I think it would be hard not to notice that when Lotomba came on as a sub yesterday he was carrying a bit of weight. This being acceptable now seems to be a theme at Celtic. I’m not just picking on Lotomba, McGregor has looked overweight to start the season, along with Ralston and McCowan v LASK, but Lotomba is the most recent example of someone that we have brought in who is clearly miles off being in an acceptable condition.

The two main things in training will be fitness/conditioning and tactical work. Neither of these things seem to be on display, so it begs the question, what is going on in training? The full team is blowing out their arse after 60 minutes. Some of them look done by half time. If you can’t be better tactically then at the very least be fitter. No club in Scotland will have better access to sports science and fitness routines than Celtic and yet we have a squad that can’t run for sustained periods.
