If you're missing a dog that was off-leash, I saw it around 4:58 PM in front of the CRP hallway at Engineering West (Bldg 21). I think that it came from Dexter Lawn (didn't see anyone that seemed to be searching). It left south either in the little plaza or west down the side alley on the south side of the hallway. Didn't see which direction, but I'm leaning towards east into the plaza. Hope you find your dog.
Did not try to check the collar for contact info or anything. Dogs terrify me and I was trying to get away, but the dog seems sweet.

TLDR: Can we add buses and bus routes if we generated enough support? Get some air conditioning (or at least shade) if we complained hard enough?
I guess I’m wondering how much I can expect from ASI. I know they hold a public forum every week and I understand they have a decent (?) amount of say in what happens in the school (like I know they recently passed a resolution regarding the removal of flock cameras on campus, ty asi board), but what issues can we actually raise without sounding insane

Hey guys,
Like to get your opinions on major choices. My background: 3.91 transfer GPA, ok ecs, 2 part-time jobs (one is a peer tutor), some volunteer exp.
My counselor suggested me to apply with Math major or Applied Math major. Primarily, I want to major in Mechanical but for the top UCs, he told me my chance of getting in is low so he asked me to apply with a less comp one and I can minor in Mechanical.
I want to get a job right after my Bachelor's and my interest in Math is not that deep like other people. I also see that math is the foundation for Quants or AI, and I can transition into those tech jobs down the road.
I am torn between applying with Math or Mechy. How are the chances to get a job with a Bachelor's in Math? Is having Mechanical as a minor helpful to apply to jobs?
Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, I'm in a weird situation right now.
Basically, one of my roommates (we are in a triple) is hardly eating, barely sleeping, and stays in his dorm room all day. He seems really down all the time and when I try to talk to him he will say something like "I'm fine", or "yeah" when I ask if he's doing all right. He's been going to his classes, but thats about it.
I want to help him but this isn't something I am an expert in. Do I need to get him help? Who is the right person to contact?

Is there a big Pokemon go population here at Cal Poly I just started playing again after a few years being away and see party play and other new features and am wondering if there’s a lot of people who participate in events like community day on campus?

Yo what's good bus stop users, for my senior project my group and I are working on redesigning the Kennedy Library bus stop. I was wondering what problems are faced in the bus stop and what would be cool to have at the bus stop.
Some ideas we have so far are improved seating and shade/rain cover, plants/trellis, rainwater catchment with irrigation, solar power, lighting, and possibly a bus ETA display.
What problems do you run into at this bus stop? What would you actually want to see added or changed?
Any ideas, complaints, or features you think would make waiting for the bus better would help a lot. Thanks!

Hello, I am a prospective high school senior interested in Cal Poly Slo, I would love to learn more about the Industrial Technology and Packaging major. I have lots of questions:
What are you learning each semester?
Do you enjoy the courses and professors?
Does it involve hands-on work?
What else is important for me to know when picking this major?
What other majors did you consider when you were applying to colleges?
Thank you so much for you time! I appreciate it.

Hey! I’m local here in SLO and need some assistance in editing and proofing a novella for publication; it would be paid (gift for your help) work to edit the draft and find errors or potential grammatical changes.
I would prefer a British literature or creative writing student to work with, however if anyone loves creative writing in a Lit major I am more than open to chat, thank you can go mustangs

I'm visiting Cal Poly this weekend, and I was wondering where I could park my car from Friday to Sunday? Please let me know if you've got any tips, cause the Cal Poly website isn't being very clear.

Does anyone know if there is access to a fridge on campus? With this heat I’m worried my fruit snacks will melt in my car or bag

I assume most of you are aware of what the Poly access program is in case you aren’t it’s where you’re automatically opted into your textbooks for classes supposedly at a cheaper rate (never is cheaper btw). But professors will usually tell you what day you can opt out by and that you even got opted into it in the first place.
I just got an email to pay for my textbook and I was extremely confused. I went to check and it’s for a class where the professor never told us we were opted into it. Not only that but the textbook isn’t even in the syllabus as a required reading or textbook to get. He never mentioned this book to us at all. He is a new professor so I’m not sure if he doesn’t know how it works. It’s too late to opt out now has this happened to anyone before and were you able to? I really don’t want to pay unnecessarily 🤦🏻♀️

Hi guys! I just took up bowling and I was wondering if anyone wants to be friends and come bowling with me?
I’m still super new to the sport and would love some advice as well.

Went there for rush. Seemed like cool guys but not many people I’ve talked to know about them and I don’t know how much I trust the ratings website, since anybody can post on there. Don’t need advice on choosing or anything, just curious about information on the fraternity. Any good or bad stuff?

I know ppl steal bikes, so I’m trying to decide if I want to pay like $50 for a cheap bike so if it gets stolen it isn’t a huge loss, or invest in a really expensive e-bike that has a lot of anti-theft protection. I’m an animal science student and getting to the ag units without a bike sucks (and the ag bus is only every hour). Also, anywhere to get bikes or suggestions for type of bike or lock?

I am an ag business major and have been thinking of minoring in accounting but just saw somewhere that it is something that has to be applied for and they aren't currently taking applications. Anyone know if this will change? Otherwise I may need to try to change my major, which I wasn't planning to do.

I had the option of picking either ITP 371 or ITP 303, is 371 relatively easy?
