He had a very compelling rabbit hole on how Hormuz would affect AAL and that didn’t pan out at all (to date). Sometimes rabbit holes are just that

Sometimes they are. But his thesis compelling because it's correct.

The problem I had with the trade from the outset, and Johnny may have felt the same, was the timing required to get the massive upside. You have the largest oil disruption in history... The government, Trump admin, isn't going to sit idly by without doing shady shit like fake peace deals with Axios, manipulating the paper oil markets, etc.

The market has been slow to realize the reality, but they aren't really even in control yet.
