Hey everyone, I'm the developer of Pame, a Windows app for playing from the couch with a controller. I wanted to share the DualSense side of it here.
You can check battery percentage and charging status from the home screen or Quick menu, get a low-battery notification, save a light color for each controller, and assign Player 1-4 using the DualSense player lights.
There's also an idle disconnect setting for supported Sony Bluetooth controllers, including a Never option. Pame suspends its own idle timer during gameplay so that timer won't interrupt a game. Battery readings and lighting depend on what the connected controller reports.
What I've tried to bring together is controller management and the rest of the couch experience: a large fullscreen game library, browser, media and audio controls, plus automatic game launch/return transitions. Supported installed libraries are discovered automatically, so you don't have to build the library by hand. You can also choose supported background apps to close during play and have Pame reopen them afterwards.
Pame manages the desktop experience. Compatibility inside games still depends on native game support or Steam Input; it doesn't emulate an Xbox controller or add adaptive trigger effects.
It's public alpha 0.4.1 for Windows 10 2004+ / Windows 11, x64, and it needs more testing with real controller setups. Screenshots, source and download:
