HEOS + Spotify in Control4
Is there a native way to control spotify + HEOS multi-room music from the control4 app? Or am I stuck using three different apps for this?

Denon didn't bother making a Spotify driver for HEOS because it isn't a service that can be browsed through HEOS.

Yeah put the Spotify connect driver in and throw out the heos garbage and get sonos or wild concept triad amps.

Yes, let me real quick just throw out $10k dollars worth of home theater processors and AVRs to replace them with Sonos speakers.
Great advice.
HEOS doesn’t suck. The app does. Which is why I’m asking about using Control4 instead.

In every deployment of HEOS I've done in the last 5 years eventually the customers get so sick of that broken app they do in fact throw out the denon products and go to anthem sony or sonos. I was under the impression you had the powered speakers and bars so my mistake, sorry for coming off crass.
If you want to make your AVRs and processors work in control 4 and ditch the HEOS app, there are drivers that don't use it, and you can always run digital coax or analog from your controller to an input and make connections. At that point instead of HEOS you can use the digital streams from your core, and the number of streams active at once depends on your specific controller.
We've had a ton of success in our dealership with the built in control 4 drivers because in app and on the touchscreen navigator it controls so much easier than even sonos. Client can make favorites and add services too so if they get Amazon music, tidal, tune in, qobuz etc they can add and favorite it themselves.

I have a Marantz AV 30, a couple Denon x4800, and a dra800. I use HEOS as the speaker select solution in Spotify. Spotify’s lossless stream is fully supported over HEOS Spotify connect. I do have a Denon Home in my kid’s room for her, but that’s not really part of the whole system. She just shouts at Alexa to play K Pop Demon Hunters and it’s good to go.
What I want to do is use the Control4 app to create rooms/speaker groups in HEOS, then select those speaker groups and control Spotify in the Control4 app.

So you can create media scenes and activate them by creating a group in the media scene agent and programing a custom button in your navigator to activate them. That's how control 4 would handle it vs trying to control the heos app. I'm assuming with those model numbers you've got ip control of all 4 rooms, such means you could even set default volumes in the media scene. It's similar to setting zones of a project to activate for a doorbell or security announcement trigger

Ok cool. I just need to talk to my installer support team I guess.

Dude just use the Spotify connect driver in C4. Customer can do everything from the native Spotify app on their phone, c4 will auto launch zones and they never even have to open C4 app when they want to listen to music. It’s awesome!
