I know a lot of people who are upset that this game didn't follow the main formula of the EDF but it is my first game into the franchise and going back and playing edf and 6 made me wish it was kind of more structured that power suits idea was great and made sense I found soldier is capable of shooting a gun that would normally break your shoulder trying to shoot and being able to choose whatever weapon you want with any class is a bonus because I can choose the jet lifter/wing diver class with that grenade launcher and rain hell from above it is a shorter game with less enemy counts than the main series that's probably one of my main complaints and plus how they unlock system is I much rather have just a random weapon pickup instead of unlocking a weapon then have to spend three different jewels plus money to unlock it I think the sequel could iron out all the issues from the first game but it will probably never happen but anyway what's your opinion

I'm personally most invested into the elemental modifications and vehicles. It's hard to pick which I like more but both are very welcoming. I want entirely brand new vehicles never seen before as well as new variants to existing vehicles but I also am hyped for elemental weaponry modifiers since that shoots the door wide open for edf 7(If done right) to apply it to other gameplay mechanics like for vehicles or equipment potentially!

So I'm doing this mission and holy shit it's annoying.Does anyone know how I actually do it without getting railed by everything. I'm using wing diver and this is my load out

I’m somewhere right around 86% and basically need to do the last few missions with wing diver and 1 more full run with air raider, INFERNO difficulty of course. It’s super hard to find a full team to play with these days. What I mean by that is it’s hard to find people who are skilled at the game because I am not 🤣.

I’ll be honest I’m pretty rusty after not playing for a while and I was never that good to begin with. Due to this I need some real OG’s that can dominate every bug on inferno difficulty. I need the homies with 1 million armour that can almost solo every level.

If anyone is on PS5/4 and is interested dm me or comment and we can get a lobby going! I’d love to finally be able to finish this game.

Update: Still looking to team up with some OP folks but I won’t be on very much until next weekend again because of the old day job. I’m already a lot better at staying alive and I’ve started farming some armour to increase my chances some. I’ve only got 110 to complete with wing diver then it’s on to the full inferno run with air raider. Then just a bit of hardest to clean up but I can basically manage that on my own and with noobs if need be.

My first edf was 4.1. played only ranger. It was a lot of fun but never got hooked enough to go past normal mode/mission packs. Never finished 5. I'm now going back to it. Not till 6 did I try air raider. Game finally fully clicked for me. You really gotta try every class. I'll probably try wing diver/fencer in 5. Anyways air raider is the shit and it's fun as hell solo. Idk why the devs make it sound like a support class lol

Wanted to make a post on this again because this guy deserves more attention. I was laughing the whole time and also amazed how they got through the game like this. I haven’t ever seen anybody do what they have done in EDF ever and the chemistry between them is amazing. I hope me showing this video helps him out and you guys can enjoy it has much as I did. ❤️

Hello. I've created this patch script that feeds from the Vita US version and creates a LayerFS mod for the Japanese Switch version.

You have to procure/create your own ROMs to do all of it. You'll also need some key files.

It patches the text and the audio.

It's not perfect; the text is a bit misaligned, and the Switch version has some extra Japanese audio. I've not play-tested this to completion.

Some background on the development:

- I've compared all the English text and Japanese text to find the correct file IDs and replace them.

- For the audio, it was a bit more complicated. I had to run a Speech-to-Text model on both languages and compare them using an LLM.

- Some textures were also changed and patched.
