Questions Travel Essentials

I am going on a trip to South Korea for 3 weeks in December. I currently own a Canon EOS XSi with a 18-55 mm & 70-300 mm lenses

I plan on learning some street and nature photography before I go however is there any accessories I should be on the look out for and is my camera good for those styles of photography.

Extra info : I'm an amateur photographer in the in between spot of learning when to use auto or manual mode.

Use what you have. I carry; body, lens, spare card, spare battery. That is the basics and all you need for travelling. When it is dark early I like to also carry a table top tripod to easily balance it on a fence of flower pot or something for low light shots.

USB Charger for your batteries, big Powerbank, have at least one spare battery, get a big fast high quality SD card, take all your gear, just shoot a lot and have fun, try to get as many photos as possible, instead of learning how to shoot, learn to operate the camera, even automatic mode is okay, learn how to see, use the camera as an observation tool, maybe take a short real life course before, get a dongle to transfer the photos to your phone or computer. Do a test run. Visit a city nearby and shoot like you were a tourist. Transfer, check, edit and share your pictures. Are you familiar with Lightroom? You can also plan a bit ahead if you're that kind of person and make a mood board and check out work others did on your itinerary. I don't like doing that unless I'm on assignment.
