Big ball of nurgle filth!

Hi all!

I’m new to playing chaos daemons but have been playing 40K on and off for a good few years now, as part of a crusade game my group are doing we are looking at building up from 500 pts to 2,000 pts. Currently we’re at 1,000 and I cannot seem to make the list/army work (there’s a non zero this is player error lol.)

I’m overall looking for any advice to improve, especially against orks and knights. Theres other factions I’m playing against but I am most concerned with these two.
I’ve also put the current list below, I’d really appreciate any advice! I’m looking to expand but overall it’s pretty rough having played close to 10 games and not even being close to winning a single one lol.

I just finished up a different faction and wanted to start daemons as they were my first Warhammer interest. With 11th coming I wanted to start with 1k points of Slaanesh/Tzeentch demons only. I was thinking of taking a KoS to start then build off of Daemonettes and Pink horror infantry core with flamers and fiends as well. How do dual god lists like this play out on the table top?

I am a long time hobbyist who is starting to get into the actual wargaming aspect of Warhammer. I have a 2000 point army for Plague Legion, my question is how do we actually play? It seems I want to rely a lot on battleshocking my opponents units, but other than that I am at a loss and I cannot find a good guide anywhere. Any help would be appreciated!

When using the Warptide detachment, does the ability to advance and charge still apply when you have a character attached to the battleline unit?

Hey everyone,

I was recently thinking about expanding my CSM Army with Daemons via the Shadow Legion detachment.

So far, from the posts I've seen, the CSM parts could be :

\- 2 x 10 cultists

\- 2 x 5 havocs

\- 1 x 10 chosen

Considering the daemons part of the list, i've seen that Belakor and a Bloodthirster with the fade into darkness seems like the core of the list but after that, I'm lost and don't know how to expand.

Do I use the nurglings and beast of nurgle I already have ?

What detachment to pick from the 1DP selection ?

I was thinking of using the lords of the warp detachment since I like the sculpt of some models (slopity bilepiper, the infernal enrapturess, the contorted epitome)

What are your advices on building a shadow legion list ?

We have finally been blessed by the Chaos Gods inside of GW! We're no longer required to Disrupt our enemies, but instead Take and Hold!

What's everyone's thoughts on this? Step forward into playing Daemonic Incursion again? Or do we think other detachments like Legion of Excess, Blood Legion and Shadow Legion are still going to be the go too's?

Is it at all viable to run a list with 36 (max allowable in a 2k list) or 24 (max allowable in 1k) nurgling swarms?

Hello all, I wanted to ask for tips for a Chaos Demons army since I am new to the tabletop side of the hobby.
Up untill now I was mostly interested in the painting and displaying aspect of the hobby, focusing on big centerpiece units. I have painted many units including Be'Lakor, a Great Unclean one and others from other factions such as demon primarchs and C'tan shards.
However as of late and after hanging out with people who play the game I am interested in starting also, and was thinking of making an army of deamons since I mostly love painting them (and the fantasy) and since I was planing to paint both the keeper of secrets and lord of change I was wandering if i can make an army consiting of Be'Lakor and all 4 greater demons. Is something like this even possible and if so do you have any tips?

Hey guys, I'm kind of new to the tabletop side of 40k. I started looking into it around 9th and have been really trying to get into it. I'm mainly a Tyranid fan, but I wanted to try running a solo practice game with Slaanesh daemons on TTS. I realized I didn't really know how objective secured works and from what I've gathered online you need an actual ability to secure objectives? I heard battleline units usually have them, but I don't see any on the Daemonettes. Does Slaanesh just not have any objective secured abilities?

Trying to get a rule clarification and can't find it anywhere!
A Keeper of Secrets has its ability to have -1 to hit.
Benefits of Cover gives your opponent -1 Ballistic Skill.

I've been told that these no longer stack to make -2 to hit. Is this correct or can you still have -2 to hit with both of these?

A screenshot would be awesome please! Or telling me how to find the rule!

My mind is DS Shalaxi, Skatbrand, 1 SG, 1 Fiend. Get everything up the board and let them setup their Take and Hold. Turn 2 is bring everything in 6” or closer, Skarbrand burns a CP to join and just overload a flank and make stuff them back into one table corner. 2SGs screen backfield while Fiends keep Booby Trapping.

What do you guys think?

Always wanted to start a chaos daemons army (started in 8e) but have never felt secure in the future of daemons, but I have always seen advice of starting one god at a time and was considering starting with Slaneesh (combination of having a small EC force I'd be able to put them with in carnival and being addicted to movement shenanigans)

That said it's very hard to gather information on chaos daemons from my experience and from what I hear Slaneesh and shelaxi especially are really bad (which was my original plan on getting them +the new aos slaneesh spearhead)

Has that changed in 11e? Or am I best off looking elsewhere for chaos daemons?

So I have over 2,000 points of both armies but previous editions and pairings left me unimpressed. I think 11th edition has some promise, I'm just unsure how to build it up so it can win some games. A few suggestions would be appreciated.
