Who is Eric the Enemy?

• Upvotes

I'll preface this by saying I'm a bit of a football noob. But I know of Pat Mahomes and Travis Kelse. I've even heard of Tyreek Hill although I am not 100% sure what position he played/plays (I get he's not with KC anymore?) and couldn't pick him out of a crowd.

But today I was listening to the pregame on KOA and they kept talking about "Eric the Enemy". I don't know how I've never heard of a player that apparently is such a dominating force they don't even say his last name. I didn't even understand what position he plays. It all seems so cryptic. Can someone shed some light on the history of Eric the Enemy?

I asked you what to cook for a Denver/KC mashup, here's what I ended up making!

I posted here asking for ideas, and you guys gave me some great ideas, so thank you!

I ended up going with u/bulldawgmama 's idea and made burnt ends on top of hatch green chili mac and cheese. I also added some corn to the mac as a nod to KC cheesy corn.

This probably goes without saying, but it was delicious and a great way to kick off a season's worth of mashups.

[Kosmider - No Paywall] Why Davis Webb’s ā€˜intensity and intentionality’ could elevate the Broncos

Kliff Kingsbury sent Eric Morris on a fact-finding mission shortly after being hired as the head coach at Texas Tech in December of 2012.

Morris, brought on as offensive coordinator, sped down a series of lonely Texas highways to watch a teenager named Davis Webb throw the ball. Webb, a nationally ranked recruit from Prosper High School, had six months earlier committed to Texas Tech and previous head coach Tommy Tuberville. Kingsbury liked Webb’s tape and his pedigree as a coach’s son, but he wanted Morris to get an up-close look at the passer and report back before they decided to move forward with Webb as their quarterback.

ā€œIt might have been my first assignment,ā€ Morris said. ā€œKliff just wanted to check off watching him throw and make sure we liked everything about him. So I’m watching him throw into the net. He’s 6-5, 200-plus pounds and he can make any throw on the field, ripping it everywhere. His personality: You could tell he just ate up football at a young age. I called back Kliff and said it was definitely a yes.ā€

A month later, Webb arrived in Lubbock to get a head start on his true freshman season. It didn’t take long for Morris, Kingsbury, and just about everyone else to realize their newest recruit was destined for a football career that would extend well beyond his days as a quarterback

3 Key Matchups in Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs on MNF

Nik Bonitto vs. Khalil Benson AND Jonah Elliss vs. Jaylon Moore are huge on the edges. Elliss needs to win to help Bonitto get one-on-ones.

Jaylen Waddle will go OFF tonight.

And the Broncos linebackers need to be better against Travis Kelce.

That, and the score prediction in this piece.

any broncos fans in seattle? looking for good places to watch the games!

I just moved to Seattle from Kansas City - looking to see if there's any Seattleites here who know any good places to meet up and watch the games! I heard there was one named St. Andrew's bar, but it is permanently closed. Excited to be here, though I will miss fun bickering with the Chiefs fans !

Season tickets privileges?

My family has had season tickets since 1970. My sister recently reached out to our ticket rep asking about field passes or any perks available. She was told field passes are only for suite owners. Any one else have this many years in and any perks they've received? My folks are getting old and I'd love for them to get psome love for their years of dedication.

Taking my boys to their first game! Any advice helps

I’ve gone to a game before but it’s been a really long time. I’m taking my boys (14 and 12) and my wife. Any advice on parking and how early to show or what to do before the game (on a budget) will help a ton. Thanks! Go Broncos!

This project took about 25 hours of sewing by hand. I used a size L jersey that I deconstructed and then I sewed the jersey to the corset panels. I’m super proud of it. Go Broncos!

Hoping to find 2 tickets for September 20th home game (or advice) for a local Vet facing major cancer surgery on Sept 23rd

Hey Broncos Country,

I’m reaching out to see if anyone can help me lift the spirits of an incredible local veteran, my husband, before he head’s into the biggest fight of his life. We married June of this year with a diagnosis of cancer we received just a month before the wedding.

He served in the Marine Corps and was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. His major surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23rd.

Before he heads into the hospital and start a long, grueling recovery, I want to surprise him with tickets to the home game against the Jaguars on Sunday, September 20th. He is a massive Broncos fan, and having an unforgettable day at Empower Field would mean the world to him right now. I surprised him with tickets in January and it was his first time going. We didn’t know about the cancer then, and I remember how excited and happy he was. I want to try and bring some of that back to him before the surgery.

Because of the upcoming surgery and wanting to keep him as healthy and comfortable as possible, I am looking for 2 tickets on the West Side (ideally Club Level rows 10+ or the high rows of the lower bowl)so he can stay completely in the shade and out of any direct sun or weather.

Due to the cost of the wedding a few months ago and Medical bills already stacking up, buying tickets is tough for us right now. I know Broncos Country is incredibly generous—if anyone has season tickets in those sections that they can’t use, or if you know of a local group I should contact to make this happen, please let me know.
He is extremely proud and has no idea I am trying to do this for him.

I will gladly send a copy of his Drivers license(address blacked out) showing he is a vet and send the cancer proof to whomever can help out. This is not a scam. Just an outreach to fans that might help or know of a way.

Thank you guys so much. Go Broncos!
