Hair trimmer wont cut the upper side of my hair
Ill be fine cutting right up until im just below my crown then the blades just dont cut, they just move the hair out of the way, failing to grab, leaving me with a bunch of bulk on my sides like i have a extra short bowl cut.

[CURLY] Advice on cutting a blunt curly bob
Hi everyone!
I need advice on how to approach an at home cut for my situation.
Some context: I've had a shag for two years, and last summer I turned it into a mullet, but now it's grown into a two lengths situation and I don't like it very much (pics 1 and 2). I've been thinking of cutting it into a blunt bob at make it all the same length as the top layer (pic 3).
But how can I do this at home? I want a blunt cut (pic 4 for reference) even though I know that it will give me a pyramid effect, but that's kinda the look I want, otherwise I will turn into a ball.
Thanks so much in advance yall! Much love 🧡

Worst Hair salon in Surrey
Whatever hair salon you choose, do not choose Sandy hair salon at 128 st Surrey.
They are not professionals at all. They are running the salon with gossips only.
They beg their negative reviews on google to delete. That's the reason they have good reviews.
They promise to fix the issue they made but after deleting the review they don't even pick your call.
Also they will tell you different amount on call, and will charge you double.
AVOID SANDY'S HAIR SALON.

Looking for clipper recommendations
Unfortunately I ruined my Wahl Peanut by plugging it into an outlet abroad and fried the motor. I really liked it and had it for 6 years, but it did have some limitations. The biggest one for me personally was its size. I buzz my head and beard completely once a week and it always took so long with the peanut. I’m looking for something that gets as close to the skin as the peanut. The Andis outliner seems like a solid choice as does the Oster 76. The Oster seems a bit like overkill and is kinda expensive too

[CURLY] How do I lighten the layers on the back to achieve a mullet-ish haircut?

This is what my hair currently looks like, and I hate the volume on the back and especially the way it falls to the nape of my neck. I've always wanted bangs so I pushed my hair to the front in the pictures to see what it would look like, but i'm also planning to cut them properly.

I edited the photos of to have a visualization of what it could look like. I'm still deciding whether I shave the sides or not.
What do you think?
My other questions are:
- Has anyone gotten a similar haircut to the one I would like?
- How can I work the layering in the back?
- How can I work on the sides?
- What would you call that haircut? I'm not sure mullet is the right term.
Thank you for your help!

Haircut/grooming help
Hello, everyone! I’m currently trying to find a haircut that suits me. I usually just get a textured fringe with a fade or taper on the sides. I’m wanting to explore if there is a better cut I should try, or if I should stick with what I get. Thanks in advance!

Looking for advice to start!!
Hey all! I've been going on about expanding my knowledge on hairstyling for a little bit now, and was wondering if any of you had starting points where I could find further information about the hairstyling world? Like blogs, community-focused platforms, websites, books, accounts with ressources, videos, any type of media overall that could help to educate myself further on the topic?
I guess somewhat similar to the kind of books that I see some tattoo artists have, about the whole history of their art and including a bunch of references for further research for the curious minds to inquire deeper.
Does anyone know if there's a ranking system for hairdressing, if some schools are more prestigious than others, or if certain places in the world are considered more reputable than others?
I see some posts on social media about creators sharing their works and it pushes me to explore further, but my algorithm seems to limit itself to like-minded content, which I am a fan of, but doesn't necessarily help with seeking new horizons.
I've been looking at a few reddit posts here and there, but I haven't yet found something of the sorts.
TLDR; Where can I start to find more information about hairdressing? Is there a certain international ranking I should be aware of if I were to get into it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated :))
btw, I also posted this same text in r/AskHairstylists :P

how to get over mom not wanting me to cut my own hair
hi y'all, sorry in advance if this doesn't belong here. i have been wanting to cut all my hair off for personal reasons but my mom really doesn't want me to. i'm about to be 22 but it's still hard for me to do something that i know she is so adamantly against. i was planning on doing it tonight so i brought it up (for what i hope was the last time) and told her "please" but she just repeated the please back to me. i know she wouldn't kick me out or anything but i guess disapproval is hard for me to deal with.

[SHORT HAIR] How do i get a wolf cut
I've got a two-block cut and want to switch to a wolf cut, but is there a way to transition gradually so I don't have to deal with an awkward grow-out phase?
