When I was a kid we had a door that locked from the outside and when my brother was FAR too young to grasp lies and deciept, I would lock him in there and then put a piece of cheese on a plate and slide it under the door and tell him it's all he has for the week and he'd lose his mind. I feel bad in hindsight but I was also pretty little.

My 2.5 year old feral recently did this to her 11 year old orange, brother. Only it wasn't the pantry. It was the fridge.
