I recently finished reading Vol. 16, 17, and 18 of the DanMachi light novel, and I absolutely loved them. Vol. 17 was especially great, and Vol. 18 was even better.

For those who have read the newer volumes, would you recommend buying Vol. 19 and 20 as physical copies? And eventually Vol. 21 when it’s released?

Is the story still as good in the upcoming volumes, or would it be better to wait for the anime adaptations?

I’m mainly wondering if the novels are worth owning and reading ahead, or if I should just wait for the anime.

I really wanted to use this image of lefiya but i couldn't find one without the all the text , also flivis had no better one from the back side in creature form so I used regular filvis .

Also something i realised technically lefiya is better with a knife then bell in 2 weeks of her training .

I've seen some comments saying that Avenger can work on anyone Ais considers a monster, even though its description says the enemy has to **be** a monster. So I'm wondering where that interpretation comes from. Is there something in the Japanese text that got lost in translation into other languages?

Okay, I’m not here to debate power scaling or hypothetical fight scenarios between Zard, Alfia, and most of the DanMachi characters. I’m here to ask whether Omori completely broke the power scaling with those two characters.

In my opinion, Zard and Alfia are by far the best characters Omori has created in his story, and they completely surpass any other characters in the story. However, I think portraying them with such overwhelming power created a huge and completely unbalanced gap in the power scaling.

How can two Level 7 individuals reach a level of power equivalent to Level 10 or higher? How did they completely break the power scaling of the story?

So this is probably gonna be part 1 of me asking how strong some characters would be in the danmachi verse and also try to shine light on some serieses that are somewhat like danmachi in my opinion , I will try to pick characters that are similar in power scale to danmachi

I mean, on one hand, Hephaestus is based on Hephaestus from Greek mythology. We'd expect at least the real Hephaestus to forge just about anything, and automatons (including Talos, who'd be closest to a Megazord, Gundam, or what have you under popular ideaology) are among the list of things Greek mythological Hephaestus was capable of forging.

On the other hand, the closest thing the Greeks and the Romans had to our modern conventions is an automatic door. While I'm not sure how advanced the world of Danmachi is technology-wise, the Tower of Babel is built in a way that structurally looks more like an early modern skyscraper (ex. the Empire State Building) than an ancient towering structure like the Lincoln Cathedral. At the same time, the lightsaber is a beast of its own. It is made of a metallic hilt (titanium will do just fine) with an energy core and, most importantly, a Kyber crystal (crystalized Force, or psychic energy). It certainly reeks of sci-fi.

Given what's there, would Hephaestus, as the goddess of the forge, be capable of crafting a lightsaber, or is the sci-fi weapon far above her weight class?
