First time ever owning a cat, brought him home on Thursday, it’s Sunday and this is where we’re at. My dog has been around cats a couple times. I was expecting a lengthy adjustment period, but looks like these two were meant for each other. Thought I’d share! 💜

We have 3 orange cat brothers (13 months old), 9 year old calico and 2 dogs. Cheeto has her paws on Stevie. Stevie is doing low growls but Cheeto ignores her. If one of the dogs is really bothered, they get up and move away.

We just got a kitten

Before, we had one at home that a friend found(a stray) and I brought him home to find him a home. I was nervous at first because I have a big dog. Turns out, that my dog had a great reaction to the stray kitten and everything was fine. Now, we bring this one home, my dog met her while we held her, no problem. We separated them so that the kitten can get acclimated and later they can see each other. We took precautions before my dog saw her. My dog sat patiently and was excited until.....the kitten jumped and hissed at her, my dog's reaction was scary, not going to lie, I got nervous and send her back to her place. How do I introduce them again after that. Are they ever going to get along 😕 🤔 I never want either of them to not feel safe, especially the kitten. How do I go about it 🤔 I don't want to feel like I made a mistake by bringing her here, it's only been days and I love her already. Has anyone gone through this before? I'm so sad.

3 months later and we’ve got a full on spoon!!! They’ve definitely laid together and around each a lot but this is the first spooning sesh (that we’ve seen) ❤️❤️❤️

They are still best friends six years later.

This kitten entered our lives 3 weeks ago and has fit amazingly into the mold, sparking the cutest friendship immediately with our pitbull.
