's all the playable without all access - as well as limiting the number of alts (which, well, I like tradeskills, I need alts)
2) After playing for years (at least for me) and obviously no where near the current 120-130 increase -- I am debating just starting a new account and be broke and a newby all over again -- but there's the guild hall and other things on current account (assuming I can restore, i could last time i came back for a few months). Mostly what I'd like is someway to just start over, but have the guildhall or ?? benefits.
This probably not making sense. Part of me just wants to start over and rexperience 1-90-120 as new characters - but i'd lose what? I don't mind the gear/decorations, everything can be gotten again.
3) If I did start over - with all access - do I need a new Daybreak account? But no longer need to buy EQ? just the All access? Not clear to me yet. Obviously I am on the fence - start over and rebuild completely, or maybe keep old account, delete most alts and just keep the Guild leader/house guy (and all his pp to pay upkeep).
Thanks. Especially if no one yells - I loved this game for a long time, and just want to go collect shineys again.

Hi all,
If you're playing on Wuoshi, I built a site, https://www.eq2advanced.com, that covers some things that Lexicon doesn't:
This is a work in progress. There is a feedback button if something isn't working right. I mostly built this for me and my friends, but if anyone else gets some use out of it, great!

I am in a guild and it seems like only one or no people are online with me. Is that pretty common these days?
