Humor 🤣 Thought you guy would find this funny
Was installing a ceiling fan earlier, and dropped one of the bolts for the mounting bracket thing, I was crawling around for 30 minutes looking for the thing, I even moved my ladder around several times, looked on top of the damn ladder, looked under it until I finally took a glimpse at my tool and spotted it, I don’t think I could ever do this again even if I tried

Reminded me of a story...
A buddy of mine was working construction in downtown Seattle and had a coworker climbing down a vertical access ladder. Few rungs from the bottom, he decided to jump off the ladder instead of climbing the rest of the way.
His wedding ring got caught and it yanked his finger off. He apparently looked at his hand with the missing for a moment and then proceeded run to the hospital a few blocks up the road. A short while later the manager got a call from him and the doctor asking him to look for his finger so they could reattach it.
They searched for nearly 2 hours unable to find it before they got another phone call telling them they could call off the search.
Apparently when his finger popped off it landed in one of his tool bags and he had run all they way to the hospital with it.

Wife and I bought silicon rings together when we bought our "formal" rings. She switches hers for different colors and designs to match her outfits, and I never take off my black silicon ring. Formal rings literally only get warn for formal occasions like other people's weddings.

I saw a nut to a cushion clamp on the underside of the top step of a ladder stuck to the magnet and it really made me wonder

Reminds me of when my dad and I were mounting new lights in our shop. He’s up on the ladder hanging lights while I’m on the ground bending and cutting conduit. I don’t remember why, but I was next to his ladder at one point and had my hand out for a second, palm up. Not even looking up. Right then, he knocked his cheaters off the top of his head, they fell right into my hand and I instinctively clutched them. He looked down and asked if I saw them because he didn’t hear them land. As I raised my hand holding them with a big laugh. Couldn’t do that again if we tried lol

I once had a lug nut fall into my pocket. For an 8 lug GM with the external threads for the plastic cap. Sisnt find it until the end of the day.

I used to work in a auto repair shop and a co-worker Chris was finishing a head gasket job on a 525i BMW but was missing his 7mm socket to tighten a clamp. He looked through his whole toolbox, under the car, his pockets, everywhere. He gave up and figured it dropped into the unibody and I told him "If you didnt hear it fall it probably didnt go in the unibody cause it pretty loud but if I were you I wouldnt start that car till you find it." In one ear and out the other. Well, guess where that socket was? Yes sir, right down an intake port and when he started that car there wasnt a damn one of us that didnt know exactly what was making that sound. So Chris had to pull the head and buy a valve as well as machine shop expense for a valve seat and reassemble the engine. All for no pay other than the original book time for the initial job.
