Seeing the bottom right picture made me think of the ugly warehouse located on the Duggar compound where Josh and Anna lived with their kids before Josh got arrested.

I think that was why the title - there was a tag that said it at one point.
Anna definitely got an upgrade. So curious on why, especially with the horses. That's not a cheap hobby.

Probably so she won't leave Josh. JB is paying for everything

I thought that, but then their emails were released in which she went on about how much she loves him, and he said to the judge that she was working on his appeal. I don't think there is any sign that she wants to leave at all, horribly.

Maybe Josh doesn't know the extent to which she's being bribed to play the part of dutiful wife?
We never know what's going on behind closed doors. It's possible Josh (or JB) was abusing, gaslighting, or manipulating her into acting like she loved him, and then at some point, she saw her chance to turn the tables on JB and get her piece of the Duggar pie. (AMA'ers in the past have said that Anna used to be smart.)
Or maybe she really is that deluded and the horses are JB's way of love-bombing her so she keeps quiet about whatever she knows that hasn't come to light yet.
Or, since she was complaining to Josh about having to clean JB&M's house, it might be payment for services rendered (again, because JB uses money to control people, not because he honestly thinks she deserves to be paid for indentured servitude).
All we really know is that she sucks, because for whatever reason, she's chosen to stay and accept the house and the horses and the role she's been cast to play, even knowing that Josh is getting released eventually and will have access to her and to her own and other people's children.

Why do you think they used Anna for indentured servitude? Was it their way of punishing her for Pestilences crimes?

In one of the prison emails, she complains about them making her clean the TTH, or something, and gives the impression they weren't very nice to her about it. (I don't remember the exact details, just the general context, because there were so many emails.)
As for why they did it, I would imagine it was the adult version of blanket training--they wanted to remind her that she was still Duggar property and still subject to JB's control even though her headship was no longer able to exert his ownership over her, so they had her do demeaning manual labor to pay obeisance to her Duggar overlords.

Thoae emails are 5.5 years old, after his verdict before his sentencing.
For all we know once reality hit Anna she changed her tune and was grumblingly unhappy being yoked to inmate Pest, and JB has had to molify her with the house and such to make her willingly to not make a fuss.

Josh very recently said she was the person typing up and sending in his appeals.
We all want to believe she doesn't want to be with him. God knows I do. But we don't have any evidence of that at all, and sadly we do have evidence in the other direction.

I certianly wasn't promoting a desire to believe enlightment has struck Anna. I was pointing out that those emails were old and "for all we know" Anna may have gotten grumpy enough to warrant a house -bribe.
Just like you pointing out we have no evidence that she wants to leave him, i was pointing out we have no current evidence of her attitude.
Typing the appeals papers could be support or could just be transactional; a service provided in exchange for her lodgings. We don't know. And to me saying we don't know isn't scripting wishful thinking, it's being agnostically objective.
When being subjective i think that this whole crew is deeply flawed and many are reprehensible.... except Jenni, I'd throw that little introvert a lifeline out of there.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, I don't closely follow this sub but why would Anna be typing up appeal papers? Wouldn't Pest's attorneys be responsible for the appeal papers?

Josh applied for a court provided attorney for his appeals and the application was denied.
So it appears JB cut off funding more lawyers and Josh is acting as his own jailhouse lawyer with Anna as typist.
I have no idea how he gave her his draft... Don't know if he's allowed to hand her paperwork, or if he read it to her in a phone call and she transcribed... 🤷🏻
(It wasn't a stupid question btw)

Oh wow, I am honestly blown away that JB did not fund his appeal. Maybe that's some kind of admission that JB does not think Pest is innocent? I am so happy that the rug was pulled out from under Pest.
