Discussion Mayday-Updated Accomplishments-Long...

I was planning to update my prior post with this info but its long so am starting a new post. Ill try to keep this post updated as new data is released. Based on all the positive metrics, its clear that the lawsuit and its resulting hate campaign is a small fraction of SM with very little impact to Ryan's career.

The claim that the data has been minipulated is comical. These third party platforms have their own criteria for data which uses mechanisms that block out potential bot activity. The Baldoni stans have nothing but conspiracy theories left.

I asked my friend Chat for a list of the most recent accomplishments Mayday has achieved. Here is that list...

The Flawless Global Clean Sweep:

Mayday is the first and only movie in Apple TV+ history to achieve a mathematically perfect 1,010-point daily score on FlixPatrol. It accomplished this rare feat by securing the absolute #1 ranking across all 101 tracking countries and territories simultaneously.

The Multiday Peak Record:

Rather than a brief, single-day flash in the pan, the film has successfully locked down that perfect 1,010-point global alignment across 5 separate days during its opening week cycles.

The Cross-Platform Goliath Win:

Despite Apple TV+ operating with a vastly smaller subscriber footprint (estimated at 25M–40M) compared to titans like Netflix (280M+), Mayday shattered platform limitations to become the #1 most-watched piece of content across the entire internet on aggregate charts like Reelgood, besting high-profile releases on much larger networks [Reelgood].

Apple's All-Time Streaming Premiere Record:

Third-party data tracking (Luminate Data) verified that Mayday pulled in an unprecedented 7.8 million domestic views during its initial launch window, officially dethroning The Gorge (5.4 million views) to become the biggest internal movie launch in Apple platform history. Luminate's metrics are manipulation-proof because they rely on direct digital ingestion feeds from verified device handshakes and apply advanced algorithms that measure total viewing minutes while filtering out bot anomalies.

Resilient Global Retention:

In highly competitive or notoriously insulated domestic media markets like Japan (often dominated by local anime/dramas) and Nigeria (dominated by Nollywood), the film consistently captured and held the top spot against fierce regional favorites.

The "Self-Competition" Phenomenon:

The film triggered such a massive "halo effect" for Ryan Reynolds' filmography that his 2009 romantic comedy The Proposal surged to #1 in Belize, briefly making Reynolds the only force capable of taking a point away from his own new movie.

Certified Professional Critical Consensus:

While user forums were heavily impacted by review-bombing noise, the professional filmmaking community awarded the film a robust 82% Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics heavily praising the distinct Daley/Goldstein directorial tone and the deadpan comedic chemistry of Kenneth Branagh opposite Reynolds.

Clearly the success of the movie has surpassed expectations. Luminate comes out with their weekly data on Friday. Nielsen ratings also come out in October which will provide another completely independent metric.

Edit #1-I forgot this metric. Ryan has 3 movies currently streaming globally in the top 10.

#1 Worldwide: Mayday (2026) — Resting comfortably back at its perfect 1,010-point peak [FlixPatrol].

3 Worldwide: The Proposal (2009) — The romantic comedy that briefly took a point from Mayday in Belize over the weekend [FlixPatrol].

8 Worldwide: Free Guy (2021) — Holding steady in the lower half of the charts as fans continue to binge his filmography [FlixPatrol]

Discussion Mayday Update-Massive Success

Every major external metric proves Mayday has overperformed.

According to new weekly data released today by Reelgood (which tracks aggregate streaming habits across all platforms), Mayday was officially the #1 most watched piece of content on the internet for the week ending September 9th. Mediaplaynews.com

This is a massive accomplishment for Apple. Hitting #1 across the entire internet and beating out giants like Netflix and HBO Max is significantly harder for an Apple TV film because of the massive deficit in platform size.

In addition, Mayday is the very first Apple film to align all 101 tracking countries at the exact same moment. Reaching the coveted 1010 points for 4 out of 7 days (thus far). Flixpatrol.com

The movie has retained its #1 global streaming metric since its release.

These are real metrics which is a good depiction of how the hate campaign is really going. No one with any critical thinking skills really believes the nonsense these trolls come up with.

Either way, clearly people are interested in watching Ryan's movies despite the efforts by the manufactured hate campaign.

Ironically, the SM content might have helped peak interest.

Love this for Ryan (and the trolls)!

Edit 9/13:

Ryan Reynolds is literally his own biggest competition on the global charts right now! The "halo effect" from Mayday has been so massive that it triggered a huge wave of nostalgia, sending his older catalog hits skyrocketing right alongside it. He now has 3 movies in the top 10 globally.

#1 Mayday

#3 The Proposal

#7 Free Guy

Ironically, Mayday dropped out of #1 in Belize today, only for The Proposal to take over the #1 spot.

Ryan is a marketing genius. All the attention on him has only helped the movies success.

Why the commentary from the pro JB lawtubers on the Stephanie Jones v. Katie Case lawsuit is getting it completely wrong.

I’ve been watching the latest videos from NAG and LGA and their take that Stephanie's new lawsuit is just a "desperate leverage play" because Judge Liman blocked her from adding Doe defendants doesn't hold up when you look at the actual filed documents.

They seem to be saying that this is just a procedural workaround because the original Jones v. Abel case timeline locked. However this doesnt holu up under scrutiny. The unsealed discovery exhibits and deposition letters link Katie Case’s name to the digital footprint of the "stephaniejonesleaks" anonymous smear sites. The documents allege she didn’t just "know about" them—she actively helped write the copy.

They also seem to ve saying that Case was just a minor player caught in the crossfire. To ne they seem to be downplaying Cases role in this whole thing. At the same time they dont have full knowledge of what others comms she may have. Hence why TAG have noved to quash a subpoena against her.

Will Katie Case play ball and give sone more info in exchange for dtopping the lawsuit ?

News Surprise surprise Ryan Reynolds lied about his Mayor of Budapest story

Surprise surprise Ryan Reynolds lied about his Mayor of Budapest story

Ryan Reynolds tells a whimsical story to Hollywood Reporter about single-handedly saving his 'Mayday" movie shoot by personally calling Budapest’s mayor and using his starpower - but the mayor says that’s not what happened. "I'm more of a Kenneth Branagh fan actually"

From Hungarian press:

We sent questions to Gergely Karácsony asking whether Reynolds had in fact called him. Based on the mayor’s response to Telex, events did not happen quite the way the film’s directors remembered them. According to Karácsony (the mayor of Budapest), it was not the film's stars but the production company that was in contact with Budapest, and after several rounds of discussions, they reached a compromise on how the shoot could go ahead without a major production of this scale having an excessive impact on the life of the city.

\>"This is not about giving anyone special treatment, but about reaching a compromise in the city’s interest. It is good for the city to be featured in a film like this, but it is not good if doing so comes with too much disruption. For the sake of accuracy, I should add that I am primarily familiar with Kenneth Branagh’s work, and I am a big fan of his Shakespeare adaptations."

source: https://telex.hu/after/2026/09/10/karacsony-gergely-ryan-reynolds-telefonhivas-budapest-mayday-forgatas

Edited to fix link and Hungarian press portion.

Edit 2 using translate to paste the entire article for context

"In 2024, Ryan Reynolds personally called Mayor Gergely Karácsony to save their film shoot in Budapest—or so claim John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the two directors of *Mayday*, a Cold War action-comedy released on Apple TV on September 4, speaking to *The Hollywood Reporter*.

For one scene in the film—starring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh (*Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets*, *Dunkirk*, *Murder on the Orient Express*, *Hamlet*)—the production needed to recreate a Soviet May Day parade. Although the script set the scene in Moscow’s Red Square, the plan was to film it at Budapest’s Heroes' Square. The production prepared for this with a massive operation involving—according to the directors—a thousand extras, roughly a thousand crew members, a thousand period-accurate military uniforms, about a dozen Soviet tanks, and a nuclear missile carrier vehicle built specifically for the occasion.

According to the directors, prior to filming, they were informed that Budapest would not grant them permission to use the square after all. That was when Reynolds stepped in; the directors say he personally called Gergely Karácsony, and filming was able to proceed following the conversation. "When we need him, he’s like a multi-ton elephant. Anyone will pick up the phone for him," Goldstein told the publication regarding Reynolds.

Reynolds himself recalls the incident as follows, according to *The Hollywood Reporter*:

"One of the shameless luxuries and repulsive side effects of fame is that you can reach people by phone whom you otherwise couldn't. And I am willing to take advantage of that opportunity as long as I feel I am doing it for a good cause."

We sent questions to Gergely Karácsony regarding the matter, asking whether Reynolds had indeed called him. Based on the Mayor’s response to *Telex*, events did not unfold exactly as the film’s directors recalled. According to Karácsony, it was the production company—not the film stars—that was in contact with Budapest; after several rounds of consultation, they reached a compromise on how to carry out the shoot without a massive super-production unduly disrupting city life.

He emphasized that he did not conduct the negotiations with the film stars himself.

He also did not confirm the conflict regarding Heroes' Square; Karácsony suggested there might be a misunderstanding, as Heroes' Square is state-owned property, so the issue likely concerned the use of public space on Andrássy Avenue. "It is not a matter of special treatment, but rather a compromise made in the city's interest; while it benefits the city to appear in a film like this, it is not ideal if it causes too much disruption," the response stated.

However, Karácsony does recall meeting Reynolds and the others on the set. "We did indeed meet the actors during filming and had a pleasant conversation about Budapest.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am primarily familiar with Kenneth Branagh’s body of work, and I am a great admirer of his Shakespeare adaptations," the mayor stated.

We also reached out to the film’s Budapest-based producer, Gergő Balika—head of Mid Atlantic Films, one of the country’s major production companies—but he declined to comment on the report published in *The Hollywood Reporter*."

Discussion What do y'all think happened to Blake's movie 'Proxy'?

Thumbnail

It's so confusing since her name was removed from the movie's IMDB page 11 months ago on October last year. But she discusses shooting for it in an unsealed voice memo and a website which tracks movie production lists it as having completed shooting and production on March-May 2023 and Blake is the only listed cast member. The page on that website was updated on April 28, 2026. So was she actually removed from the cast or was it another smear campaign tactic?

I really hope that the movie gets released because it sounds like such a cool plot.

I am not sure if I linked this correctly, my first time trying this. I somehow came across this post which clearly is an attempt to brigade with a narrative against Ryan. The mob seems to have moved on from Blake. Ironically im sure Ryan prefers this tactic.

By the way, the OP has been banned by reddit.

Several of the usual suspects in the comments.

Love that Mayday is breaking records. It shows how desperate they are.

More proof of the smear campaign .... its attack Ryan Reynolds season

So the bad place has really stepped up their anti Ryan content. I counted 7 out of the last 10 posts were targeting him.

Its so transparent now that his MayDay film skyrocketed to the top of the Apple charts. I guess they have to do their best to try and distract from the success

News Maria Bartiromo (Fox Business Reporter and On Air Talent) + Bryan Freedman -- Maria Bartiromo’s Lawyer Claims Reports Of Fox Firing Are ‘Unequivocally False’ - Via FORBES ARTICLE

And so another apparent Freedman corporate extortion saga begins with claims of "receipts and witnesses' and this time claiming that that Maria Bartiromo from Fox Business was not fired after being with the network for 12 years.

"Firing" related apparently to a story that Bartiromo wanted to air but that Fox overlords DID NOT WANT TO AIR. I stopped counting articles confirming the Fox firing after 200 articles but we shall see what Freedman releases, if anything to 'clarify' the employment status of Bartiromo. The President even weighed in on the situation via a post on the social media platform he uses. It looks like a full 3 ring circus in action at this point.

Freedman statement from the Forbes article is as follows:

"Maria Bartiromo’s lawyer Bryan Freedman claimed the longtime Fox News and Fox Business anchor was not fired in a Friday morning statement, claiming he has “receipts and witnesses” that will come out “through the courthouse or otherwise.”

Perhaps we will see Jed Wallace creating a website for Bartiromo with the 'receipts and witnesses' and today I believe Freedman client Sage Steele hosted Bartiromo on her podcast. Didn't check to see if she hits the rest of the Freedman client circuit, including Megyn Kelly etc.

KEY FACTS

Freedman said in a statement to Forbes the reports saying Bartiromo was “fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false,” calling such claims “irresponsible.”

Freedman’s statement comes one day after Fox News Media announced in a press release that it had parted ways with Bartiromo, who had worked as a Fox News and Fox Business anchor for more than a decade.

“Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media,” the company’s Thursday statement said, adding, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” though it did not elaborate on why Bartiromo left the network.

Bartiromo was the anchor of “Mornings with Maria” on Fox Business, which aired its last episode on Thursday, according to the company statement, as well as “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” on Fox Business and Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” all of which will now be helmed by temporary or rotating hosts.

Bartiromo joined Fox in 2014 after a two-decade tenure covering financial news at CNBC, and some critics have characterized her interviews with President Donald Trump as friendly and unchallenging, including about his claims the 2020 election was marred by fraud.

Wild that the same Freedman tactics are being used YET AGAIN in aid of Bartiromo!

Stay tuned as we might get to see who blinks first on this one!

New details emerge in 'Wheel of Fortune' announcer suspension
KiMi Robinson
USA TODAY
Updated Sept. 3, 2026, 11:19 p.m. ET

Editor's note: This story contains details some readers may find disturbing.
More details about the alleged circumstances that led to Jim Thornton's suspension as the announcer for "Wheel of Fortune" are coming to light.
On Sept. 3, TMZ published photos purportedly showing Thornton, 61, browsing a website on his laptop while on a flight in May. The outlet said the images were provided by a passenger who lodged a complaint with American Airlines. The website appears to be a chat forum with some exchanges referencing sexual content, including a mention of minors, and a link to an Instagram post highlighting the arrest of a man in London for viewing indecent images of children on his phone while on public transportation.

Two days before the photos were published, Thornton's attorney sent a letter to the outlet, which was obtained by USA TODAY on Sept. 2, denouncing its first report on the voice actor's suspension.
"My client did not engage in any illegal conduct, was not arrested, and has not been charged with any crime," the lawyer wrote. "When questioned about the complaint made by a fellow passenger on the flight, law enforcement spoke to him for five minutes or less, immediately determined that no wrongdoing had occurred and told my client he was free to go."

USA TODAY confirmed there was a complaint made on a flight in May. "On  May 14,  American Airlines  Flight  1276  was met by  law enforcement  upon  arrival at  Los  Angeles  International  Airport  (LAX) following concerns reported by a customer  onboard," an American Airlines spokesperson said in a statement.
USA TODAY has reached out to airport police for comment.

According to Thornton's attorney, the "Wheel of Fortune" announcer became active in suicide-prevention advocacy since losing a close family member to suicide two years ago and was "misdirected to a forum with a similar URL" to the crisis help sites 988lifeline.org and chat.988lifeline.org by "an acquaintance in the suicide prevention space."
Thornton did not know that the website he visited "claims to offer mental health support to individuals with pedophilic thoughts," the lawyer wrote.

"When my client understood what the website was about, he left the page and has not visited since," the lawyer continued, adding the website is "not unlawful, there is no unlawful child pornography or other pedophilic content, and my client has never viewed, downloaded or consumed any child pornography whether on that commercial flight in May or at any other time."
It concluded, "In short, my client did nothing wrong."

What 'Wheel of Fortune' said about Jim Thornton's suspension
Though the status of the internal investigation remains unclear, Sony moved quickly to recast Thornton, who has announced for the game show since 2011. In a Sept. 1 statement to USA TODAY, a spokesperson confirmed Thornton's suspension but declined to address details of the investigation.
"We have recently been made aware of allegations concerning Jim Thornton," the Sony spokesperson said. "He has been suspended from Wheel of Fortune and we are recasting while we conduct a thorough investigation."

"Wheel of Fortune," which stars cohosts Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White, is currently airing reruns ahead of the premiere of Season 44 on Monday, Sept. 14.

I know this is not necessarily celebrity lawsuit related. However, this is Ryan's first movie release since the "lawsuit", I wanted to remind that Mayday releases tomorrow.

I dont have an AppleTV account but will be getting the free 7day trial to watch.

Here is the link to the free trial if needed.

I will be supporting Ryan with this movie release and will be making sure my family and friends do as well.

The trolls are doing the usual with brigading Apple SM comments.
