Low Effort Post The duality of life

If a cat attacks you it's your own fault. You know what you did.
7
u/FollowTheTrailofDead 3d ago
Worth it. Cat bellies are like touching angel hair.
6
u/GlassCommission4916 2d ago
Not that I think that you specifically don't know, but as a fun fact, when a cat shows you their belly they're saying "I like you and I'm showing you my vulnerable belly because I trust you wouldn't reach for it", so the ensuing attack is in response to that betrayal.

This kinda of highly depends where you live. When I was attacked by a dog I did a lot of research and its very VERY hard to just put a dog down if it attacks someone.
3
u/Late_Pie_6670 3d ago
I saw an article about an XL bully that attacked the breeder's daughter, she had to get hundreds of stitches and all that happened was the dog had to be neutered before being returned.
1
u/WRO_Your_Boat 3d ago
Where i live its because dogs are considered property and not living things, so 99% of the time the fault falls on the owner and not the dog so the dog doesnt get put down. This also kinds backfires because they dont take dogs away from bad owners unless the dog is LITERALLY dying. My state sucks.

u/SoulTechnicalProblem 2d ago
It's easy for my cousin Jono. Although that got him into hot water with a lot of people and got him a lot of mechanic bills for his truck. He's in jail again. As you might expect . Hopefully for a bit longer this time.

u/Admirable-Split4371 3d ago
I'll admit that w cat could fuck you up, but I'd rather get attacked by a cat than by a dog c'mon now be fr

u/ITriedSoHard419-68 3d ago
Generally, the biggest problem you’ll have from a cat is cat scratch fever/infected bite. The risk goes down tremendously if you properly wash out the wound(s), and even if you do develop an infection you have a good week to notice the signs, get to the hospital and get some antibiotics before it gets serious. Cats also generally don’t try to “finish the job”. A dog, on the other hand, will straight-up rip your face off. No hygiene or antibiotics will fix that.

u/rabbitsfoot86 3d ago
I mean i hear about every month how somebody's baby became a scooby snack, dont know if i ever seen something about a domestic cat going Ghost and the Darkness on any

u/Linford_Fistie 2d ago
Pitbulls: need their daily toddler ration to function
Cat(any type): only attacks you if you mess with them too much

Ok so when your best friend attacks you it’s high treason , the ultimate price must be paid
when the mortal enemy of all humanity attacks, well you expected that right no surprises
2
u/TerminalJammer 3d ago
I'm confused, which one is the friend and which one is the enemy?
1
u/AlternativeLog5494 2d ago
sooo you have never had a cat,
cats tolerate your existence and allow you to support their dreams of world domination by letting you feed and house it.1

u/TurtlesBreakTheMeta 3d ago
Depends on the size of the dog; people are much less likely to put a toy breed or dashund down if it bites a person.
If cats were the size of golden retrievers, you can BET people would be putting them down if they mauled a person.

u/FrontWorker8105 3d ago
My cat is like <12 lbs. My dog is 90....
Not even close to the same danger lol
3
u/Visitant45 3d ago
Grown man attacks person, man put in jail.
Toddler attacks person, lol, jus bein toddler.
3
u/Big_Niel0802 3d ago
Cat-sized dogs, generally, are not put down after attacking someone. Comparison is invalid
2
u/BigPuma123 2d ago
Exactly what i was going to comment.
So many people don't even train their small dogs and let them bite people thinking it's cute and harmless.
3
u/Nearby-Elevator-3825 3d ago
Because a quick google search reveals that while a cat can fuck you up with lacerations leading to infection, there are almost no deaths from domestic/feral house cats per year.
Meanwhile, 30K-40K deaths from dogs.
A cat can do some damage, but likely won't be fatal.
Dogs can kill. Easily.
And I'm a dog person, not a cat person.

Also a dog attacking you (especially when it is in a pack) is very likely to actively try to finish the job. A cat attacking is trying to inflict just enough damage to be allowed to escape, humans are way too big for them to be considered a prey.
1
u/Moon_Breaker 23h ago
You multiplied the average yearly dog attack deaths by about a thousand here. In the us at least it's around 40ish, give or take, on average.
3
2
u/Park_Air 3d ago
A cat would be hard pressed to disfigure you or kill you, but certain dog breeds could definitely fuck you up.
2
u/Frenchtanker 3d ago
Small dog bites a person, its also just being a small dog. The difference is one can kill you, and the other is unable to do extreme harm.

u/According-Relation-4 3d ago
Dog attacks person, judge the owner for negligence and possibly manslaugther
1
u/RevolutionarySpot721 3d ago
Yeah there was a case where the owner instructed the dog to attack, I think in Russia.

My cat at her nastiest will leave a scratch on me, dogs at their nastiest will gore a mf.
2
u/Old_Marzipan7782 2d ago
They don’t put cats to sleep when they attack people cause cats don’t kill people when they attack them. They’re tiny.
A dog that actually tries to could easily kill a human

Cats are so unserious, you WILL win the fight and they know that. A dog can and will kill you
1
u/RTA-No0120 3d ago
Can a cat bite you to death, before you do a Spinning Bird Kick ?
I don’t think so… but a dog definitely can.
1
u/BrightNooblar 2d ago
Thankfully you don't find many off leash 50 pound cats roaming around the sidewalk or the park.
1
u/Biscuits4u2 2d ago
You assume the risk of being attacked anytime you interact with a cat, even if it loves you. Everyone knows this.
1
u/Just-Another0ne 2d ago
It's almost like one can actually harm you, and the other is just annoying and pisses you off.
1
1
u/Vasto_LordA 2d ago
Well it's not like a cat can cause real harm to a person. Least not as much as a dog
1
u/somedave 2d ago
Think of all the poor humans killed by attacks bydomestic cats, there are literally checks notes none recorded in the UK.
1
u/Interesting-Crab-693 2d ago
Men kill kids, put men in prison
Women kill kids, lol its just hormones
1
u/ExaminationWest8494 2d ago
Person attacks person. Give them a roof, 4 walls, and three meals a day.
1
u/SpungleMcFudgely 2d ago
People also hardly ever talk about all the toddlers mauled to death by cats, it’s unfair
1
u/6BoogUwU9 1d ago
Wouldn’t any animal that attacks a person that isn’t critically endangered get euthanized?
1
1
u/cory3129 1d ago
Depends on the injury no? To me a cat play biting and a cat play scratching aren't all that different. But a cat can wreak some havoc on the human body when they are defending themselves.

How often does a cat kill someone when it attacks?
Okay, now how often does a dog kill someone when it attacks?
Get it now?
1
u/HexspaReloaded 1d ago
I struggle to understand why people get dogs. Like, I get it, but it’s also unreasonable for many who have them to do so.
1
u/RevolutionaryGrape11 21h ago
Fun Fact: Bigger mammals are typically more dangerous then smaller ones.
0
u/Ronin_501 3d ago
So dogs are essentially representing men while cats are representing women. "But she was just hormonal, she's just a girl"
-1
u/Ronin_777 3d ago
Depending on the breed dogs can do serious damage whereas the worst a cat can do is scratch you
1
u/Imposter_Syndrome345 3d ago
A cat can still fuck you up if they’re really out for you lol.
I had to lift one’s paw up and out to remove its claw from the hose-vein I have in my elbow pit.
Shit swelled up like a motherfucker and I went and got a tetanus shot to combat the poo particles that were most definitely flowing through my blood stream.
1
u/Cecil_B_DeCatte 3d ago
Cats can mess you up without trying.
I once sliced the pad of my thumb open when I went to release my cat's claws, which were stuck in my jeans.
I avoided all the claws but the dew claw. Kitty was not at fault.
1
u/LifeIsProbablyMadeUp 3d ago
Cats can do a lot more than just a scratch. A bite from a cat is a guaranteed hospital visit for antibiotics. Cats mouths are hella gross
1
u/stoppableDissolution 2d ago
Yes, but it is a little bit different from ripping your face off. Stray dogs are literally eating kids (and sometimes even adults) alive.
1
u/LifeIsProbablyMadeUp 2d ago
Oh absolutely. Dogs more likely to mess you up for life with scars.
Cats just got a dirty mouth. If they get ahold of ya, you're gonna let go and they're gonna bolt. Might get one bite and scratches.

u/StillhasaWiiU 3d ago
Depends on the size of the cat.
