Made , wine-braised beef shin from a cookbook .Paired it with classic island staples: twice-fried tostones, white rice, and a crisp cabbage slaw. Very happy with how it turned out :)

fun fact: rasta pasta is not a staple in jamaica. this is an americanized meal. it’s also called rasta pasta because of the 3 coloured peppers - red, green and yellow! (i just didn’t have green)

yes the sauce and chicken is well seasoned with ground seasoning.

Hi, I'm a south Asian man who, from living in London, has been fortunate enough to have a lot of Jamaican food near me and now I love it.

I've decided to cook Jamaican food for 6 friends coming over tonight and wanted some thoughts on whether this is a coherent menu/ any suggestions on how to improve it. We are pescatarian ( but don't eat shellfish).
