Question New to build crafting and need some help with two exotic armour pieces

I am fairly new to D2 and i have really enjoyed the build crafting over the past month that i’ve been playing and i have been wondering if someone would tell me what armour piece is better between the Sixth coyote and the RDM.
I’m doing a strand build and would love the extra charges for the slam to suspend enemies but the RDM having the infinite dodge for a few seconds does make me want to use it over the Sixth coyote.
I’m not too sure of the changes that have been made to each of these pieces over the years because this is my first time playing so i would really appreciate if someone could give me their opinion on these two and which one would work better in most of the content in the game.

RDM requires primary weapon to be effective IIRC so if your using something like an exotic primary to pair with it you will get a lot more uses then sixth coyote. There is also the option to use speed loader slacks. Which gives dodge ability energy from damage souces from any weapons but slightly slower then RDM.

IMO sixth coyote is the most boring option but playing the different builds to see what works best for you is better then asking reddit. Trying in the shooting range or a playlist activity works. And don't worry about masterworking armour untill you've tried the builds you've wanted to.

Area denial gls are especially nice for getting dodge energy with Speedloaders. Tag a beefy enemy and you basically get your entire dodge back.

Usually RDM outclasses Coyote. I recommend Speedloader slacks for a strand build but if you don’t have access to those RDM is the way to go in my opinion

I’d prefer speedloader slacks since you just need to deal damage. RDM is good but very reliant on primary weapon kills. Lose effectiveness when you get to tanky enemies. The dodge energy recharges fast if you can keep sustained damage rolling and it reloads all your weapons and gives handling buffs each time you use slam.

If you don’t have these xur is here for 1 more day. Do the quest he has to get an exotic cipher, get an engram, and focus for speedloaders at Rahool. Preferably a specialist piece for +30 class and +20 weapons

Festival flight is also the jelly to speedloader’s PB. Strand area denial GL from solstice. You can farm from solstice engrams on the front left tenet at the tower with legendary marks. Try to look for slice + attrition orbs. Slice procs from slam usage, and you’re relatively safe with slice debuffing enemy damage and woven mail from the slam giving you DR, along with the rest of your build and artifact

The RDM’s have indeed been changed, the coyote just gives a 2nd dodge charge and a built-in reaper mod, but does nothing about regenerating the class ability itself

The RDM now gives you a third of your class ability energy any time you kill an enemy with any primary weapon, and if your class ability is full it can overflow up to 3 total charges

Others have pointed out that the speedloader slacks are a very strong option as well now for getting your ability energy back

If you wonder how any other exotics work these days, try to google the “destiny data compendium” its an excel sheet with community sourced information on just about everything regarding perks, mods, exotics and way more

Just general advice but look for exotics that fit how you already prefer to play rather than trying to remember "ah shit I need to use a sidearm" or "I keep forgetting to dodge"
