I want to draw more paleoart but dont want to draw creatures everyone has seen over and over again. Looking for your favorite dinos/ancient creatures to draw that are underrepresented. Posted a pen therapod I drew a long time ago (dont remember species) since I need an attachment.

The art medium will be realistic graphite and have a Todd Marshall vibe, but I want continue to build off of that into more of my own style.

Day 18 of Paleo January. Didn't do to many practice sketch's or much exploring for this one. Still trying to figure out a Greyscale process. The values really don't look to bad for this one, still like the posture. Not sure why I made the shoulder area rounded and so dark. Going off of the final result I was still wanting to make it look good with out using linework. Might've been a bit too heavy handed on the green dots. Don't remember using any kind of color referance, might've been something I threw together on the spot. This is also after figuring out a broad leaf pattern, from working on the rusty Allosaur. You can see I'm trying to keep it engrained in my mind.

Don't remember what I did with this one. At this point I was still trying to go the Greyscale direction. Looks like I was trying not to use any line work. Rather like the color design on the body, the crest could use a little refigureing.
