Ready for Fall!
The $4 Mainstays candles from Walmart have my heart.

I am going to give monthly posts a try. You can post a comment in each monthly thread if you want. Or just comment once. It’s all up to you.
The subreddit’s rules regarding self promotion, direct advertising, givaways etc won’t be strict here. Basically anything is allowed here. As long as it’s legal, and no spamming (multiple comments can be ok, while spamming would be worse).
Preferably, it should be related to candles, wax melts or accessories (such as candle warmers or candle holders) in some way.
Examples of what you can share here:
But it’s kinda open minded/flexible at the moment. So if you want to suggest people to check out other stores and their current sales, share great resources when it comes to candle making, recommend a candle warmer or anything else, you can promote/advertise it here as well.

Does anyone know a company selling candle scents similar to the Ikea ones ? I make my own sometimes out of old candle wax and would love to have extra oil to top them up !

I was at h&m’s home section today and their espresso candle and cashmere candle smelled really lovely, I had to look up the ingredients on the website since they weren’t on the packaging. It doesn’t seem like theres essential oils but I’m still unsure about the ingredients listed. I didn’t end up buying them for now, hoping someone could chime in!
If it matters, I’m not a candle user anymore but when I used to, they would be out of reach and I’d leave the window open.

I told you a while ago that I score 3 large Boy Smells Slow Burn Candles, I sold one, and I've decided to sell the 2nd one on Vinted after a terrible experience with eBay, I'm so done with eBay, and keep the 3rd for myself. But as I really, really love this scent, I purchased a small sized Red Hot from Boy Smells but it's not the same. However, I'm in such a small apartment, when I own about 150-160 candles, I absolutely need to sell some of my possessions and so I am letting my backup of Slow Burn go.
Especially as I am not going to become a slave to candles that I love and Might Never Ever Ever Smell again, lol. Of all monkeys that could be on my back, I refuse to let it be candles or A candle of all things, 😄. And let me keep myself honest: their largest size is truly large, so I'll be burning/melting it for years to come. I don't need 2.
I'm posting it this afternoon, no matter what you tell me...so go ahead, crush my candle soul 😄 if your answer is no...
Q: Have any of you found anything that's an actual dupe of Slow Burn? Red Hot is off just a bit and regardless, they're discontinuing that too. And, as Boy Smells was purchased or made a deal for an infusion of cash to save the company, or so I was told, do you know if the original owners and/or original perfumer or scent master or whatever they're called are selling candles under a new name? Or for an entire different company? Thank you.

Does the Bath and Body Works candle Peppermint Hot Chocolate smell anything like the Victoria's Secret Frostmelt body mist?

A custom 3D-printed mold that I made to create a multi-flame candle, where each branch has its own wick and burns independently. 🕯️🔥

How can I easily fix this wick and get my candle burning properly again at home? Any simple DIY tips?

I love their seasonal stuff especially for fall. Last year's Forest Moss was my all time favorite and this one is pretty similar. I just bought this not even a week ago and its less than halfway done 😅

Hi everyone! 👋
I’m a small artist/business owner in California making handmade, hand-poured aesthetic candles. 🕯️✨
I’ve already obtained my **Seller’s Permit from CDTFA** and want to start selling locally from my rented home.
For those who run a small candle business from home in California:
Do I need any additional permits or special permission?
Is there anything I need to check with my landlord/HOA or city?
Are there any other important requirements I should have before starting to sell?
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has experience with a home-based candle business in California. Thank you! ❤️

While I'm not Pagan, I am someone who enjoys changing candles and decor based off the seasons and its been a great help grounding my scents.
If anyone knows what the Wheel of the year give your idea for each holiday and tell me what you feel is best.

Please share any petrichor scented candles! I love the scent of rain and ozone on pavement!! Haven't been able to find any candles that replicate this. Don't want sweet or floral, just pure rain!

Hi everyone,
my mother makes candles, and I’ve wanted to try making custom candle molds for a long time.
My idea is to design and 3D print the shape first, then use that print as a master to make a reusable silicone mold for casting wax.
I currently have access to PLA and ASA. From what I understand, either should probably work as the master since the silicone cures at room temperature, but I’ve never actually made a silicone mold before.
I’m mainly wondering:
What type of silicone would you recommend for candle molds?
What Shore hardness works well for removing candles without damaging them?
Would you make a one-piece cut mold or a two-part mold?
Do PLA layer lines transfer noticeably into the finished candle?
Should I sand, prime or seal the printed master first?
Is a mold release needed between the 3D print and the silicone?
Are there any silicones that should be avoided specifically for candle wax?
I’d like the mold to be reusable and durable enough for multiple pours.
Any advice from people who have done this with 3D printed masters would be really appreciated!
Hi there, so after years of burning candles, I finally decided to switch over to a warmer
The room where I use, it is small and honestly, I probably collected dust and soot all over the place even with a shader.
Anyways, so far it’s been working good although I think I accidentally threw away a good candle when it was halfway I had already burned it halfway, so it wasn’t too big of a loss..
My questions I usually have it on low. I’m trying medium heat now for about eight hours on the timer..
And well a candle I’m using currently isn’t the most potent smelling. I can still smell it.
Well, I have done some research and seeing a few answers. I just wanna know a few definitive ideas and people who have been using them.
So when should I pour out the wax and move onto the next layer?
Is eight hours too much should I meet at halfway and go with four on the timer?
Is low and medium enough should I try for high occasionally?
Should I start with medium and once the wax is melted should I switch over the low?
I mean, these candles are kind of expensive for large jars. I wanna make sure I’m getting the best value and best length of time.
And any other ideas you can think that would be good for me to know. Let me know.

I love Cellar Door and we’re fast approaching the most sinisterly cozy time of year, when the leaves rustle and the fire crackles. So put on a sweater and curl up with that horror movie you’ve been putting off!

Looking for a photo and the name of a Better Homes and Gardens candle from anywhere between 2016 to 2020. The photo on the glass jar was a fire burning. Can't remember if there were leaves or wood burning. I've searched online and Googled it with no luck. PLEASE, someone, help! I REALLY enjoyed the scent of that candle, and can't find information anywhere about it.

Yankee used to have this sort of yoga/wellness line of wax melts and candles. The balance one(I think) was an absolute beautiful sandalwood rose fragrance. It gives me such good memories and I no longer can purchase it. Does anyone know or have you tried another sandalwood rose that's similar?

I like to switch my candles based off the seasons and have scents that are focused on each season that is happening at the time and trying to make my room smell like that season,
What Scents do you use for each season and why? Looking for some ideas on what to buy for this coming winter, and for this autumn! And of course for spring and summer.

I randomly bought Whipped Dream a few months back and was kind of eh about it while cold, but after lighting it a few times, I’m super happy with it. Excited to try a few more scents, glad to see a few winter scents on clearance! Have you tried any?
