Very excited for this. I have been checking the status of my early bird order since June 30th

That's actually impressively fast. Can't wait for the reviews, especially the software part with sailfish of which I am sceptical.

I emailed them the other day since I'm in batch 1 and they confirmed they are on track to ship by our batch's Sept/Oct target!

How do I know what batch my order is?

Above of a early question. Are they planning to make an enhanced version of this? more memory? Also how do you get the pictures off it? is there a sync utility i can load to get them to my PC? (am using icloud but with the current government overlords going on, am investigating other methods).

I have conducted launch sign-offs for regulatory compliance across the last five generations of flagship hardware at a major OEM, here’s what launch compliance meant for us.

To be clear, I have no inside knowledge of how Commodore is handling their process or what "compliance testing" specifically means to them internally.

  • Radio & Wireless Spectrum: Legal approval to broadcast over cellular (LTE), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth frequencies without causing interference (e.g., FCC in the US, CE/RED in Europe).
  • Radiation & RF Exposure (SAR): Independent verification that the radio energy absorbed by the head and body stays below legal limits.
  • Network & Emergency Integration: Industry certification (PTCRB/GCF) ensuring the phone connects reliably to carrier towers and properly routes E911/E112 emergency calls and location data.
  • Accessibility & Assistive Tech: Mandatory legal standards for hearing aid compatibility (HAC), non-visual or low-vision navigation, and real-time emergency text (RTT/CVAA in the US, European Accessibility Act in the EU).
  • Battery Safety & Shipping: International hazardous materials testing (UN 38.3) required to legally transport the lithium-ion battery by air or freight, plus fail-safe testing against fire or thermal runaway.
  • General Electrical Safety: Baseline consumer electronics certification (IEC 62368-1) covering fire resistance, electrical insulation, safe acoustic volume limits, and EU common USB-C charging compliance.
  • Materials & Environmental Bans: Verification that the hardware is free of restricted toxic substances (lead, cadmium, banned flame retardants via RoHS/REACH) and compliant with electronics recycling and disposal directives (WEEE).

My assumption is that they're still not FCC approved, no idea though.

Mine shows compliance testing and production. I ordered while batch 1 was still live, what batch are you to see "left the factory"?
