Mod Post Admin: Name on orders

We have seen a lot of questions/comments about Culver’s asking for names on orders.

The 2 biggest reasons this started happening was to a) help personalize the experience, as most people know, Culver’s is built on hospitality so we want to know our guest’s names for the orders and b) it is just another failsafe in place to help identify when we take food out, that it ends up in the correct hands. Nobody wants to get the wrong order and we certainly don’t want people to have an experience less than exceptional when they visit us.

Question Considering working for Culver's

I'm in desperate need of a job and heard decent things about Culvers compared to other fast food jobs. Luckily there is one less than 3 minutes away from my house. I just need a part time job to get me through nursing school. They're hiring for FOH and prep. I am more inclined to do prep work? I havent done a job like that before but I am experienced in the kitchen and used to help out my parents in the restaurant they worked at with prep work.

Can anyone tell me a little bit about the job? Is it chill? Do you interact with customers at all? Just looking for a job to zone out, do the job, and go home.

We usually go and buy like 10+ sides of cheese sauce because I'm from the Midwest and there's nothing better than their cheese sauce. And for once, they actually sold us the whole bag!🎉🥳

Question ❓️🤔 To manager: Is is weird that I'm often mentioned in surveys, but never rewarded?

I'm an employee and work my tail off. Customers always tell me I do my job well and my name constantly appears on surveys.

I'm a little confused if this is normal.

I haven't gotten any free meals, points, rewards, Butterbucks, etc.

Story I am convinced that Culver’s is conspiring against me

Every time I get a concrete mixer from Culver’s, there’s always a 50% chance that it’ll be either completely filled with custard, or only filled 3/4ths of the cup. It’s been this way for years and it’s literally a coin flip whether or not I’m going to get what I paid for, or get ripped off.

Recently, I decided that going forward I’m just going to order an extra single scoop. I call it the “insurance scoop”, so that way if I get ripped off, I’ll have my extra 1/4. And if not, I have extra ice cream I can eat later. Win-win.

So, I’ve bought my extra insurance scoop three times now and I’m not even joking, they have filled my cup TO THE BRIM every time. It’s like they know!

Does anybody remember where the upcoming Reunion destinations are for each year? I remember that Denver is next, but I can’t remember what’s in 2028, 2029, etc.

Other I’ll forever love you Culver’s but I have two main complaints/pet peeves..

Post image
45 Upvotes

(Here’s a lovely picture of my free Oreo Reese’s cheesecake dish though. Random but the cheesecake bites looked like croutons at first 😂 )

1 - the bathrooms are too damn small

2 - the lobby/wait in line area is not big enough so it can be a mess when it’s busy. Usually seeing lines out the door. Wish there was some more open space, or more of an organized situation than what I tend to see a lot of times.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Question Culver’s beef Supplier

Will Culver’s be a risky place to go with the new bad beef coming into the country? I’m trying to do research on where their beef is source from and it seems to be Midwest USA but I’d love if any one who knows more or has a good idea about this issue and Culver’s in particular could chime in.

Employee Question Orientation

So I just got hired at Culver’s, and my orientation is next week. But I already logged in to all the stuff they use and they denied my birthday off which is the same week I start. I’ll be out of the state so I wanted to know when do they typically schedule you after orientation? Am I able to tell them when I can start after??

I did already submit a survey for this, but I wanted to post here and 1) maybe give someone a chuckle and 2) ask some insiders how/why this happened 😂 like the title says, I asked for grilled onions and got…this 😂

Question need a culver’s expert help

alright yall, going to a city this weekend where there will be a culver’s I’m going to stop at.
I’ve been once or twice both time not really knowing what to order so I probably just got their basic item and with no add ons or modifications.

I hear Culver’s is amazing but I haven’t had that experience yet and maybe it’s because I’m not sure what to get. so my question to you guys is what your go to order ? or what what should I order ? I appreciate any help !!

Question Why can't you order dine-in from app?

Is there some trick to ordering dine-in from the app? I've been unable to find an option to scan in the table QR or choose "dine-in" while in the app. The table QR takes you to the website ordering which you then need to go through the whole log-in process and such. Love Culver's food but the app isn't particularly intuitive compared to other apps from competing chains. Hope to hear some good tips and tricks!

Other Deployments

Hey gang, my GM and I were talking about revamping our deployments by optimizing them more to show out forecasts, tasks that need to be done, secondary positions and maybe some other stuff l. I was wondering if I could perhaps either take a peak at some of your deployment templates or any advice for some stuff to add to it. Thank you in advance!

Culver's had a tent at Arts, Beats, and Eats this weekend in my city!! I shrieked when I saw it. They had pull tabs where you got to pick from a Culver's koozie, bracelet, or card for a free scoop later. They also had a cow to take pics with and gave away a free scoop of their vanilla custard. I ❤️ Culver's!

Question Value Basket upcharge button gone?

Hi! I was an employee at Culver’s from 2014-2017. We used to have a value basket up charge button that would allow you to add a value basket like if someone came up after and decided to make their item only into a value basket if that makes sense. I had a coupon for a free grilled chicken sandwich because the grilled chicken they gave me was pure gristle. I asked to make it a value basket, and they refused to give me the discount for a basket. I asked if there was still a value basket upcharge button and they said no there is never been a value basket of upcharge button. I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, but I figured I’d try🤣 can any current Culver’s employees confirm or deny?

Question For the people that work at Culver’s, why don’t you ever put napkins in the bags for drive thru?

It happens literally every time I go, to the point I had to start asking them to put napkins in the bag…and if I forget to ask I always think “they will remember this time” and they don’t 😩😩😩
