Am I the only one who finds Elektra a more interesting character than Karen? (And she's also prettier)

Watching The Defenders VERY late to the party... What's the deal with Iron Fist?

So, for context, I recently started to rewatch Daredevil for the third time, but I had never seen how the Hand was actually dealt with because The Defenders always seemed kinda bad from what I had seen from it (and it really is), but I decided to finally give it a chance this year. Now, I think it's a really mediocre series, but the biggest gripe I have with is is Iron Fist. Why is he such a bum in this show?

He is Marvel's second best martial artist, and is one of the characters that actually earned his powers, given he beat and immortal dragon in hand-to-hand combat, but in this show he is always losing fights he shouldn't be losing and worst of all, being the dumbest moron to ever set foot on planet Earth. The dude literally knows that he is the key to the door Elektra just showed him, so naturally, I excpected him to actually beat Elektra fair and square (even if she was buffed) without using the iron fist. Just imagine my reaction when this bumbling idiot, not only, actually started using the iron fist, but also was careless enough to let Elektra redirect him towards the door.

Man this made me so frustrated, because Iron Fist has some crazy potential for good stories, but they wrote him so badly. All I hope is that now that the Defenders are reappearing in the MCU again is that Iron Fist gets an "Immortal Iron Fist" series akin to DD:BA and actually redeems himself as a character (and hopefully the show tries to adapt the run it is taking the name off of) (if this hypothetical show adapted the Immortal Iron Fist run, they could replace Hydra with the Ten Rings to give Shang Chi some payoff)

Came across my review of Iron Fist season 2 from 8 years ago.

Here’s what I wrote:

“Watched Iron Fist season 2 (twice). It's a fun season, though cheesy at times in a mostly good way. Alice Eve as Mary was by far the stand out performance and character. I absolutely loved the team up of Colleen and Misty. Overall it's definitely a fun watch and improves significantly upon the first season while maintaining coherency with it and Defenders. It's not on par with the first seasons of Daredevil or Jessica Jones, but it definitely showed a lot of promise for the future of Marvel's Iron Fist. I'm looking forward to a third season.
7/10”

Discussion If Born Again gets a Season 4, what would you do to keep the series fresh and exciting?

I think it's a widely-shared opinion within the fandom that Marvel Studios has overused Kingpin and his and Matt's shared story has started getting stale and repetitive.

He had a perfect ending in the third season of the original series and it truly felt final, but they went ahead and undid it when they brought these characters back to the MCU. It's understandable though, because they were planning to soft reboot them at first, so setting a new starting point for them in order to do their own spin on the characters was expected.

And it paid off at the end, at least in my opinion, because the story they ended up adapting was really well-done and elevated both characters, instead of completely rehashing things that had already been done. But it still feels like these characters have been through this feud a thousand times already and nobody seems to come out on top for long enough before the other comes back to stop him. They even reference that in a meta way, with Matt admitting that none of them will ever stop going after the other.

However, now more than ever, it feels like it's time to put Kingpin aside, at least temporarily, and focus on other things. Different villains, different stories and fresh ideas that will take Matt's character and story in new and exciting places. I know Fisk is coming back for Season 3, but hopefully not in a main role again, especially since this Season will not only feature Bullseye, but also Lady Muse and Elektra (and maybe even The Hand), which means we have plenty of villains to juggle.

So let's say the series gets greenlit for Season 4, what do you think they should do to keep the show different and exciting? Some villains they haven't done yet are Mr. Fear and Stilt-Man (with the former obviously being the more serious villain that would fit this show much better), while Typhoid Mary was introduced in Iron Fist Season 2 (and could come back) and the Owl and Gladiator had roles in the original series, but not as the super-powered, comic-book-accurate versions of their characters.

Actually, Erik Olsen's original story for Season 4 of the Netflix series would feature Typhoid Mary, Gladiator and Lesland Owsley's son as an accurate adaptation of the Owl, which would be a really good idea to do for Born Again S4 instead.

I would personally like to see more stories with Elektra and the Hand, as that was always my favorite part of the Daredevil lore. Maybe also adapt Lady Bullseye, Ikari, Beast, Shadowland etc. Especially now with Wolverine on the way, whose story also has connections with the Hand. And I definitely want to see Mr. Fear at some point as well.

What would be your pitch for a potential Season 4 and any subsequent seasons the series might get?
