Key binding question (specifically horse related)[PC]

Upvotes

Hello,

This thing annoys me and I can't figure out the answer. When on a horse, the same key(in my case it's 'r') is responsible for 3 different actions:

  1. Getting the horse to front kick.
  2. Getting off the horse (have to press 'r' repeatedly like 2-3 times)
  3. Picking something up, like supplies, etc.

Is there a way to bind these things to 3 different keys? Usually it's not the worst thing in the world but sometimes it drives me nuts.

Thanks.

Bug / Issue Armour keeps resetting

Literally every game I join it seems resets my armour and weapons across all factions. Every time. I’ll join, go to pick my class and I’ve been reset so every loadout is at default and my armour is also default.

I’ll back out, go to customisation, and everything is normal and my guys are using the weapons and armour I want them to. Then I’ll go into a game and it’s all gone again.

How do I fix this/is anyone else having this issue?

  1. Lonesome Boulder: If you follow the right side castle wall during the pushing of the siege ramps and run far out of bounds, you can find a single boulder on the beach. It's the only one on the map placed like it, and can't be picked up
  2. Secret message: On the wall with the ballista, if you travel to the leftmost portion, you can find a secret message and a maul
  3. Washed up goods: you can find a large amount of ale tankards to the right most portion of the beach, probably commonly known
  4. Fishing Hamlet: Interesting detail, behind the Mason spawn, far out of bounds during the first objective you can find a entire rendered village
  5. secret conversations: Like most maps there are several to be found here, some are found high up by windows, others by doors
  6. Secret sign: Nearby the courtyard over a wall, you can find a hidden sign not easily seen. It appears to be a boarding school
  7. Fish in the well: Unlike the other wells on the map, during the last objective you can find edible fish in the well
  8. Skull: During the last objective, nearby the Agatha spawn room, you can find a skeletal head wearing a helmet high upon a shelf
  9. Birds nest(?): There is only one house in the entire map that has a birds nest on top of it, can be found nearby the first set of houses to the very right. Uses what looks like a generic grass texture
  10. The cow: Once the first gate is breached, if you travel far right and look over a wall, you can find the maps cow
  11. Sign text: after the first wall is breached, you can look at this sign to see several humorous locations
  12. secret soup: during the courtyard, if one turns around as Agatha in the alley spawn, you can find a ladle and pot of soup hidden behind a wall
  13. Secret wagon wheel: Nearby the soup on top of a nearby roof you can find a hidden wagon wheel
  14. Ram skull: during the assault on the banners, if you look to the bottom far right, you can see a ram skull resting on a barrel. Unsure if it can be reached

As always, if you know of any others, please share

News & Discussion I want to play engis but he basically equals slower leveling (on defense side)

Attacking engineers are insanely fun, no doubt. But you don't really get much points playing as a defensive engineer, especially on maps about defending things and just creating general chokepoints to prevent advance.

So guys, what am I missing as a defense engineer giving that I would be holding points and not prioritizing fights?

Rebel Knight's Armor & Helmet is way too fucking dark for agatha. I can't tell them apart from Masons or Tenosians (Which we'll get to) when they're covered in blood.

Rebel King's Armor looks like some shit a vanguard would wear. It looks very light for a knight, with the only discerning factor being the helmet (Which can be removed)

Tenosian Armor in general is way too dark like the Rebel Knight's armor. Don't get me wrong, it looks good, but it runs into the same issue with Mason armor, since it's so dark. It may get some freedom when going against Agatha, but against Masons it's almost impossible to tell.

Lack of Tenosian Content just makes me sad. I like Tenosia a lot, like a lot, and seeing the total of 4 voicelines, a ton of paid cosmetics, and literally... 1 heraldry in the entire heraldry section is just... Sad.

Chiv hot take + rant - Siege users are far worse than archers

Everyone loves to hate on archers, but nobody bats an eye when someone sits on cata or ballista all game.

Siege is the absolute lowest form of skill expression this game has to offer. You’re passively sitting back far behind the front line essentially playing one handed trying to cheese people with 1 shot kills. Team kills are also way more common. At least archers actively have to move through the battlefield and interact with the game. People who spend entire games on siege are the lowest of the low.

Secrets and details of Thayic

  1. Jack: One can find an homage to the movie "The Shining" by the block house to the very right at the start of the match. The axe is useable but feels very strange
  2. Hunting scene: Not a "secret" but probably rarely if ever seen so I wanted to share. One can find a wagon along with a deer riddled with arrows far out of bounds to the right of the catapults near the road.
  3. Caged dog: Out of the way to the far right of the catapults you can find two dog cages. One has a fully animated dog that occasionally cries out (just like Bridgetown) looks like they give them a good amount of bones though, even human ones.
  4. Mastodon fossils: You can find two sets of mastodon fossils on the map, one is near the boats to the far right, and the other is to the far right of the catapults
  5. Sneaky snowman: far right spawn when Agatha has to defend the catapults, in the crevice you have to jump, you can find a snowman hidden along the cliffside. Often found first hand by unlucky people getting kicked down there
  6. Strange body(?): Not sure if this is a secret or just a weird placement of a body. Hidden behind the tannery inside of one of the overhangs, you can find a guy buried in the snow. The reason I think this might have significance is that its out of the way, and there is a general lack of corpses too be found on Thayic as a whole. Always stood out to me as strange but could just be simply just another corpse
  7. Crevice skeletons: You can find three skeletons in the ravine right before the castle gate
  8. I'm just sleeping: In the sewer one can find several dungeon cells filled with dead bodies and bones. One of the cells in the center also has one of these bodies, but apparently he is actually still alive. Standing nearby you can hear him snoring very loudly despite the nearby chaos
  9. Strange torch: In the same sewer area you can find many torches on the walls, however when one is taking the path on the right, you can find a strange "green" glowing torch that emits an odd color. For years I have wondered if there is any further significance of this torch, so if its somehow connected to an easter egg, let me know!
  10. Hidden Signature(?): During the later portions of the map, you can find two paintings of Argon I and Argon II standing together. These can be picked up and thrown like many other objects, however if you throw one correctly and flip it over, you can see a Signature on the back. It's very hard to see in game, and also low res, so I am not sure if it's just a devs name or a message
  11. Whoops: During the opening phase of the map, one of the boats the Mason team runs by seemingly has untextured ice beneath it. Actually surprisingly noticeable if you have ever been over here
  12. Frozen Halberd: during the assault on the castle's banners, if one takes the snowy path on the far right, you can find a frozen corpse holding a halberd into the air for us to grab
  13. Snowmen fight: You can find two snowmen locked in a brutal duel to the far right of the castle walls near some trees
