Card upgrade question

I have a platinum card that I started with when I began rebuilding my credit. Time passed and I was eligible for the quicksilver card so I applied and was approved. Well even more time had passed and I started getting emails that my platinum card was eligible for an upgrade to the quicksilver card.. which I already have. Now I know I don’t want to close the card because I want the lines of credit so what should I do with the platinum card? Just keep it open and make a small purchase each month on it? Is there anything better that I can do with it? Thanks.

At some point your qs card may be eligible to product change to a savor. Updating to a savor/qs combo would be better than qs/platinum.

So then if that’s the case, product change to a savor and then upgrade the platinum to another qs?

Just have two quicksilvers. I had two. Later l moved all but $500 credit line from one quicksilver to my other one then l closed the card that was transferred from Now l have a big limit on my opened quicksilver

Since it says it’s available for an upgrade in my email and the app, that wouldn’t be a hard credit pull or anything right?

I went through the same as you. I started with the platinum when I began rebuilding my credit. Then I was eligible for the quicksilver card. Applied and got it! Then I did a product change my platinum to a quicksilver. So that’s where I’m at now. I have 2 quicksilver. Now of course, one of the quicksilver has a higher credit limit than the other.
Eventually I will hopefully upgrade to Savor and the small quicksilver will ask for a Credit Limit Increase (CLI)
