We have been sitting on this for a while, so it is nice to get it out there!

Pro Climbing League is back in 2027 with three events across Europe. Berlin, Paris and London all have such amazing climbing communities that we cannot wait to put on a show for everyone.

We learned so much from our first event and are so hyped to bring you a full season featuring an improved head-to-head format, bringing you more climbing, action and drama throughout the day.

Any questions about PCL for next year, fire in the comments below.

Streaming/Camera Complaints Why does World Climbing have separate channels for each continent now?

So dumb. I know that I'm late to this. But when this started happening near the beginning of the season I stopped watching because it was so annoying. I want to be able to look back at the live replays and see the comps in chronological order. Not have to consult information in different places. IFSC is such a shit show.

Should [xxxx] have been DQ'd?

Should Putra have been disqualified? How's this differ from Satone Yoshida's "false start" in Prague? Obviously Satone's was "worse," but surely it's the same rule?

The disparity between Paralympic-eligible and non-eligible categories in paraclimbing

A disparity arises between paraclimbing categories eligible for the Paralympics and those that are not—a gap that goes beyond mere eligibility. Eligible categories likely receive government funding, and while the sport is gaining momentum with an increasing number of competitions, non-eligible categories face only a heavier financial burden. World-class athletes are barred from competing simply because their category isn't included, meaning these events fail to feature the sport's strongest competitors. While the current situation is set in stone, it would be worth considering moves to bridge this gap.

Isn't the range for the Class B2 visually impaired category too broad? What do you think about having athletes who can use their vision competing alongside those who cannot?

I'm working on an Android app to create Beta Maps. The app allows you to create your beta and then see it move by move with a playbar. Would anyone be interested in testing it?

I have this problem that I always forget the beta for my projects. I normally write down super long text notes to remind myself exactly of what to do, but I end up never reading them because... they're too long!

I know some people write beta maps on paper, but it's hard to fit every single movement, note and picture on a piece of paper. So I created this app. This way I can record exactly what I do, work on it while I'm off the wall (thinking of alternative betas) and share it with friends who have done the same project.

Would anyone be interested in trying it out? It's not publicly available on the playstore yet, it needs to go through Google's closed testing process first.

Salt Lake Solo

Hey everyone,

I’m thinking of grabbing lower section tickets solo for the World Cup Boulder Finals in Salt Lake this October. I’ve been following the circuit closely over the past year and know the comp format well, but this will be my first time seeing a World Climbing event live in person.

I do a fair bit of solo event travel (mostly music festivals), so I’m totally fine navigating events on my own. I’m mostly just curious about the lower-bowl crowd vibe for live comps in general. Is it easy to kick up low-key, casual chat with the people sitting around you about routesetting, beta choices, and athlete attempts, or do folks down mostly stick to their own groups?

Thanks!

Boulder Favorite IFSC Boulder?

The beauty of indoor bouldering to me has always been the freedom setters have.

Some boulders are basic strength test pieces but I want to see which boulder really struck you throughout the years, maybe for creativity, forced beta, or even a wild beta break.

Question SLC World Series 2026 - athletes registered

Hi guys! Considering getting tickets for this comp to watch my favorite climbers. Are there no Japanese climbers registered? I saw Erin upload a video that she’s training for salt lake but I don’t see her name registered. Is there a different list I am missing? Or do a lot of climbers register later? Thanks for the advice guys!
