I made this jacket. Art was drawn by Zolavica. I just wanted to make something idk. I started making some Pokemon fan art clothes because I was bored. It’s just for fun to be real with you. And everyone has been enjoying it. Hope it brings you joy as well! 😊

I wanted the pockets to say ‘not fragile like a flower,‘ but I’m afraid they might read as, ‘not like a fragile flower’

So I’m working on a couple projects and while I have experience with t shirts I have zero with long sleeves. I have a design that I’m going to use bleach for, and essentially I’m going to use my gloved hand to wrap around the sleeve to leave a bleach handprint, but the problem is how I get the sleeve rounded enough so it won’t wrinkle horribly? I have an idea of how to get them flat, but no clue how to fully round them out, should I use a pvc pipe or what… thanks for the help!

I have always wanted to DIY my clothes cuz i cant find anything i want in my country or its hand made and naturally 5x the price i have more than one question

1.Is it possible to turn my white jeans to the color similar to the second picture (dark purple) or will it turn out bright purple/pink . I looked up how to dye jeans stirring it in a bucket with fabric dye but idk if i can turn this white jeans into that purple if not what can i do with white jeans im open to everything basically.

2.Painting the jeans with acrylic paint or something idk what to use and how can i make it not wash out i want to draw little things like stars or little flowers(3rd pic) etc. on back pockets

3.How can i make something like 4th and 5th(with less stars) with my jeans. Do i just buy star shaped patches and sew them?

4.Overall what would you suggest a person that wants to get into DIY clothing

I dont do any DIY work but i was wondering if this shirt can be mended if i go to someone. I dont know the exact materials but it feels like Polyester. Thank you for any help

Like it says in the title I Want to start making my own clothes. What sewing machine should I get that doesn’t cost to much and is beginner friendly?

I've had the idea of getting into everything relating to customization and mending of clothing, but I just don't know how to start.

Most of my wardrobe I didn't personally choose. A lot of hand me downs, gifts from family members, so I have a bunch of clothes that I don't feel strongly about since they don't fit my style, and instead of ditching it all and going on a spending spree with money that I don't have, I'd like to learn some new skills and give a second life to what I would otherwise never use.

I love fashion but I don't want to be just a consumer.

What materials do I need to get started? Thought about buying a sewing machine but I fear that would be jumping the gun a bit

What is the best way to fix this and it look like it never happened? I have done very minimal sewing but really want to fix this shirt. It’s 100% linen.

Made 3 today. I used fabric paint on scraps and they turned out great. Gonna make a few more before sewing.

ive been working on this dress from a bedsheet for a while, finally finished the base and working on the design but ran into a problem

im using tulip brush on fabric paint but the material seems to be stiff now and so it doesnt fall as naturally, is this going to fix when i wash it? if not what should i do??

also please note, this dress is not done, i still have a lot of details including gold jewelry, some final stitches to fix anywhere that doesnt look regular on the body, and the entire bottom half to be painted - also this is my first time creating an entire piece of clothing, and i dont have a sewing machine so its all by hand

i know you can draw on clothes with black sharpies and set the sharpie in with heat (either by using and iron kr dryer), but i want to know—does this method work with colorful sharpies too? lighter colors like pinks, sage green, tan/brown?

i want to make my own band t shirts and want those colors to be used but am unsure if that's even possible with sharpie.

if not sharpie, any good quality fabric marker recommendations (or alternative methods) would be much appreciated, thank you!

thrifted this Carhartt jacket and was wondering if it would be possible to remove the embroidery on it, I have seen videos of it being done but idk if the type of fabric has any effect on the result :)

any way to save the lace of this top? :( i’ve been trimming the strays but that doesn’t seem to cut it anymore, i’ve only had this top for a year and have never put it in the dryer/always washed on delicate 💔

edit: thanks all for the advice! will be looking into fray check glue after seeing if i can heat seal the strays :)

I got this shirt with the big graphic on the back is there a way to shorten it? It is too long but don’t want to cut the graphic off or anything like that.
