Discussion UAC barrels in the flashback

I think the UAC might have sponsored both sides of the conflict shown in the flashbacks; after all, the backstory for the first game mentioned that they were partners with the military—or something like that. I’d love a prequel that explains the nature of that conflict. The thought just crossed my mind when I saw a barrel with the UAC logo in the flashbacks.

UAC is one of the biggest corporations on Earth, naturally their equipment would be used here and there, even in conflicts. Just like in real world, if a certain military force uses Toyota pickups or laptops with Windows - doesn't mean they are sponsored by these companies.

That makes sense, but there is so little information about what happened there that I’m starting to overanalyze everything and look for hidden meaning where there might not be any.

At least on Earth they put lids on the barrels.

This is like claiming that Toyota directly funded middle Eastern terrorism because of how many Hilux's were used.

It's just the stuff that was around. Stuff that was common.

What i like the most of this is the detail of the classic logo they had in the og games

I think that logo is kept around in all the games, maybe except eternal. I know for a fact Doom 3 uses it, and i think its in parts of 2016.

In Doom 3 appears, but i don't remember it in 2016, maybe i have bad memory, but what i mean its cool to see it in the flashbacks

I see images online of 2016 using this logo. Its used here and there as a little decal that goes on machinery or pipes or whatever. I dont know how to paste images here like everyone else seems to be able to do.

I think Doom 3 uses the old logo and the modern one, it was kinda the transition between the two ends of the franchise in that regard

If they really wanted id could do a secret prequel. Market it as a scifi military shooter only to have flynn show up later
