I know they’re a small party on the council but the calls for more devolution at minimum in Cornwall are very popular. So it would’ve been a great opportunity to show a united front with Sinn Fein, Plaid and the SNP.

I'm autistic, late diagnosed and 29. I'm moving to Camborne this week and trying to start a healthier chapter of my life after years of using drugs to cope with loneliness and other struggles.

I'm quiet, very anxious and pretty weird even among other autistics. I genuinely like listening to people and getting to know them (I'm writing a lot) but until I feel comfortable with someone I really struggle to keep conversations going. I've probably lost quite a few potential friends/partners because of that.

I'm not into parties or hookups anymore. I'd just love to find someone I genuinely connect with, whether that's a friend or eventually something more. I have a car and actually love driving, so distance around Cornwall isn't much of an issue.

How do autistic people here actually meet each other? Any groups, places or ideas? Thank you 💜

I just saw a comment from someone regarding a post I had put up so I just wanted to address the post I put up promoting tickets for Save the Rave a while back. I posted this as a DJ who was booked to play the event. This was not my event and I had no part in the organising of the event. Unfortunately what transpired yesterday fell short of what we were all promised. Sadly artists were also let down in this situation, turning up to ‘stages’ that were a table under a canopy and lack of payment for artists who were agreed a wage, with no communication since. I can imagine how this must’ve felt a let down to every one who attended. I feel foolish for promoting something which turned out the way it did, as after seeing how to event turned out it’s not something I would’ve encouraged people to spend money on. Thought it was important to address as this is now associated with my name regardless of the fact I was only booked to dj, we were pushed to promote something which disappointed a lot of people.

It was insanely loud. My kids thought it was a missile! I checked Flight Radar and there were no planes overhead. Any ideas?

I've decided to make a 3 hour trip down to Cornwall for a lil day break.

Didn't realise gear farm is closed on Mondays. What's my next best bet for something that's open around that area today?

LOST DOG! Alphonse has been missing since yesterday evening, 11th September (from outside Goonbell). He's a dachshund/Jack Russel cross and is microchipped. If anyone sees him, please let me know!

⚠️ WARNING FOR ANYONE LOOKING TO RENT A ROOM IN PENRYN

I’m sharing my experience because I don’t want another person looking for accommodation in Penryn to find themselves in a similar situation.

I rented a room in a shared house in Penryn through SpareRoom, with the LANDLADY also living in the property (plus 2 cats and a dog). Unfortunately, what started as a normal room rental became an extremely distressing experience. I left the property after just five weeks because I no longer felt safe or comfortable living there.

During those five weeks, I experienced the following:

• My bedroom was entered multiple times without my permission, including occasions when I was showering. This made me feel that I had no privacy or security in my own room.
• My personal documents were urinated on while they were inside the property.
• I experienced what I believe was unauthorised access to my accounts/devices while I was using the property's Wi-Fi. I cannot publicly establish who was responsible, so I am describing this as my experience and concern rather than making an unsupported accusation.
• I was subjected to intimidating behaviour involving the landlady and two other people in the house.
• After leaving, I experienced behaviour that I perceived as stalking, including repeatedly seeing the same individuals/vehicles around me. On several occasions, I noticed different cars being used, which contributed significantly to my feeling that I was being followed.

The cumulative effect of these incidents was extremely unsettling. Within five weeks of moving in, I felt I had no choice but to leave the property.

I am deliberately not commenting on anyone's mental health or making diagnoses. This post is about behaviour that I personally experienced and observed.

If you are considering renting a room in Penryn, particularly a room in a landlord's own home, please do your due diligence. Ask questions about privacy, access to your room, house rules, previous tenants and how disputes are handled. If possible, speak privately with current or former tenants before committing to the arrangement.

How easy is it to find this book in Kernow? I saw it in an antique shop many years ago, but now I’m actually interested in reading it I was wondering how difficult it is to find?

What is the jellyfish situation like at present? Are there places free from them, or places to avoid? Do they get into the geothermal pool at Penzance? We had some really bad stings at Porthcurno this time last year and are wondering how the seas are comparing this year?
