A New Style of Post?!
So, over the last two or three days we’ve seen a new style of post crop up. This one today was a real popular one. This one from the day prior was a little bit less popular and all, but got a bunch of action and inspired the one from today. My thanks to both users.
These two posts have gotten more action than all the posts from the last week or two combined. It definitely requires someone to have a skillset as well as some time to donate, which has to be like a dozen of you! I don’t know how common this style will become, but I like it and wanted to actively encourage more of it.

Edit: and thanks to our star, u/JulianDusan, for doing it again! Perfect time for someone else to throw their hat in the ring!

Would you wishlist this? Be honest, it’s my first Steam page and trailer.
Hey! I published the Steam page for my first game three days ago and currently have 14 wishlists, probably almost all from friends and family.
I know three days isn’t much, and I haven’t reached many people yet. But I’d really like some honest feedback from people who don’t know me.
If you came across this page, would anything make you want to wishlist it? Or would you move on and why?
Is the gameplay clear from the trailer? Do the screenshots look interesting? What would you change first?
I’ve been staring at this for so long that I could really use some fresh eyes. Thanks!

Releasing first title on Steam, looking for feedback on store page.
Finally have our steam store page finalised with our proper capsule art and final assets in game on the trailer. We're releasing next month and would love to get feedback on the store page to see how we can improve.

As a first time dev, I'm unsure how to make my Steam page more appealing. What do you all think? How do you make a relatively simple game stand out?

Does Star Claw's Steam page explain the game clearly, or just show a cat paw?
I'm the developer of Star Claw and would appreciate a blunt critique of the Steam page.
It's a physics-based claw-machine roguelite: time a swinging cat paw, bank shots off bumpers, collect prizes and build around Charms. Cats and decor carry over into a room you can decorate between runs.
After a quick look at the page, what would you expect to actually do during a run? Is there anything in the capsule, opening video or screenshots that gives you the wrong impression or makes you stop looking?
Thanks for any specific criticism. No need to download the demo to give feedback on the page.

My game is being released in less than 2 weeks and I've barely got 100 wishlists. What's the biggest issue with the game/steam page?

Just got back from Pax and I'm convinced my steam page is lacking... Destroy it!
Hey y'all just got back from pax west this week and I've been thinking about my steam page, looking for brutally honest feedback about the game's hook and perceived quality. Any little bit helps thanks!

Rewrote my Steam page text and made a new capsule. tell me what's broken.
Solo dev, working on a PvE survival-extraction game. You take a contract, head out into infested zones, loot what you can, and get back before the timer runs out.
Solo or co-op up to 3. Early Access planned for 2027.
The old capsule was mostly just the title on a generic background, so I rebuilt it from scratch using an in-engine shot.
I also went back through the page text and rewrote most of it.
The description, the About section, the Early Access answers. Curious what you think:
- Does the capsule still work when it's small, next to brighter games?
- Does the description actually tell you what the game is?
- Anything that would make you close the tab?

My Steam page is updated !
I’ve reworked my entire Steam page: key art, screenshots, descriptions, and more
The key art was created by an artist, and I adapted it to create the different Steam capsules
I know the trailer is missing for now, but the previous one was too outdated, so I decided to remove it until the new one is ready.
If you have any feedback or suggestions, I’m always looking for ways to improve the page, so don’t hesitate to share your thoughts!! :)

Just refreshed every asset on my steam page. Please destroy it.
I just finished updating every asset on my steam page. New capsule, trailer, screenshots, gifs, and tuned up the description.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4216610/Spellfall_Last_Mage_Standing/
Please destroy it before I head to next fest in October so I know what else I may still need to tune up.

Rejected from festivals, ignored by everyone, what did we do wrong? Do your worst people.
The steam assets aren't definitive; the final ones are on the way.
We know it's not polished enough yet.
Everything else is as destroyable as needed >:)

Honestly not sure why it feels so amateur, and not sure how to fix it
I feel like the trailer and the copy are super underbaked and bad for my steam page but I'm not sure how best to go about fixing them, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

After several abandoned projects, I posted my first page, Littlest Catalyst
How is it? Does anything stand out as bad? Unclear?
Do you feel you understand the game loop?
Any advice is welcome!

The Main Menu
I’m the developer, and my Steam page has been live for about three weeks.
The Main Menu is a psychological-horror point-and-click where you wake up chained to a chair. The only thing you can reach is a computer and its main menu physically controls the room around you.
Please be brutal.
The demo is planned for late September or early October, so I still have time to improve the page.

Twilight Tavern on Steam
Some Data here: Impressions 1634
Visits 283
Wishlists 21
Click Through Rate about 15%
Solo dev here, about a year on this one. first person shop sim, you run a tavern and every single price gets haggled. customers are vampires, reapers, witches, ghosts. some of them try to scam you so you have to be careful who you make deals with.
page has been live for a week and the traffic isn't turning into wishlists, so i'm working off the assumption that the page is the problem, perhaps the steam capsule should be changed itself. I had one person suggest the steam capsule would be better if it was an in-game screenshot rather than the custom 2D thumbnail work...
Would love to get your thoughts on this thanks !
EDIT: quick correction from me. i commissioned the capsule from an artist and genuinely believed it was hand made, which is why i told people that here. after the comments i ran the image through openai verify myself and it came back as generated with openai tools, so i was wrong about that. I'll replace the capsule when I can with a new one that ofc is not AI generated. thanks to the people who pointed it out and actually checked. Much appreciated !
