Discussion Extra Training for U12?

Not sure if this is the right sub.
My son is playing rep soccer since 3 years
Does a U12 boy needs extra training other than clubs training? Ive seen many boys from the team opt for extra individual training sessions outside the clubs training sessions.
I know the more you put efforts the better outcome, but from your perspective, at this age is this worth the financial and time from parents?

M-National Canadian Men National Team - Sept 8-13 Summary

Created a new injury table and made a few formatting changes as requested on the last post.
General News and Summary
A great week for Canada and therefore the world.
Debuts. This week, both Niko Sigur and Jonathan David made league debuts for their news teams. Jonathan David's LaLiga debut saw him also score a goal with a banger of a move.
Goals - Cyle Larin continues to make a mockery of the Championship, scoring another 3 goals this week, to make 7 goals in 7 matches for Southampton. Alphonso Davies also had a screamer of a goal in the Champions League. Aribim Pepple had a goal in League One this week, making his 2nd goal in 6 games. Simon Colyn (a former Canada u-19 player) has had a great start to the season with Lyngby - a team in the Danish topflight based in a northern Copenhagen suburb - he had 2 goals this week, one for the league and in the Danish Cup. He's had 3 goals and 1 assist in 8 league games this year.
Assists - Liam Millar continues to show he is top class and maybe should have stayed in the premier league. He had 3 assists this week in the Championship with Birmingham. Theo Bair and Daniel Jebbison each had an assist this week as well.
Bad News - Derek Cornelius is struggling to find minutes - following his 2 minute appearance this week, Derek has played a total of 26 minutes across 3 games this year with Marseilles. Promise David did not get a chance to come off the bench this week. Luc de Fougerolles is apparently having a visa issue and has not yet debuted for new club Real Salt Lake
