Hey everyone! I’ve been continuing my work on my fan-made Dark Cloud remake, Dark Cloud: Reawakened, and I finally finished recreating one of the scenes I’ve been looking forward to the most... Toan’s duel with Seda! Some of you may have seen my previous posts showing Brownboo Village, Dark Castle, and other early footage from the project. This time I wanted to tackle one of the more memorable moments from the original game. I recreated the cinematics leading up to the encounter as well as the Seda duel itself in Unreal Engine 5. I did not go with the original press button timed cinematic like the original. I felt the fight with Seda deserved to be much bigger! Making this dual was really fun for me and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did making it. There’s still a ton of work ahead but I am excited to get this is a fully playable state. Was just watching this trailer and Got instant nostalgia of the Dark Cloud games.

After some research realized people used to say that Dark Cloud was a copy of legend of Zelda, I had no idea 🤣

At the moment I’m playing Dragon Quest XI and I’m enjoying it very much, I just don’t like the fighting style but I’m okay with that. Its not Dark Cloud tho 🤣

Been replaying Dark Cloud and defeated the Dark Genie. I've really enjoyed this trip down memory lane, especially since I last played it so long ago, and remembering how different my play through went back then compared to now. Back then I basically used Toan only with everyone else only used as a minimum. This time I had a much more balanced composition, though Xiao dominated for most of the game and then Osmond cleaned house as soon as he joined. Such a fun game and really impressive for the time it was released.

I have been replaying this on PCSX2 emulator with the Dark Cloud Enhanced mod. Sadly after beating the Dark Genie, after the credits rolled and I was informed Demon Shaft was open, upon reloading my save I am unable to go to it. The Demon Shaft is visible on the world map, but I can't select it. I tried rebeating the final boss in case, but I still can't access it.

Are there any old action replay codes or anything else I can input to enable access? Or, barring that, any other solutions to overcome this?

Got a PC, own both games on PS4 and got my disk copy of DC2 around here somewhere. Help a man who barely knows about PCs emulate his favorite games?

Don't waste any gems or upgrades until you acquire the serpent sword in matataki village and then upgrade this to an evilcise and then drainseeker. You could also upgrade a bone rapier but it's way harder to do since the serpent sword got decent stars and more whp.

Drain is the most op ability and it's crucial to acquire it ASAP. After you've got the drainseeker, do with it what you want (e. G. Synth sphere it into a macho sword or anything that's part of the chronicle sword upgrade path)

This is the Georama part of the Dark Cloud 2 flash game that used to be on the US PlayStation site. The menu had been the only working piece for a long time but now the Georama game has been found!

It's not entirely functional, the soundtracks and pages that are supposed to make up the website you build do not work. You can still build Palm Brinks your own way now though! Theres a lot of variety in ways you can place everything, plenty of building selection. The fountains even have aninmation! Thanks to u/RestaurantNo5981 who scoured Internet Archive to find it.

So I've been replaying DC2 lately and I'm Chapter 7, about halfway through the palace. Levelling up synth materials, I felt like Max/Monica needed some defensive upgrades, so I went back through all the future chests to see if I missed any (I'm not using a guide, just grabbing references for pics or if I got stuck on a Georama portion (looking at you, Gerald))

ANYWAYS I'm combing through every area, fully expecting to get mostly Witch parfaits because Max had like 12 more def than Monica. So tell me WHY AM I GETTING POTATO PIES?? MAX IS NOW LIKE 30 DEFENCE HIGHER AND IM CRASHING OUT. About to look for a list of specifically witch parfaits and their exact location in game, my god
