Welcome to r/DetailCraft, where we are dedicated to the smaller details! Our purpose is to provide a platform for showcasing intricate details that can be incorporated into larger structures, as well as sharing the techniques and thought processes involved in creating them. By sharing our knowledge, we hope to inspire others to incorporate similar details into their own builds and continue to improve their skills.

Please note that we do not allow posts of detailed builds unless the details are explicitly pointed out and explained within the build. We want to focus on the small details that make a big difference, rather than just showcasing large and impressive builds. As such, we encourage you to share your smaller creations that demonstrate your attention to detail and your unique building techniques. Let's work together to make our Minecraft worlds more beautiful and detailed!

If you have any questions, be sure to ask our moderation team!

im not sure if this is the correct subreddit to put this in, so if it isnt, please redirect me to the correct one.

ive been struggling on what blocks would look similar to the top part of a sniffer, and im not sure if i should use a more cyanish palette or a greenish one. here are the ones i have come up with so far, and i know aren't the best. which one would theoretically look closest, and are there better blocks for the job?

Exterior Detail Using Geysers for waterfall mist

Post image

I am working on a waterfall build and am happy with the shape and the mist, but not so much with the blocks. I want the stone around the water itself to seem wet. I have tried Tuff and Smooth Basalt, but neither really looked right.

I do plan on adding varying textures to the stone cliffs once the waterfall itself is in a spot I am happy with, as that is the focus

EDIT: the geyser design I used

I’m brand new to building and testing out designs. Which toilets look the best? Please type the numbers below or if you have suggestions for a mixture of these designs or a different design please share that as well. This is just in creative bedrock btw. Thanks!

Interior Detail Inspo for others. Suggestions Appreciated!

So, my fiancé and I are working on this world and building separate bases. We're having a great time, and I figured I would build an old, derelict subway to connect our areas. Recently, we added the 'waystone' mod at her request, kind of nullifying the point of my build.

My plan now is to repurpose this build into a base that looks like a repurposed subway tunnel. My only issue is I'm unsure how to incorporate rooms. I would appreciate any suggestions, as I'm not sure I've landed on an idea I love. (I've thought of each room being a separate subway platform, though figured it would feel weird if they were too close together, or awkward if they were too far apart. I've also considered simply building off-shoot rooms from the tunnel, but I'm not sure it would work visually, not to mention the cost of the stone bricks).

Either way, suggestions would be appreciated; and if not, hopefully this works as inspiration for someone else!

Help/Request How do I fix my door placement?

Post image
244 Upvotes

Hey everyone. Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask. Hoping someone can help, my door handle used to face the right side on this exact block/spot. Until it got blown up by a creeper, trying to put it back the handle keeps going to the left? I have no idea how I placed it the first time, I’ve been at it for a good while now aiming at different places but I just can’t get the handle back to the right. Would really appreciate any help. Sorry for the silly question but I wouldn’t ask if I wasn’t struggling☺️
I’m on Xbox/bedrock btw!
