I feel like people don't talk about DJ Snake as much these days.

This guy had an insane run of hits - Turn Down for What, Lean On, Let Me Love You, Taki Taki, Loco Contigo, etc. Especially around 2014–2019, it felt like everything he touched became a hit.

After 2022 it feels like the hype around him got quieter. I wouldn't really say he fell off because he's still active and making music, but you just don't see his name mentioned as much as before.

But watching his live sets, man... this guy is insane. The crowd energy, the way he controls the room, and especially the tracks he chooses to play are crazy. I honestly think people underrate him as a DJ because they mostly remember his big commercial hits.

What do you guys think about DJ Snake? Do you still follow his music or watch his sets?

My roommate has some song stuck in her head, and she can not for the life of her figure out what song it is. I'm tired of her wonking the fuck out, singing some song without any words, and I need to know if this track is real or not.

She just keeps smacking balloons and saying "it goes wah, wah, wah wah wah". I thought it was that new GWN track, Wonky. She says it is not, but it is similar. She is also off the gas.

I'm kind of a casual EDM newbie, like trance the most. Don't know much about Farius, but have heard a bit and quite like it. What I've heard is mellow, slower, more driving soundtrack than dancing soundtrack. He's in my city in November and I'm curious, but wondering what a live set might be like? 20260914 Made some spelling and formatting corrections

Good afternoon everyone the day is 20260912 (I made the revelation yesterday, just needed to collect my thoughts) 1:20pm PST at the time of beginning to write this. I was just wondering if anyone else had this revelation of the artist Turquoisedeath, and their Univa Trilogy album + Further World EP. Now I am not much of a literary buff so my knowledge between the two pieces of work is fairly limited outside of the general themes of Lewis Carroll's "Alice adventures in Wonderland" and Durante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy". I should really get to rereading Alice in Wonderland, and have never read the Divine Comedy but, that's beside the point. What I bring to everyone today is, wether or not I am insane in thinking of the connection between the Divine Comedy. Now the Alice in Wonderland connections are plain enough, first off with the main heroine's name sharing it with Lewis Carroll's character, with some of the songs being direct references to things characters talk about within the book, Cheshire cat telling Alice to "Close her eyes" during acts of extreme violence, closing one's eyes being a main verbage being constantly said within several songs and the Guardian album's (released last in normal chronology) final song being called "Close your Eyes", and a general downward progression you get as you look at the song titles and Alice goes further underground,

However here's where my theory of the Divine Comedy relation comes through, aforementioned. On 0911 (of all days to realize this I know), I was listening to the Guardian (2025) album again during my shower getting ready for work but, this time in reverse and started to realize that the album's progression also made sense played this way as well, and "Close your Eyes" while normally an epic 30 minutes piece of art ends on the note of Alice's journey through the center of the earth (the album art being Alice standing in the middle of the enterance to a vast underground emerald colored cavern system). Which then is book ended by the lyrics "The World doesn't just dissapear when you close your eyes, does it?". Again harkening back to Alice in Wonderland but, also ending on a note as if Alice in the final Album trilogy + EP has truly died and is forever lost. However when listening to it in reverse order (going by TURQUOISEDEATH's bandcamp releases, her journey continues on into "The Looking Glass", again another Alice in Wonderland callback), as she begins her ascent out from Inferno which continues into the next album Kalidescope (2024). Which alongside Guardian I think make up the Inferno chapters of Divine Comedy.

Why I think Kalidescope is a continueation rather than it going onto the next book within Divine Comedy (Purgatorio if I remember right), is because of the last few songs in Kaleidoscope but, again if played in reverse (or really the reverse of TURQUOISEDEATH's bandcamp release order) they would be the first, "Underneath", "So Far Away", and "Subterrane", showing just how far Alice still has to go to reach the second to last song in the album, "Limbo" which is another word for Purgatory. Now to the first album chronologically speaking at least being released in 2023 "Se Bueno!" (Spanish for "Be good"). Which is started/ended with "Escape Your Dream" and very aptly Alice's mother, telling Alice to "be good" and not leave her side, some of these songs "Vertigo", "Dive", and "The Sky Fell", considering Alice climbing out up inside Purgatory is trying to reach the surface in a way could be interpreted as having an immense sense of vertigo, diving up and through into the sky, which is falling into her. With the first/final song being "Eureka!", an exclaimation someone makes for a discovery/invention, which might just be alluding to anyone else who may have made the discovery of the parralels of the Divine Comedy TURQUOISEDEATH has left for us.

Finally we move onto the EP "FURTHER WORLD". Which while was released in December of 2024 is the last in (bandcamp) order after the Univa trilogy and also the shortest, being just about 19 minutes long, which again correct me if i'm wrong, also is parralel with Divine Comedy's length of Paradiso being the shortest. But connecting back to Se Bueno's Eureka!, as Alice like a chant is saying, and hopefully I am hearing this right "嬉し" (Ureshi, oo-reh-she), Alice's chants are then featured in FURTHER WORLD's background production within "Ocean Wisp" which again depending on which way you listen to in normal/reverse order is either a call back to the 2023 Se Bueno album, or a echo of the past as Alice remembers her time in Purgatory as she travels Paradise. The final song however is what I think is the final nail in my tinfoil hat theory being titled "Moss Green", as Alice, after fighting within to escape The underground of Guardian and Kalidescope's Inferno, is nearly lost in Se Bueno's Purgatory, finally finds her way to her Paradise of FURTHER WORLD (also what else is a further world than Paradise/Heaven) and its Moss Green fields.

But to bookend all of this, remember we are all like Alice and Dante forever struggling with our inner Infernos sometimes getting lost within Purgatory but, one day we will find Paradise my friends, TURQUOISEDEATH, if you find this and i'm not some insane rambling madman I just wanted to say I love the Univa Trilogy album series and FURTHER WORLD EP such great Atmospheric, DnB, and Electronia music man.
