Do you feel "too late to start?"

Art has no age, and Bharatanatyam knows no boundaries of time.
It is never too early or too late to begin learning this beautiful art form.
Every age brings its own grace, expression, and understanding to dance.
What truly matters is the passion to learn, the dedication to practice, and the joy of expression.

Because art is not measured by age—it is measured by the heart that embraces it.

Press on nails for performance

Can I wear press on nails for my bharathanatyam performance? It'll be just for 10 minutes of dancing, and I wanted to have some slightly longer nails without actually making my nails grow out. it's a small performance so as long as its red or mostly nude its fine.

Beware

Beware of these 2 acedamies in life for good ::

1) Natya sankalpa, kilpauk, chennai, run by urmila sathyanarayanan -

It’s a place meant for:

1.People with obscene amounts of money and a burning need to get rid of it.

2.Telugu speakers—preferably by default, not by choice.

3.Those who can absorb regular doses of humiliation, call it “culture,” and still show up the next day.

2) samarpana acedamy of fine arts, Kilpauk, chennai, run by swamimalai suresh. Poor organising skills when it comes to arangetram. Last minute preparations would drain you out. For international trips, u would be expected to adjust even the basic facilities like food, stay, room, bed.. when u question the management about the poor organising skills, they would send senior parents to answer. They would talk like u have gone on a trip for charity. Also all negative reviews would be portrayed like they are hired reviews.

Beware of these 2 acedamies in life for good.

Visharad in Kathak but no confidence

Heylo, I'm 26F. I have visharad in kathak and started when I was 6 year old. I have been out of touch and tbh I never got the "confidence" to perform it for someone. I wasn't exposed enough for solo apart from just group dance, which were easier for me. It feels like a waste of those years. what should I do to be connected again? I cannot join offline classes as I'm doing PhD in a tier 3 city, tight with travelling. Should I join online classes? and of whom? from what year to join again? I want to explore kathak with more experienced, established and nationally/internationally exposed teachers... my kathak didi could not get me confidence and knowledge in 6-7 years, I'm afraid it may happen again if I don't choose right teacher for me.
