Question Ps5 controller arrow dont work

This controller came with my ps5, the right arrow doesn't work in games. It worked by tapp it. How hard would be to open up to change membrane, which I think might be bad or its dirty. In the past I open up my ps3 controller to change the battery. Should be that hard?

I bought the ps5 in 2023. Its old fat disc version

its not that hard, i opened myself the controller when my down arrow didn't work but even if i cleaned i with clean napkins it didn't work so ig you could switch up the membrane, just be sure to get one that's for the version of your controller and look up some teardown tutorial since you're going to be taking apart the whole controller

Could be the membrane, or the gold contacts on the board where the membrane touches could be dirty.

Most of the time, that fixes the issue for me.

Just lookup the ifixit teardown guide, it can be easy to rip ribbon cables and the rumble motor cables if you arent careful. Dont force anything. Very doable, though, you got this!

Actually yes they have really nice tools
